Ash and the Endings is a five-piece alternative rock band from Austin, Texas. The group explores stylings of psychedelic rock with dynamic twists and turns.
This alternative psych-rock song is written and composed by Ash and the Endings guitarist & vocalist Conor Kelch. He says, "Lyrically, the song is about just how many people out there I suspect fall into the camp of not being attractive enough for online dating despite being very kind people, and how those apps have created a reality where only the objectively attractive have any hope. It's also a comment on the music industry often prioritizing outward appearance over musical ability. Musically, I was trying to write something that sounded a little grungy and rough while still sounding beautiful. The major 7 chords and 9s are subconsciously digging for beauty while the guitar tones are trying to demonstrate something more scratchy."
It's more slowcore based but if you like it lmk <3
check it out! It's on all streaming too and dude had a bandcamp
This song/video has been haunting me for years now. I saw it on TV a lot back in the early 2000s. It had a guy in a fake boat with fake waves on a stage. I can't think of the band or the title, but it's been eating at me for years now. Help help help!
