Okay so I submitted my online audition on Sept 1st 2024 and still haven't heard back from a producer. Is anyone else in the same position as me???
What's your opinion
I saw somebody made a post about robbed semifinalists from seasons 1-3,8, and 10-13. So I wanted to ask which people were robbed semi finalists from seasons 4-7 and 9. The seasons that had the top 24 format where two boys and two girls were eliminated for 3 weeks making the top 12.
In Season 11, top 11 week was “Songs in the Year you were born.” The only problem was almost every contestant chose a song NOT from the year they were born. See, a loophole was that if you chose a song that was COVERED in the year you were born then the original song didn’t actually have to be from that year.
Phillip Phillips (Hard to Handle) - original by Otis Redding, Black Crowes Version from his birth year
Jessica Sanchez (Turn the Beat Around) - original by Vicki Sue Robinson, Gloria Estefan version from her birth year
Elise Testone (Let’s Stay Together) - original by Al Green, Tina Turner version from her birth year
Deandre Brackensick (Endless Love) - original by Lionel Richie/Diana Ross, Mariah Carey/Luther Vandross version from his birth year
Josh Ledet (When a man loves a woman) - original by Percy Sledge, Michel Bolton version from his birth year
Hollie Cavanagh (Power of Love) - original by Jennifer Rush, Celine Dion version from her birth year
What’s the point of theme weeks if they just get disregarded 🤦♂️
I'm looking for which male singer has covered Sia's elastic heart. If anyone can tell me,I would appreciate it.
Which American Idol contestants are the most famous? Which contestants are well-known enough that a person who has never watched or knows nothing about American Idol would know about them?
In the early seasons of American Idol, winning almost guaranteed you a #1 hit. Some of the winners who didn’t have much success after the show still hit #1 with their first singles. Now that is almost impossible to do, and that is not to say the show is failing in that regard, more because cable tv does have enough viewers to insure an audience for the debut of those songs.
Who was the first winner that signaled the end of those guaranteed “out of the gate” success stories?
Some winners didn’t have #1 hits from the show, but following seasons were able to write that wrong and later winners did have that success.
What was the last winner that had immediate substantial success?

I auditioned for American Idol in October. The producer said I had beautiful tone and voice and asked me some questions, she then said I would hear back via email. I felt so confident due to her compliments, but it’s been two months, I know they’re still running through auditions so I assumed I may hear something after their final last call, but at this point should I just lose hope?
So I did the last audition on the 13th, and mind you I was sick. I ended singing something different than I normally do, the guy asked a bunch of questions, and he was really nice and genuine and said he didn’t know why I didn’t make it through to the winners circle before, but would get back to me in a couple weeks. I guess I’m asking has anyone made it to the winners circle a later date than their initial audition? Or was I just nicely rejected again.
Her first solo new song since Idol came out this weekend.
She is pursuing the CCM genre and sounds so good
I follow benson closely. I know he got his first grammy nomination this year. What other idol affiliated singers have earned grammy noms? Just curious.
When Haven was on Idol, I wasn't the biggest fan. I thought she had potential but needed some time to develop before taking off.
1.5 years later... and WOW! I think I was right.
I just saw her live at the Young & Out of Love Tour (amazing amazing show by the way, get tickets if you can or are on the edge). The entire group was fantastic, but I was shocked by how good her performance was! She had phenomenal stage presence and incredible vocals. It was a much more mature performance than she did on the show. And her new EP is amazing too!! Every song lowkey slaps and has great lyrics. I honestly think if she auditioned now she'd go further and be a threat to win, especially coming off of Abi's win.
I say all this to say... go check her out! I think she is the perfect example of an artist who used their experience on the show to grow and develop, and came back stronger.
Haven, can't wait to see where your career goes, and thank you for a fantastic show!
Any reviews of the show ?
Is it worth going ?
Odd no one here is talking about it
She got that album out pretty quick after her win.
