Can't find green screen interviews

Does anyone have the green screen interviews Annie did to promote masseduction back in 2017? The one that was basically a parody of a typical interview with generic and uninteresting questions, which Annie gave deadpan bizarre answers to or ignored? I thought that was amazing but can't find it anywhere now

Just so I know we’re all on the same page

Hell is Near is a dope fucking opener, right? You have to listen to it 3 times then get into the rest of the album.

Also, I got tickets to the LA show in Aug. I want to see all of you there. Let’s tailgate in Rob’s car. Rob, I hope you got room in your trunk cause I’m putting my beer in it.

Any Vegas fans in here? We should definitely be besties and go to Zia together as well as the silver stamp.

See y’all there in Aug!

Any favorite unreleased tracks?

I’m the most familiar with her solo studio albums… as well as krokodil and grot. I’m wanting to get a bit under the surface though and would love to take recommendations!

Glory Box Cover scrubbed from internet

Annie covered Portishead’s Glory Box a while back but it got taken down from everywhere on the internet for some reason. Anyone have it downloaded or uploaded elsewhere that can send it to me?

a tale of two drummers

if you want to experience the genius of david grohl, listen to the original recording of flea, then listen to the live-version on »everybody's in L.A.« and compare.

you're welcome.

What songs auto play for you after ABS?

Just wondering what songs Spotify queues for you after all born screaming, for me it's:

Digital witness Give it up for love- gossip Say it like you mean it-sleater Kinney The feminine urge- the last dinner party Pay your way in pain

Vinyl just came and this will finally be my first listen to the new album. Bottom to top, this is next in line to listen to. Any thoughts on how to arrange them?

Gifts at a show?

I’ve been to a few shows of Annie’s before but was thinking of making her a little piece of embroidery based on the album while I wait for the Toronto show. I was wondering if anyone has ever given any gifts at a show? Like if I could just set/gently underhand toss a little piece of fabric at the edge of the stage at the end of the show or hand it to someone to give to her? I have the weirdest anxiety and wasn’t sure if anyone had experience/what the vibe is with that. (Feel free to ignore if this is a dork-ass question.)

A Thought About Reckless and the Roxy Music Tour

I saw St. Vincent open for Roxy Music when they toured together. The other day, I realized something. In Every Dream Home a Heart Ache featured prominently in Roxy Music’s set during that tour. It also has a very similar arrangement to Reckless. Particularly, in the show I saw, Brian Ferry played the first part of In Every Dream Home a Heart Ache solo on piano. I then listened to the two songs side by side, and there is definitely a resemblance (just in structure, not chord progression or anything like that). I am now convinced that In Every Dream Home a Heart Ache was a strong influence on Reckless

What is your St Vincent album ranking now that All Born Screaming has been released?

Genuinely curious as a Daddy’s Home lover to see where it places and where All Born Screaming goes. There’s a lot of divide in her genres and what people may enjoy so I’m interested to see.

What song of Annie’s makes you the most emotional?

New York just has this really great emotional vibe, like not great in a happy way rather it gives you exactly the emotion you’d expect from it. It really brings such a sense of longing.

Cruel is also great in terms of a solid beat that keeps you invested and hanging on to every word throughout

Obviously there’s way more but yeah

Oh and of course All My Stars Aligned

And Happy Birthday Johnny

You know what I should stop there’s too many to list

A really good review :)

Not only is this good in the sense that it’s a positive review, but it’s also really interesting and thoughtful. I think you’ll all enjoy it.

Not a Very Glowing Review From Anthony Fantano

First off, I think Anthony Fantano is great. I disagree with him on a fair number of reviews, but he takes the time to actually dissect an album the way it deserves. He's also not afraid to go against the grain. His review of Daddy's Home is a highlight for me. He was one of the only critics to really explore what was going on beneath the surface on that album.

That said, he seems oddly technical in this video. For some reason he's kind of stuck on how this album was made from a gearhead standpoint, rather than taking a step back and seeing the bigger picture. The man obviously knows his stuff, but I wish the discourse steered more emotional rather than technical.

But, I think this is well worth watching.

Which SOPHIE tribute do you prefer? St Vincent’s Sweetest Fruit or Caroline Polachek’s I Believe?

Personally I prefer I Believe, I think it’s a better song overall and the lyrics aren’t so.. directly about how SOPHIE specifically died as they are in the first verse of Sweetest Fruit. Just my take.

Where does Masseduction rank for y’all??

Huge fan of the album and I know it’s a contentious one. Curious what the sub thinks.
