Little Manchas Needs Your Help!
Our sweet little friend, Manchas, a rescued Chihuahua, is fighting for his life. After a series of misdiagnoses and improper medication, this tiny hero is struggling with a serious heart condition. A dedicated and hardworking house cleaner, Eloisa, is doing everything in her power to save Manchas. But the cost of specialized treatment and medication is overwhelming. Please help us give Manchas a second chance. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference.

Recently I posted to r/squirrels about a chipmunk I saved from a sticky trap that my landlord had put out.
Well just a few days later, I find another sticky trap in the garage, and this time there's a House Wren completely stuck to it.
I gently freed it from the glue trap with olive oil, and I did my best to rinse it off with water and scrub gently as it came off the trap -- however as I got the bird free it quickly jumped away into some nearby bushes.
I'm worried that I did not do a good enough job cleaning the birds wings. We have a bird bath, as well as a pond in the yard. Does anyone think there's a chance this bird will be able to clean itself off, or did I screw up by not cleaning it better?
Ok there's so many rescues in Chicagoland alone. When i check Chicago animal case control website, dogs don't stay more than a few months ago i find it so weird when I see stuff online about dogs staying at a shelter for 3 years. If this true? Is Chicago the only place where animals don't stay more than a few months? Are people lying or if chicago an animal sanctuary? Which is hard to believe because there's so many backyard breeders here and soooo many dogs being given away on the illinois animal rehoming facebook group. Like hourly.
I am resident of Thane, Maharashtra. While coming back to home from Dapoli, Ratnagiri at Sarpanch and Sons Restaurant Add-Police Station, Mangaon Pune Highway, 263, near Nijampur, Bagwadi Phata, Koste Bk., Nizampur, Maharashtra 402120
I saw a young dog with severe health issue. He had wound near his genital and visible 8-10 tumors. He was walking around when expelled. But tend to sit or hide in restaurant washrooms.
I don't have any idea as how to help him or contact anyone to help him.
Long story short, we found a cat last week and took him in. Originally thought he was lost, but vet says he was more likely a stray. He is sweet but generally not well cared for (parasites, fleas, not neutered, not chipped, upper respiratory infection, FIV+)
After taking him to the vet, we made a post in case someone wanted to claim him. One very militant lady responded and demanded to have her cat returned. We asked for proof of ownership, and she sent one far away picture from a year ago and one other picture that was also low quality. This is an all black cat, and there is really no way for her to know for certain that the cat we have is hers. The eye shape and skull shape seem to be different, and the cat we have has black ear whiskers while hers has white. She says he was only lost for two days before we found him (and they live 20+ miles away), which is not enough time to develop parasites, flea infestation, and FIV.
She made multiple concerning comments that indicate she views cats as disposable and just wants a cat because her grandson likes them. Based on this and her generally aggressive demeanor, I am positive that she is going to claim this cat if we let her see him in person even if it is not truly hers.
She is now threatening to file a police report for theft, which to me sounds like a hollow threat (and we haven’t stolen anything).
My plan of action at this point is to turn him in to the local shelter (no kill). Does anyone have any advice? This woman has been completely unhinged from the start and has now started sending emails with vague threats involving her son and “other actions” they could take. Even it was their cat, at this point I’m not comfortable meeting them.
URGENT PLACEMENT NEEDED FOR 4 RABBITS via All About Rabbits Rescue Www.AllAboutRabbitsRescue.org
TIME IS RUNNING OUT
These rabbits will be euthanized if placement is not found.
RESCUES ONLY!
We can only share publicly that these rabbits have outlived their usefulness, part of it consisted of being intact, and they deserve better than what they have endured in the last 2 to 3 years.
They are 4 male REWS (ages 2/3yo) and the same breed as in the photo. We are told they are in good shape, healthy and very sweet, and will be neutered next week.
HOWEVER once they are neutered, THEIR COUNTDOWN BEGINS!
If no placement is found, THEY WILL BE KILLED. Their time limit is about 2 to 3 weeks.
These rabbits deserve better.
RESCUES: Please reach out and I will make the connection to help save these rabbits. While they are local to NYC, we will arrange transportation, including long distance, if needed.
EVERYONE: PLEASE SHARE THIS POST
THIS IS URGENT
Thank you for kindness and support!
Ps: photos of the actual rabbits were not allowed. I will provide more details to those able to help. It's all I cam legally say until the rabbits are safe!
I would love to know more about your story.
Saving animals has always been what comes naturally to me, but it’s generally been on a shoestring budget, with me personally reaching out to other animal lovers who trust me enough to make donations here and there.
When people talk about what they’d do if money was no object, I always think the same: save all the dogs and cats. The ones on the street and the ones being put down in kill shelters every day. It’s absolutely heartbreaking that so many innocent lives are being lost daily. Maybe we can’t save them all, but I won’t let that stop me from trying.
I’d love to have space on some safe land for plenty of dogs and cats to play and live worry-free and well-fed like they deserve. Even other animals would be great, although I lack experience.
Basically I would have no idea where to start if I were to try formalizing what has essentially been a lifelong passion. Since I was young I’ve been taking in strays and raising litters to get them adopted to loving forever homes. Could it realistically be a career path?
Thanks for reading and for caring about animals.
UPDATE The girls are with their foster mom now and doing great! We can't wait to take them home when we get a place soon. 💜
Injured Crow
I discovered an injured crow next to my driveway. There’s another one that’s dead a few feet away. My guess is they got electrocuted somehow on the power line. I have called about a half dozen places including animal control but have so far had no luck with any rehab or wildlife places near me. I put some water out and dripped a bit into its mouth but I don’t know what else I can or should do.
Edit: I’m in Kern county, CA.
So just as the title states I am looking for inventory software ideas. I volunteer with a foster based rescue and we are trying to get a handle on all of our food and supplies. I just downloaded Odoo and it seems to be a little much. Using an Excel doc has become clunky and time consuming. So I am hoping to find suggestions from people in the know :)
