With both sitting at 5-0 after week six. If Army and Navy run the AAC slate and qualify for the AAC championship. They might have to play each other twice in two weeks, as the traditional end of the regular season Army/Navy game occurs after championship week. The AAC Championship being Dec. 6th, and the regular game occurring Dec. 14th. At least that’s what I’ll assume since a possible playoff berth is on line for the AAC.
I think it might be time for Army/Navy to move on from playing their rivalry game after championship week. Doing this cost Army a bowl berth in 2023 as they had six wins, but it came after selection Sunday, and some school with a losing record got to go to a bowl game instead. Especially more so now that both schools are in a conference that can possibly earn a playoff berth as a G5 champion.
