Posting guide

1. Mark NSFW posts.

This includes visible underwear, swimsuits, bunny suits, and suggestive situations.

Wallpapers for any device must be properly sized to fit the screen.

Minimum resolutions:

Desktop - 1920x1080

Mobile - 900x1600

Allowed aspect ratios:

Desktop - 16:10 or wider

Mobile - 10:16, 9:16-9:21

Include resolution and source anime in the title inside (parentheses) or [brackets].

Use [Original] if artist's own idea.

Flair your posts according to the type of image you are posting. The available flairs are:

Mobile - Vertical/portrait oriented wallpapers.

Desktop - Horizontal/landscape oriented wallpapers.

Multi-monitor - Wallpapers designed for more than one monitor.

Animated - Live/Video/Wallpaper Engine wallpapers.

Collection - A themed album of wallpapers.

Under your submission, leave a comment properly crediting the original source artwork/artist. SauceNAO and IQDB are excellent tools for finding original sources.

Respect the artist and their work - do not impersonate, steal from, or infringe on the copyrights of other artists.

All requests need to be posted in the dedicated weekly sticky thread.

With respect to reddit's content policy, illustrations with one or more of the following are not accepted: full nudity, undersized clothing for explicit purposes, visible sexual acts or fluids, visible or clearly outlined genitals/nipples, heavy fetishisms.

For wallpapers that share a theme make a album instead of multiple posts. No more than four posts in a 24 hour period.

Try to avoid reposting, your post will be removed if it has already been posted in the last 6 months.

Wallpapers created—entirely or partially—with any prompt-to-image AI program (Stable Diffusion, DALL-E, Midjourney, NovelAI, IRMO, WOMBO, etc.) are not permitted here. Please consider sharing them to /r/AnimewallpaperAI instead.

Wallpaper quality

• The wallpaper you are submitting should be the highest quality available. You can use indexers like IQDB and SauceNAO to verify this.
• The wallpaper you are submitting should be devoid of any unwanted distortion/stretching, transparent pixels, pixelation, and detrimental compression artifacts.
• If an image is not large enough, it can be resized using artificial upscaler programs like Waifu2x or bigjpg.

Wallpaper hosting

• Reddit: Images can be uploaded to Reddit's own image hosting with a file size limit of 20 MB (Legacy / Redesign).
• Imgur: Make a free account first to avoid lossy compression. For anonymous uploads the file size limit is 1 MB, for registered users 5 MB.
• ImgBB: By making a free account, you can upload images without compression up to a file size limit of 32 MB.
