Hello everyone I am currently a college student at the University of Tennessee. I am looking for help on a project I am doing on the stereotypes surrounding the people of Appalachia. If you are 18+ and live or have lived in rural Appalachia and could fill out my survey I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfWIRAEtcGY2A-5f8fnLGcwhsbc-B3T-qd3s4N9cr7TSOinPg/viewform?usp=sf_link
I am section hiking the AT, and I am looking for hiking shorts that are made for women that are curvy, NOT overweight (I wear a 10/12 size pant). Most brands seem to think female hikers have thin waistlines and slim hips. Also, they have almost no pockets, and the front pockets are shallow. Any suggestions???
Wondering if it's a good idea to ask for donations for a thu hike bc it's so expensive
Hey guys! I just started up my Instagram page @ourappalachia where I’ll be sharing stories, folklore & historical facts from the regions throughout Appalachia. I’ll also be launching a tee shirt line with a percentage of my profits going toward preservation & overall nature conservation. Hope you’ll check it out! Thank you so much!
I'm down in the southern tip of Appalachia, right near the southern trailhead.
If anyone is interested in meeting fellow preppers, maybe cross training, helping each other with tasks to prep their homestead, etc, hit me up!
How much money did you spend, on gear and food, to hike the whole Appalachian trail?
