A three day seminar starts on Friday the 31st at 6:00. Two additional sessions on Saturday and one final session on Sunday wrap up this long weekend of skills and drills.
Michael Levy-Newman Sensei comes to visit Israel again and conducts a 6-class seminar at the Wingate Netanya Institute. Michael Sensei has been practicing Aikido for over 20 years, teaching Aikido in the city of Lyon, France.
He is the owner and principal of one of Europe's largest (dojo) schools. Dozens of workshops in Israel, and for almost 20 years, Michael Sensei is coming to Israel to guide aikido workshops in order to support the development of aikido in Israel with a vision and belief in the positive contribution of learning aikido to society in Israel and trainers as individuals who seek personal growth and development through learning and practicing aikido. Michael was a student of ISTA Founder Alan Peirash who was a Tamora's student for almost 30 years.
Michael Sensei teaches effective aikido based on simple and practical principles. Michael's style is characterized by elegance and sophistication, lightness and softness combined with great power, presence and dominance. Besides the technical side of martial arts, Michael teaches the deep philosophy of Aikido and the martial arts of the East and the rules of etiquette used in the martial arts world. The seminar is recommended for those who want to deepen their understanding and skill in marvelous martial arts such as the Aikido, and even more so for those who want to know themselves in depth and become acquainted with inner qualities and strengths they did not know before.

So we're getting down to the final plans and schedule for the fall intensive. We will have four teachers an teaching on a general theme of connection, stability and power. We will explore the roots of yoga from one of India's oldest traditions. How those traditions informed both Chinese and Japanese cultivation and martial arts. We will also be demonstrating power in the forms from traditional chi gongs, breath training, tendon changing to dantian development and use. I will also be demonstrating power in independent movement both standing and on the ground and why so many traditional martial arts that try to make a "connection" with an opponent....fail to deliver in an educated, MMA type environment ( no we will not be fighting, we will be training movement and power. We will be introducing "Yoga Origins" Yoga for Warriors".... our systematic approach for:
