Hi,
I am thinking to buy a property in Midtown community, i have heard, the negative point is; it is close to train tracks. What is the downside if my house is in close proximity to train tracks. The house i like is from Wave homes, although its brand new but i have read mixed comments about the builder, so anyone having good or bad experience with Midtown and Wave homes, please share your experience, it will be really helpful for me.
I've heard there's a new bar that's opened up in Airdrie recently. Anyone know about this or what it's called?
I have a front tooth cavity that goes right through the tooth. I desperately need it filled as it's causing severe discomfort and pain. It's a front tooth so I can't just have it pulled for multiple reasons. I have no insurance and am broke. What can I do? I can't handle this feeling much longer....

Hi I’m a 25 male looking for a gym in airdrie. New to the gym so one that could make a workout plan or even a person trainer is better
Where I was born and raised it's free free for the dump for residents. This is to encourage people to bring it to the dump and not create piles in the woods. All the money this prov generates and they want 25.00 a load 18.00 a box spring etc, like the fuck.
for 3 years ive been putting in resumes, over like 60 at this point. ive gotten a total of 3 calls back. 2 interviews. 0 follow ups. I've gone everywhere. McDonalds, BP, A&W, Walmart, Superstore, Canadian Tire, Mr. Mikes, even around Cross Iron Mills. (that list is truncated). I am DESPERATE. I want to work so bad. I LOVE doing shit for people, helping out, being productive. Not to mention I NEED work experience credits to graduate this year. THIS YEAR. I need hundreds of hours of work by JUNE to graduate. Does anyone have any like, anything? Some kind of advice to give me? It's beginning to feel hopeless. I wanted to get a job at like 14-15, start saving up for an apartment or whatever. I HATE mooching off my parents even when I still "legally can". Now I'm 17, 18 in January, still jobless, annoyed, and pathetic. It's not like my parents are mad at me, they still support my search and aren't rushing me. But I'm mad at me. For being worthless enough to be turned down by fucking McDonalds. I can't do anything, I guess. You'd think for a growing city they'd need employees, but y'know. not me.
I took my son out to the NW area of Airdrie. He was dressed in an inflatable dinosaur. We met up with a group of 5 more dinosaurs. They were very ready to have my son join their very excited band of dinosaurs. It didn’t matter that we didn’t know these kids. They were excited to have another dinosaur friend. Thanks for making our night unforgettable. You guys were awesome!!
Moved to Airdrie a few months ago from Calgary. Never had any trick or treaters where I lived in the city (was super close to a main road and older neighbours).
I was expecting lots of kids tonight and I bought so much candy to give out and… I’ve had a grand total of 3 trick or treaters. I’m so sad! I love Halloween and I know there’s a ton of kids where I live, so… what the heck?! 🥲

Looking to see if any organizations such as pet stores or perhaps shelters/SPCA etc have an opportunity for pet visits? My wife loves cuddling animals (who doesn't, really?) and is willing to help out a bit to be able to have some quality time with the little fuzzballs. Our lives are not conducive to owning a pet, so thought I'd check into this for her. Maybe a shelter needs someone to take a dog for a walk, or a pet store needs someone to do some one on one playtime with a cat? Something like that?
Been in Airdrie since 2007 and been to a couple different chiropractors off and on over the years. I don't have coverage for one any more so I'd like to make sure it's a good one when I go.
Seems like the ones I've been to just go through the motions and it's the same thing every time. Also been to a couple that do some testing at first and show you your current condition and then it never comes up again.
Thanks in advance.
Hey, new to reddit so forgive me if I screwed something up. (TL;DR at the bottom of post)
I'm hoping someone in the Airdrie community can help me reunite with someone who's seemingly vanished from Social media; discord, snap, facebook, you name it. People have checked and yeah, he's just vanished. I'm really worried, especially since the circumstances in which we met were very critical, but we became friends anyway. They are a really good and motivated person, and I want to rekindle what has been lost. Please PM me if you wish to help, i have some details i can share if this person sounds familar, but I obviously won't doxx them aside from using a first name.
Details: Jaydon, Blonde hair, big glasses, likes military stuff.
TL;DR: Friend has vanished, need help finding him. Please help...
I had an upsetting, and quite unsettling experience at the Airdrie Superstore this morning. There was a man who targeted me in the parking lot, slammed on his brakes, drove in reverse to where I was parked, and then got out of his truck, and started talking shit. He claimed to know me, and he was saying nonsense, but saying some weird stuff as well. He went to the back of his truck and grabbed a piece of fabric, I am not sure what his intent was with that fabric. Could’ve been nothing, could’ve been something.
I am so grateful to the woman and man who knew something wasn’t quite right when I was being harassed by this stranger who was acting very strange, and it was very scary to me. The bystanders luckily didn’t think it was just a casual conversation between two people in the parking lot. They stuck around until this guy got back in his truck and left. There was also a man with his young daughter who saw what happened, and he made sure I was okay too. Thank you. The harasser was clearly calling me a fucking bitch when he was taking off. I feel like if no one was around, it would’ve been a really bad situation.
I am using a kind of throwaway account for this post. I don’t want to risk using my everyday account in case the bad man is on Reddit, and sees this post.
Thank you again kind strangers!
Do you think Airdrie has enough people interested in the fish keeping hobby that they would like to see a local fish opened?
Or even if you're new to the idea of maybe getting a fish tank and having more then just petland and PetSmart to go to for any fishy inquiries.
If you think that it would be Something you would like to see. What would you like to see them sell? Would you want easy to keep fish? A variety of different fishes sorted by difficulty? Maybe a wider variety of Bettas?
Let me know what you think.
Hey everyone, I've been learning and playing alot of tcg's recently but haven't found a place in airdrie to play in person. Does anyone else play these or know a place where game nights are held in airdrie?
Hello lovely people, we’re on the verge of closing a pre-construction deal with Sterling Homes in Phase 1 of the upcoming Key Ranch community in SW Airdrie. Anyone have any thoughts or general feedback/opinions? My wife (34) and I (35) both work downtown. No kids yet. We’re currently in Ravenswood, and the commute isn’t terrible if we beat the rush hour traffic or take the ICE bus from the South Transit Terminal. Any feedback would be truly appreciated. Thank you. ✌🏽
Edit: pre-construction property would be approx 2600 sq ft, custom floorplan, walkout basement - backing onto a pond+green space, with a bunch of upgrades (including a main floor full bed/bath + 4 bedrooms and a bonus room on the upper floor - all inclusive negotiated price $890k).
Looking for any experiences you have had good / bad / or indifferent with building a new home with McKee homes. They are clean on the BBB website. Just doing some preliminary due diligence as we are looking for a new home build in the near future.
What are some of the best communities in airdrie to hit up during halloween? Also, will there be a boo in the park again?
Moved to Airdrie from Calgary a couple weeks ago and have loved it. The people are nicer. Would love to explore what Airdrie has to offer in terms of local food places to get to know the community better.
Thanks! :)
I’m looking to get my wife a message for her birthday and I want to get it right. Something modern and comfortable and super relaxing. The most important thing is she likes deep messages. She’s a migraine sufferer with some other health problems so I know she’ll appreciate the relief of a quality deep message but with a peaceful vibe and break from the grind. Thanks in advance, friends!
Hi all! I’m 17 and looking for ways to meet new people and make some friends. Does anyone know of any groups or activities I could attend to meet people? (Non religious and lgbtq+ friendly)
Are there bylaws that prevent car washing in the driveway? There are eco friendly car wash soap in Canadian tire that I would plan to use.
Hello Airdrie,
We’ve recently moved into a house in the Baysprings community of Airdrie and are absolutely loving it. The neighbors have been incredibly welcoming, taking the time to meet and greet us, which has made us feel right at home—something we didn’t experience in Lanark, Airdrie.
We’re a family of four, and both my spouse and I work from home. Now the main reaaon for the post is, we’re hoping to get some recommendations for contractors who have experience with network wiring installation for both in-house use and security cameras (just the wiring). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Please take a moment to cast your vote for Volunteer Airdrie 's Youth Volunteer Corps Community Garden Project.
We have applied for the Field Law Community Fund which selects recipients based on votes received before November 20th.
The funding will be used to expand our community garden at the local Airdrie Ag Society. We want to repurpose unused space near the gardening sheds to create a sustainable, local solution to contribute to the increasing demand for fresh, nutritious sources of food for individuals and families in need who live in Airdrie.
