First, thank you to everyone who had advice for my first post on my frog.
But what seemed like blep looks to have gotten worst. Its coloration is white now, and it almost looks like it’s inflated; sort of like a balloon. I’m considering taking her to the vet, but I’m curious if anyone has any last minute explanations for it.
Picked these little guys up CB for 89.99 each. Not a common find at all so big W
So I've seen bullfrogs, and cane toads mentioned for good measure, eat mice, as well as mice squirming around inside of a bullfrogs stomach after being swallowed
If the mouse is caught hindquarters first by, it'll swivel around and attempt to scratch and bite which please not even a mark on the frog it only seems to piss them off more and speed up the eating process
Considering the things mice can chew through, including drywall and human skin for anyone who's ever been bitten by a mouse, how strong is frog skin
And they can't cut through the frogs skin and escape or chew their way out of the frogs stomachs
i don’t even really know what type of newt he or she is tbh, but love them either way.
He sits in the same spot every night when I go for a walk. It’s in front of a bank. Maybe a lot of bugs there, I don’t know.
I have good reason to believe this is the same American toad from a few nights ago. Thank y'all for helping me ID him.
Can't get over how much of a unit he is.
Its a ikea baggebo cabinet i transformed into a vivarium, its 1ftx1ftx4ft (WxLxH), i can make changes (i.e. add lights/heat lamps or change/add decor), although cheaper is better as i can use the money for stuff for my other pets, keep in mind my room sits at 30c in the day and 23c in the night and that it only has a magnet lock, reptiles are a welcome suggestion, but please no bugs/inverts or spiders
500 takes all 4 or 150 each eating whatever you throw at them must be in usa must know local laws and regulations
Hi! I caught a few tadpoles from in front of my house and need help identifying what they are. Located in St. Petersburg, FL. There is water along the side of the street from Hurricane Milton that hasn’t dried up and there’s a ton of these guys in it. There’s no pond or body of water immediately nearby aside from a pond that’s about a mile away. I’m guessing they are toads due to their size but I honestly have no idea. Any help with identification is appreciated; and if they are toad I wonder about cane toad versus native southern toads. They are in an open mason jar currently. Thank you!
I have an African bullfrog, and while I was cleaning out her water bowl today I noticed she has some sort of skin or tongue hanging out of her mouth. I’m worried that it’s some sort of growth.
