How long does it take to get a response after application for Nursing ? I applied for BSCN September 2025

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has taken this program at algonquin before. I know the spring 2025 season is waitlisted but i was wondering if anyone’s taken this program and got an interview at Perley health.

I also wonder how is it different from the ottawa campus version? would you not be able to have your placement at Perley Health if you took the ottawa program? i’m a bit confused on what would be the placement options for the ottawa campus version.

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice and opinions on my current situation. I’m currently looking to apply for the Medical Radiation Technology (MRT) program at Algonquin College. I was at uottawa for two years but i want to switch now. To apply, I need to take the HPAT exam and complete three required courses (Physics, Biology, and Chemistry) through the ILC online school. I didnt take those in grade 11 or 12 so i’d be starting from the basics (grade 11).

Here’s where I’m struggling: • The HPAT exam has a February 13, 2025 deadline to be considered for the Fall 2025 intake. • I’ve read mixed things about how long it takes to complete the ILC courses. Some people say they’ve finished the courses in as little as a few weeks, while others have taken up to two months or more. • My plan is to start the ILC courses asap, then evaluate my progress and how I’m feeling about being ready to take the HPAT exam by February. • The concern I have is if I wait until January to register for the exam, will there still be spots available to take it by the February 13 deadline? The Algonquin website says that if you take the exam after the deadline, it’s first-come, first-served, but I’m worried if I wait until January, I might miss my chance.

If I don’t feel ready by February, I could always opt to take the exam in May 2025, but that means I’d be applying for the Winter 2026 intake instead,

Hey I had recently applied to the paramedics program and the practical nursing program at Algonquin and I was just wondering what are my chances of being accepted. So I’m a recent Uottawa grad, from health sci with a 3.25 cgpa but my highschool marks (if I remembered) are a bit under the requirements for the 2024 eligibility like my math and chemistry portion are lower than the 70% requirement (for paramedics). Am I totally cooked or is there still a chance for me?

I recently completed my Business Administration - Human Resources diploma and will be enrolled in the Human Resources Management graduate certificate program this January. I’ve noticed that several of the course names overlap but the course codes are different. For instance I took labour relations for my diploma and will be taking labour relations again for the certificate. MGT2380 and HRM4122 are the codes. Does anyone know if this is the same course or will HRM4211 have a different curriculum? I appreciate any help!

So im new in Canada over all, been here for only 7 months, and i see that everyone in the college gave thier friend group. I thought there will be many activities and chances to make friends and such, but ever since college started i barely made some friends in my program. Has anyone ever gone from prehealth at algonquin to a program at carleton? Ik theres agreements with uottawa but not carleton, i was still curious
