I've been reading up on various factors that influence our lifespan, and I recently came across an intriguing article that outlines some of the most common unhealthy habits many of us engage in daily. The piece discusses habits like poor diet, lack of exercise, and chronic stress, highlighting how these can significantly impact our health and longevity.
This got me thinking: while we often hear about the importance of exercise and diet, are there other, less obvious habits that we might be overlooking? For example, could something as seemingly harmless as constant multitasking or inconsistent sleep patterns also be silently shaving years off our lives? I'm curious to hear from the community—what do you think are the most underestimated or overlooked unhealthy habits that could be impacting our longevity? Are there any habits you've personally changed to improve your health?
Research! I’m a mathematician by training and a long-term body hacker who enjoys studying new topics and then testing them on myself. From a year of veganism to an intensive two-month muscle-building stint, which gained 9 kg (20 lbs.) of muscle, I like reading and applying the latest studies. Google Scholar is my most frequented bookmark.
This year, I’m reviewing the latest research on health and longevity. I’ve found many valuable and surprising things. Tell me what is your favorite hack to longevity!
Hi! I'm Gabrielle Paulson, and I'm a user experience researcher doing a generative research project to improve longevity research tools, like BioLearn.
I'm looking for longevity researchers and others in the longevity space to participate in a short qualitative survey. Would you be opposed to sharing this with your community?

Thanks for your help! It will go toward improving and building more open-source tools.
Yesterday I bumped into this woman who I last saw in the summer of 1997. She is now wrinkly with grey hair but when I spoke to her back in 97 she had blonde hair and no wrinkles at all.
My question is how could someone look that much older given that 1997 was not all that long ago?

I also feel like 10 years ago I could put on muscle very easy even without watching my calories/protein intake where as now I definitely can tell the difference when I’m consuming high amount of calories/protein. I guess it’s the first time I noticed my body aging.
I am looking to get into ageing biology, and I feel like I’m aimlessly picking papers to read - is there any book or paper, or list of reading material, that would give a comprehensive introduction to ageing/ageing literature.
Hi, I have been reading recently about Calico and I have seen that they don’t sell any product yet. My question is if they are ever going to develop something against aging
I have been recently reading Aubrey de Grey, Calico and reading about anti-aging. First I believed that it was impossible to fight against the aging process but after reading I have been more convinced that it will be possible in the future. Those who don’t know about the topic read about anti-aging. I am 23 now, so I have now more or less 60 years of life. My question is if I will see in my lifetime the end of aging.
