What Is this connected account work? Is it for other banks apps? When I click to edit the “account”, the loading pops up and disappears. Thought it would display current balances but it doesn’t not let me get past

I’m new to the iPhone and Apple wallet. I added a transit card for the DC metro and it seems that it is automatically setup for express mode.

Express mode apparently means I just hold my phone to the reader. How can I be certain that the transit card will be used and not one of the credit cards stored in the wallet?

I use Apple Cash for my business sometimes. So have customers send me a custom amount to me through my number. I’ve been doing it for years without issues. I’ve had my account say “Restricted” several times and one time I was permanently restricted, but so was able to transfer my balance to my bank account.

However I have not had the “Account Locked” your account is under review, reviews take up to 2 days to complete. I am worried because I can’t transfer my balance and it’s a substantial amount over 10K+ . I am afraid they are going to steal it or Greendot bank will. I’ve had PayPal steal my funds before and they just take it.

I used google to find out if Apple will unfreeze my account after 2 days. Most posts I found are people who are in the same situation, panic and ask what they can do but there is no update or answers. I need to know if their funds got released or if anything happened. Everyone says customer support is useless.

Has anyone had this happen to them and was their account or funds released?

I’ve had my account restricted several times and it ended up being okay but this is completely new to me.

Looking for insight/understanding of how ApplePay obfuscates card information, so please correct me if my understanding is inaccurate.

My understanding with ApplePay is that it generates a randomized virtual card number for each transaction when it is used, so the real card information is never provided to the store/merchant. Twice in the past two weeks, I paid for McDonald's using ApplePay via the McDonald's app, and the receipt email confirmation from McDonald's shows the last 4 digits of my real credit card number in the payment information. That makes me wonder if my real card information is being passed directly to the app. If that is the case, it seems to defeat the purpose of ApplePay obscuring real card information.

My question is, does Apple only randomize the card number it uses for certain merchants/stores, or is the last 4 provided to the merchant by design? Or is there a setting that needs to be enabled to ensure it always uses a virtual card?

Edit: for reference, when I go to Wallet > tap my real CC > press the ellipsis for more info > Card Number, I see that it shows Apple Pay: x2940 and Physical Card: x1234. The email receipt from McDonald's shows "Account/Card Number: ************1234".

I would like to know which Fidelity cards have you added to the Apple Wallet.

The picture shows which establishments I added that have that natively from the app or the web (IKEA for example).

I know it is possible to add other cards with apps like “Passbook” but I don’t like it because the passbook generated look less refined than the “official ones”.

I’m from Spain so maybe all the US establishments you may think would be not available here :(

P.S. I went to the DMV, and they acted clueless, saying I didn’t need to come in and should handle it in the app. That’s actually why I went in, because when I called the DMV hotline, they told me to come in.

I made a purchase with a merchant using Apple Pay as a payment method. They charged me not only the recurring fee that I had agreed to but also an additional one-off fee that I did not authorize. The recurring subscription is now cancelled, so they won't charge me next month, but I am scared of any other unauthorized payments to happen.

Will cancelling this specific card on my bank will stop Apple Pay from trying to charge the rest of the cards as it usually happens when one card gets declined or has insufficient funds? On the invoice, the payment method is listed as Apple Pay.

I have contacted the merchant and my bank, but they're usually slow. For now, as a safeguard, moved all my funds out from the account that the card was connected to and removed other cards from Apple Pay. However, I'd like to keep using my phone and Apple Pay for in-person purchases after I have confirmed that Apple would not try to charge other cards.

In early September, I had to re-pair my Apple Watch with my phone after an update, so I had to restore all my credit cards and re-validate my drivers license on the watch. (It is also on my iPhone.)

When I went through the process to set up my Maryland drivers license on the Watch again, it rejected my request. The error message linked me to the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), which sent me an email saying that it would send me a new code (through U.S. mail) within two business days allowing me to re-verify my request. About two weeks later, I received it.

However, by the time I got the code, all details from my rejected set-up attempt had disappeared. So, I started from scratch and entered the code. It failed. I tried a few more times. No luck.

I decided to set it aside for a week and try again, in case I'd tripped some "attempt" limit. But when I tried again, I got the error message that I'd have to contact the MVA again. Rather than going through that, I decided to forget about it for a while and try again in a month or so.

I was reading something today -- about seven weeks after my initial attempt -- about digital drivers licenses that made me think of it, so I opened my Wallet. There sat my drivers license, completely verified and fully installed.

I'm not sure what happened or when it happened, but somehow it restored itself. These really are early days for all this stuff.

Everyone else seems to have a picture of Bixby Bay Bridge on their CA mDL. Mine is just grey. It’s been like this since I signed up a month ago.

I’d like to use my Apple Card sometimes but Face ID turns me off, so I’ve avoided it. I got the Apple account in the Apple store when I bought an item there, but never used it for anything else. Just wondering if there’s a way to use it without Face ID…?

I removed all my cards from my Apple Wallet and I failed to re-add it back.

Called up HSBC and told them I can’t add my card to Apple Pay - they somehow reset it and I was able to add it back to Apple Pay as normal on both iPhone and Apple Watch.

Also tried to add Wise card from the app and it worked ONLY adding on the iPhone. Failed to add to Apple Watch.

Also tried contacting Starling and they said no Mobile Wallet on their end. Can’t add to both iPhone and Apple Watch

couldn’t possibly be Apple’s side as HSBC was successfully added into both iPhone and Watch

couldn’t be the bank as again HSBC was successful but starling said they had no tokens or anything???

Hi! When I attempt to make a purchase online using apple pay it is saying "Update Shipping Address" in red and saying that the total amount is pending because of this. But my information is entered correctly. I have made online purchases using apple pay before today and never encountered this issue. I have tried re-entering my address and it is still saying that the address is invalid. How do I fix this? Why has it just started doing this?

Hi! As part of a class action settlement, Juul, Inc. just sent me a stack to apologize for destroying my lungs. I chose to receive it on a prepaid Mastercard, which I now regret because idk how to actually access those funds. I tried adding the money to my Apple Cash card, but it wouldn’t work. Anybody having a similar issue?

I am currently trying to add a digital only travel card to my Apple wallet. However when I go to do this (both in the Wallet App and through settings) I don’t get the option anywhere to add a travel card. I just get the above screen. Has anyone come across this before and if so do you have a resolution?

My bank does not support Apple Pay, so I'm looking for some service that allows me to bridge the bank account to Apple Pay. I was thinking to something like PyPal but with a virtual card (in Europe, PayPal has no cards afaik)...

Hi y’all hope y’all doing good, so I live in a country where Apple Pay isn’t supported by banks here. I always forget to carry cash or cards with me so I came up with Redotpay(it uses crypto to spend) they gave a virtual Visa card which is supported by Apple Pay so I just by usd dollars add them in and use it that way but thing is there’s still many places here or local stores which don’t even have PoS so I can’t use Apple Pay, leaving me option to either withdraw cash through ATM but their physical card is 100$ too expensive for a student like me. I could carry some cash and deposit all my of other money in that card but then sometimes my parents say to pay utility bills/pay study fee which then again can be done by local banks but not by Redotpay I would have to sell the usd dollars again for my local bank transfer. So how should I do it? Is it possible to scan bank card through nfc thing and add it to Apple through a third party app or something like how you add loyalty cards? Or I just can’t use Apple Pay at all until my country banks supports it
