Saw so many ads for different Trunk or Treat’s and im so disappointed. What happened to walking with friends in the neighborhood. I barely had any people come by and it bummed me out.
We spent a good chunk of money on the pumpkins to put in the front yard, there's candy and I put on some music to attract anyone. But there's no one out. At all. We were also gonna give away all the uncarved pumpkins to any kids who wanted a free pumpkin so they wouldn't go to waste. I'm kinda saddened and disappointed. And in the AC neighborhood too. I dont think we'll do this again after this year.
Hello, does anyone have any good leads on buying unpasteurized milk? It is commonly referred to as "raw milk."
I happened to find myself in town today, and I’m wanting to take my two year old to Halloween festivities. Where’s the best trick or treating/trunk or treating/ activities in town this afternoon?
I'm just curious if anyone has experienced pushy prop A, right to life people when early voting? If so, how did you respond? I have had a couple of people tell me about negative experiences at Randall county polling places. With one woman meeting my friend at the car and following him all the way in to the annex telling him to vote yes and why. When he told her she was to close to the voting, she said I'm within the distance I'm allowed. I did not see this when I voted in Potter county.
Edit: Hopefully they've calmed down since last week. It seems like their focus is mostly on Randal county.

I’ve been looking for a 1bd/1ba for about a week now. I want something in a better area, maybe a loft style. I looked at Double R Lofts in downtown and it says they’re income based but the site says they’re over 1k. Does that mean the prices are lower for some people? Anyway, I don’t mind spending the money if the amenities are great or the area is great! Thanks y’all!
I'm wanting to watch some VHS tapes but want to get a TV fit for my VCR.
I was thinking the colonies, but I’m not sure.
Is there any calisthenics communities in Amarillo. I know there is cross fit, but I don’t think there’s a group of people heavy into a calisthenics regiment or if there are any calisthenic work out stations. Just wondering.
Hi all! I’m staying in west Amarillo soon for a single night and want some great food for dinner after a long road trip. I have a broad pallet, and don’t want anything overly fancy as I’ll be solo and wanting to stay within a moderate budget. Where should I go?
For the past few months I have been seeing a group of men waiting in the edge of the parking lot. At first I thought they might be day laborers but they are all wearing clean clothes, have fresh haircuts and clean sneakers being very presentable. Not the sort of setup you would expect someone looking for roofing, painting or whatever work for the day.
I don't want to assume they are gigolos' and hope it is something more innocent like some sort of nice restaurant day workers but I have never heard of such a thing. If anyone knows or wants to guess to share a laugh, feel free to post.
I did some further research on the "Leadership Team" of this outfit, 828 Sports Ventures, that is getting $100K checks from Borger. Promising a $400 million project is a BIG DEAL, and BIG DEALS require BIG QUESTIONS. And while we all make mistakes and aim to redeem ourselves, we are also entrusting our elected officials with tax dollars that are paid for by US; money we EARNED through wages, our business, or our own investments.
Also, there is always the possibility of mistaken identity with these folks, so I defer to the Borger EDC for confirmation or denial.
DeAngelo Simmons, the CEO, has a $1.5 million judgment against him. He lives in a rented townhome in Norcross, GA.
Dave LeMelle is a convicted felon, having pleaded guilty to selling cocaine to undercover police officers.
"According to Defendant’s brief, he was arrested after making a series of sales of rocks of crack cocaine to undercover police officers. On October 25, 2005, Defendant pled guilty to three counts of distribution of cocaine, in violation ofLa.R.S.40:967(A). As a part of the plea bargain agreement, the State agreed todismiss one count of false representation of a controlled dangerous substance inviolation of La.R.S. 40:971. The State also agreed to recommend a sentencing capof ten years on each count and that the sentence on each count be served concurrentlywith the others and concurrent withanyothersentence Defendant was serving at thetime. The trial court sentenced Defendant to three concurrent fifteen-year prisonterms with two yearsof eachsentence to be served without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. The court ordered that the sentences be servedconcurrentlywith the sentence Defendant was serving at the time and with any othersentences which might be imposed. The court gave Defendant credit for time servedfrom thedateofthearrest.Defendantmadeanoralmotiontoreconsider thesentences, and the court denied it in open court.Defendant appeals the sentences. He alleges that the plea agreement wasbreached or,alternatively, that the sentences are constitutionally excessive under thefacts of the case."

If I go to pondaseta, I tip because I think of it as a bar that happens to serve food.
I go to Yellow City Street Food and am not sure to tip because I think of it as a restaurant that happens to serve beer. Like I wouldn't tip at Torchys tacos for example. But then I'm like wait... What is actually the difference the between pondaseta, ycsf or Torchys? Theyre literally all the same business model from the customer side. So how do you know whether to tip?
Hi fine folks of Amarillo. Its me again.
So a brief overview is I am moving to Amarillo because I am buying a business. I took out a business loan and finally closed. Yay.
Issue is that I was hoping to get a pre approval on a home mortgage but was denied. The bank counted the payments I have to make on the business loan, but won't/can't count the income I will have from the business.
I did find a cheaper place and have a way to get a loan as if I was buying a place to rent. Which I will since it is 2 homes on a property. I put in an offer. But I am a bit concerned on the location.
Its on virginia street. House 831. near plains blvd and the I40.
Its considered to be San Jacinto. We have no kids. So won't be expecting any anytime soon. I see a couple of reported crimes through the crime map. I know the house is old. Will do an inspection if the house is accepted. The house has been on Airbnb. Does pretty well it seems. The aread does look like an older neighborhood and does look like a poorer neighborhood. Didn't see anything out of the ordinary but I definately won't recognize anything if I did see it.
Am I crazy in pursuing this?
My gf and I will be driving through Amarillo on Christmas Eve. Getting in the late afternoon/early evening and leaving the next morning. Would be nice to have something fun/festive to do. Any recommendations? Thank you!!
But now...this project has ballooned to a $400 million project, up from $100 million. To put this into context, that is 1.5 times the amount that the city of Amarillo was going to spend for a new civic center complex and 10,000 seat arena. Borger city officials are still being catfished. Apparently, no one up there has any common sense.

My wife and I have both agreed on a divorce but do not want to hire lawyers. Was wondering if anybody has used a mediator and can recommend one in town. How did it go? Was it easy?
Last night I saw a really precise and narrow beam of light tracking a plane (almost like a laser). The light was shining from the south of town, far west. Any ideas on what that could be?
Is there a good, active, local buy nothing group? I have some stuff to declutter in my home and I’d like to give it to someone that needs it.
I’m trying to stay off Nextdoor and Facebook (but am open to a specific group if it’s legit) due to the insane amount of scammers, Boomers and political vitriol that happens there.
I am a 24 year old with a absolutely no experience playing an instrument and struggling to self teach. I work throughout the week and will only be avaliable Saturday or Sundays. I would also like to set it up to be biweekly because I live in Fritch a small town near by.
Hello!!
I'm looking for recommendations on a hairstylist who is good with women's short hair!
Hi folks in Amarillo! I am moving cross country at the end of November and plan on spending the night of Thanksgiving in Amarillo.
I've never been to your city before, are there any restaurants or diners you'd recommend for a road trip Thanksgiving? It doesn't have to be a place that explicitly serves a Thanksgiving menu, just somewhere that'll be open and have a nice atmosphere.
We have Optimum. Issues ALOT. Price is ridiculous. Fixing to drop cable. But, internet is constantly having issue's. We are thinking of switching to Vexus. But, have heard negative about them. We have highest speed for Optimum.
Hey guys my apologies if my question sounds a bit confusing I am honestly new to reddit and this is my first post ever.
Anyways, Next year starting January 2025 I am moving to Amarillo Texas with my family because we are tired of Hurricanes. We are from Tampa Florida and recently our home was destroyed by Hurricane Milton. I was also told that the weather over here its very hot in the summer but its nothing compared to the humidity in Florida.
For any residents who live in Amarillo, what are yall's thoughts about this place ? Is Amarillo Texas a good place to move if we wanna avoid Hurricanes ?
I would appreciate it if someone could give me a genuine answer.
