I live in coastal Maine.
Some context, I'm in North Texas in the suburbs. I have backyard chickens that aren't free ranging yet. I have mice but the size doesn't seems realistic. Birds or squirrels? I have an screeching owl house near fig trees. The poop appears to be from my fig trees because of the seeds inside.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
My initial thought was possibly bear, but I’m entirely unsure.
Hi y'all. Saw this print early April of 2020 near the Great Miami river in ohio. Size 6 shoe for reference. not familiar with any 3 toed native species to the area, but there were a couple of these prints in a bipedal fashion. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you!
This is in Tempe, AZ and found in my car port for the third time now. The first one was a bit bigger, but the last two have been around this size roughly. Didn’t think to take the pic with something for scale, but this is probably pencil width. Can someone tell me what keeps leaving me surprises?
Wolves haven’t been seen in this area for a few years, but this scat looked particularly big. Still, I expect it to be coyote.
I'm not familiar with this scat. It's not deer, elk, bear, dog, lion, or cow.
Whatever it was had to be big enough to break this branch trying to get to apples. Gig Harbor, Washington
Found in Central TX backyard - I've seen possums now and then - the big blob is about 5 inches long at it's longest so I guess this isn't a squirrel ....
