Hello,
I want to start selling at Amazon fba, but idk where to start, I am really looking to do this so my life give a flip, if anyone can teach me how to sell let me know, I don’t plan on paying any guru or non of that. If anyone can give me some tips on how to start and what type of business should I start with I would appreciate it, I already have my business fba account active just waiting for a good idea to start my business. Thanks you very much
Hey y'all,
i'm a seller that is getting into the liquidation game, selling pallets from truckloads, and everything.
I want to be able to find other sellers in my immediate area but im not sure where to look
I've operated my seller business on my own and have't made any contacts doing that.
I suppose facebook ads could be handy in this regard?
I know this is a dumb question, but are the brand products on Alibaba actually those products or are they real because they have some sort of trading arrangement..?
Hi guys, new to Amazon here. I have a brand product I want to sell and let me tell you some of the junk that I have to go through with Amazon.
I am trying to apply to sell my watches and the requirements are unrealistic:
Number 1 is easy to solve. Just take photos again, like I did to get my brand approved
Number 2 is extension of number 1, easy to solve
Number 3 is IMPOSSIBLE for watches. When is the last time you saw a 'model name or number or both' on the watch itself? NEVER or very very rare
What is number 4 asking for? Who puts their location of business on the watch or the box of the watch? Or even in the 'product label'? NEVER. Is this asking for my business registration or something?
Number 5 is impossible as well, because all my instructions are DIGITAL and on the website.
Seriously, who comes up with these rubbish requirements? Any ideas on how to solve these ridiculous requests? Thanks guys.
EDIT: I just submitted the photos and documents to the best of my abilities and guess what? Decision will be made on or before 13TH of Apr. Another 7 DAYS HOOOORAY AMAZON.
Do you buy from wholesaler or distrutor?
So, I think it works like this, right?
You buy products, typically in bulk from a wholesaler, then sell them on amazon for a markup.
Questions I have:
•Who do I contact to buy products in bulk to re-sell? Say, books for example, as I just read a bit of the book selling article on Amazon's "Seller University".
•How much capitol would I typically need to make a purchase from a wholesaler?
•What are the categories of products to sell with the lowest risk and most upside?
•Do you typically just stick with one category of products, or diversify your stock?
•Anything else I should know before learning how to become an Amazon seller?
I'd appreciate any useful advice or info you can provide. I'm 19, and used to sell candy in middle school, but that's the extent of my business experience. I have also watched lots of Shark Tank.
Hey all, I have 3 products sellign on Amazon. One is FBA, Two are FBM. My FBM's are much lower in volume compared to my FBA product. I have a sub 2% return rate across the board, but I have noticed that my FBM returns consistently do't make it back to me.
Amazon issues the RMA and return label.
I can check the status but they always default to: "Carrier picked up the package."
What is odd, is this status is what is shown as soon as the return authorization takes place. For instance, I've seen one at 5:30 pm on the east coast. Nobody at USPS is scanning packages at this hour.
I think in my 2 years of selling this product, the majority of them never show up, but Amazon forces the refund. I have reached out to them once before and the Amazon agent told me I have to contact USPS to sort it out, which I don't know how they would even possibly talk to me about an Amazon generated return label.
Has anyone else seen this and have you found a way to fix it?
I have never been involved in anything even kind of related to selling on Amazon, so I’m just getting started and have basically no info except for the basic steps to go through to start off.
I have been looking a lot on YouTube and other social media to see if I can find any helpful resources explaining ways to avoid mistakes, help things go smoothly, and any info that I maybe wouldn’t know already.
Everything I watch though ends up being some workshop or class I can purchase, with the same basic few tips before asking you to buy a class. Is there anywhere or anyone I can go to or anywhere that is an actually helpful step-by-step for beginners?
I have an LLC from Delaware, but it’s a sales tax exempt state so there is no permit requirement. Can I get a reseller permit from a different state. If so what state should I go with?
I am selling on two marketplaces (Canada and USA) individually. I would like to upgrade only my Canadian store to the Professional plan. However, when going to upgrade I see that the option to upgrade only one store is disabled and it is showing that I must upgrade both. A few questions:
If I upgrade both do I have to pay 2 separate professional plan fees?
How can I upgrade just the Canadian store?
If I can not upgrade just one store how can I remove the United States store completely for now?
Hey guys I’ve been an Amazon seller for a couple years now, today was my scheduled payout and they sent me the entire account balance and kept nothing in reserve. Had this happened to anyone else before.
I put our unofficial DBA name on the “full name” section of the seller registration form. Now I’m at the business verification step and my business partner is concerned that I made the wrong move and we won’t get approved. Our business is a corporation with joint ownership.
The customer service hasn’t been helpful. Anyone have any ideas?
I have published approved A+ content and it still does not show up on my listings. I've resubmitted it multiple times and waited multiple days to see updates. Seller support couldn't find any issues on their end, so they sent me to brand registry support. Then they sent me back to seller support. Nobody has been able to help me and I keep getting bounced around. Has anyone else experienced this issue and how did you fix it? I'm pretty frustrated, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have just packed all of my products into their cases. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to keep track of what ended up where! All of the products are individually boxed and labelled within the cases. What will happen if I just guess at what is in where, and I turn out to be wrong? Do I need to open everything and take it all back out? I'd really prefer not to.
I have boxed and labelled units of a product that is super small in size and like a box of pills. The prep required lists that polybagging is required so I was wondering if this is the case for every type of product?
Can I get ungated for a product that is sold as a pair and then create a separate listing that sells it as a single item.
Anyone know best way to get my listing active in Canada? Seller support has been no help at all. I have a variation of this product active, but the rest are not. Anyone got any insight ?
TLDR: Amazon is accusing me of having multiple seller accounts when this is not in fact true. The only thing I can think of is that I switched the name of my storefront in the past. When I try to contact Amazon Support, it keeps saying "This is not the right channel and I must reactivate my account in Account Health". However, Account Health requires me to submit verification that I don't have multiple accounts. HOW DO I VERIFY SOMETHING THAT I DONT HAVE?
Would this work better for items that have 40ish variants?
For example, I have a product with three different types of it. Let it be chocolate dark, milk, and white. When I type dark chocolate it shows white chocolate. When I type white chocolate I see milk chocolate. When I type milk chocolate I see dark chocolate. Why am I getting these results? How can I fix it so that when I type dark chocolate I will see dark chocolate? Maybe some experienced Amazon sellers can give me some tips, please. Thanks!
I was looking into listing my own skin balm what regulations does Amazon have to list stuff like that or can I just list it with no issues? Any advice or knowledge helps, thanks!
Hi guys
I'm reading and being told conflicting information in regards to this, so would be good to hear first hand experience from sellers.
My accountant along with other information sources online such as this guide (https://linkmybooks.com/blog/vat-refund-on-amazon-seller-fees) all state that we should not be charged VAT by Amazon on our selling fee's (Regardless of our VAT registered status) .
They state..
"If you are an Amazon seller and a registered business, for example a limited company,
you will be charged VAT by default on your seller fees. However, if you are a registered
business – regardless of VAT registration – these should not be levied against you and
you will be entitled to a VAT refund on these fees."
"Regardless of whether or not you are VAT registered, many sellers are incorrectly
charged VAT fees against seller fees, luckily it is possible to stop these occurring and get
a VAT refund on these"
"Amazon usually charges VAT on all of their fees until you can prove that you are a business entity. This is to do with EU VAT regulation. Once you provide Amazon with your VAT number they typically stop charging you VAT on your fees and instead reverse charge the VAT on them."
"Therefore, if you can prove you are a business or sole trader then they should not charge you VAT."
However Amazon seller support are saying
"You can be made VAT Exempt on your fees, if as per policy you meet the following criteria:
- U.K based Seller
- Registered as a Sole Trader
- You are under the threshold of £85,000"
Are SS correct in saying that we are only exempt from being charged VAT on seller fees if we are a sole trader and under the £85k threshold?
Amazon currently allows standard size products to AWD at the moment. Anyone know when large bulky/oversize size tier would be allowed?
Can you share your sales volume for a product while on FBA vs FBM?
My competitors have more sales with same product but higher price. They got that prime logo tho
Is FBM the problem? My product is around 600-800$ so a bit expensive, customers wanna feel safe so they go with prime products?
my shipping templates are like 3-4 days i set them too.
but on the buyer front end it shows like 2 weeks delivery time which sucks.
however, when i get orders in SC, the deliver by date is not 2 weeks, they seem to be like 6 days.
So i am confused because the shipping templates seem to contradict the amazon buyer front end which contradicts the Seller Central back end.

usps has been destroying my FBM business lately causing my delivery times to explode because they have been very delayed and slow. lately, i have switched to ups, which seems to have fixed the issue, but it shows 2 weeks on the buyer side. i hope it resolves soon, as its been nearly 1 week since my delivery times exploded, idk how long it takes to reset. it tanked my sales, but somehow they are recovering slightly.
Hello! As the title says, I have a large number of listings that consistently are going down to 0 available without any being sold or orders being cancelled. Curious if anyone else has had a similar issue, I’ve seen some similar problems talked about online but can’t find a definitive diagnosis of the problem or how to go about fixing. Thanks!
anyone selling in glassware?
I am working on setting up a new product which is the reusable insect trap and a "refill." I plan on making an ASIN for both and setting up a Parent/child ASIN arrangement, with the trap being the parent and the refill being the child. Is there a way to have the child ASIN appear on its own as a separate listing as well?
"I am currently an authorised reseller of a brand which I have permission from, the brand in question has provided me with a letter of authorisation and told me a few authorised licensed distributors of their for me to get their product to sell. I have also purchased 12 units of the product and have gotten an invoice from them so I can show Amazon this.
Once I had the authorisation letter, I submitted it to Amazon however they stated it was not enough and for me to submit an invoice of the purchase I have completed to show that I currently stock this item, which I did provide.
A day later I have been denied and have been for the past week or two with me replying to the case everyday to try to get approved again."
Today, I have gotten an email back from my account manager after asking for assistance, the tried to escalate the case from their side. She stated that today she gotten a response stating "I have received the response, unfortuately the brand application is not approved, after further insight as the team finds invoice and Letter of Authorization not valid."
I further asked "how are they not valid as the letter of authorisation is from the brand itself, and the invoice is from a (BRAND) approved distributor." with a response stating "the decision is taken by convred tea basis internal checks and polices, this is the only explaination I have recieved after raising it further."
Does anyone have any idea, on how to solve. Thanks.
It appears that my PPC ads are showing when I'm not in the Buy Box, but I am in the Try Before You Buy "BuyBox". Curious if anyone has experienced the same and can confirm this to be the case?
I don't want my ads to show/cost me money when I'm not in the actual buy box because very few people actually buy from the TBYB offer. Perhaps I should just remove all my SKU's from TBYB to prevent this?
