List of palms: Phoenix Canariensis(Canary Island Date Palm), Phoenix Dactylifera(True Date Palm), Chamaerops Humilis(Midditeranean Fan Palm), Washingtonia Filifera(California Fan Palm), Washingtonia Robusta(Mexican Fan Palm), Brahea Armata(Mexican Blue Hesper Palm) and Butia capitata(Pindo or Jelly Palm).
I got some Mauritiella Flexuosa and Mauritiella Aculeates from my aunt. Can I plant the Mauritia Flexuosa and Mauritiella Aculeata in the tank because they are considered aquatic palms or should I plant them both in a Muddy pot?
I spotted Some Nypa Fruticans and some coconuts while my family and I were leaving Palawan. The Nypa palm is located in the background of the picture where all the fronds are tucked in.
It’s always been healthy looking but over the last few days I have been seeing it get brown and today with the rain (could just be the rain) it looks red.
Locayed in Phoenix, new to palm tree care, hoping to see if there's any chance this one will make a come back.
A couple of the fronds seemed to perk up a bit after our rain this weekend. Figuring I need to cut the couple that seems to be complete dead.
Any other suggestions appreciated!
I have an opportunity to buy 3 meter date palm tree for ~20 bucks. But it looks like this:
Could you tell me whether this is a great deal or the tree will die soon or was poorly maintained? Why is it so tall without its characteristic thick trunk, like on the picture below? Is it possible to grow a thick-trunked date palm tree with leaves-rich branches indoors in middle-europe climate? Just in case: I do take into consideration that I want to do it indoors so it won't be as astounding and beautiful like the ones on picture below :)
My Bismarckia palm in So. California. Wish more people would plant these palms here.
