Hey everyone im a sophomore transferring to Texas A&M in the Spring of 2025 and am looking to see if anyone else is going to be attending so we can get in contact. Trying to meet ppl!
Is anyone going to be in College Station over winter break and interested in playing racquetball or squash at the Rec?
Does anyone who has taken Dr.Schaefers O chem 227 class have any tips about how to study for her finals? Im scared lol
A&M has such a big mindset problem with QBs and it pisses me off. We've given away Kyler Murray, Haynes King, and now Connor Weigman because we don't let dudes fucking develop and expect greatness from them the moment they step on the field.
The one dude we didn't do that with was Kellen fucking Mond and whaddya know his last year he led us to a 9-1 finish.
At some point we have to learn that QBs need time to develop and that guys like Caleb Williams and Trevor Lawrence who are gods when they stepped on the field as freshmen are one in a hundred odds.
When you select your schedule for the semester, are your parents with you as the advisor assists in choosing your future schedule?
Some people say it starts on the 13th, while others say it starts on the 24th. When does the university's winter break usually start?
Since classes are over, do professors still hold in-person office hours this week?
Howdy everyone I'm looking to get my electives done and want to find some easy A and preferably online ones. Any recommendations? Any professors i should stay away from?
Does anyone know how this exam is formatted like multiple choice, free response or how the answers are? I already know the exam will kill me I at least want to know how (I have brooks for prof)
Hi, curious to get everyone’s views on A&M Mays as an MBA considering the following:
Plans to live in the South (Texas, but would be supporting clients across South and Southeast), but originally from the Northeast.
Hoping to try for some scholarship money (strong applicant profile given the ranking).
Want to spend a good chunk of time in graduate program to “soft launch” my small/medium sized business that I’m very passionate about founding and scaling in financial services/fintech. Would be focusing on as close to an “entrepreneurship” styled focus as possible. Network is huge, so the Aggie brand in my mind is extremely valuable.
~30m, looking also for a social experience to meet new friends and explore relationships.
If anyone could share some wisdom and insights, it’d be much appreciated!
I’m looking for a car wash in BCS area that has a air compressor so I can blow out my engine bay. Are their any?
Hello,
I’m originally from Texas but moved to Florida in August of 2024. My job is sending me to grad school full time. I am looking to apply for the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Any idea how much for a semester? Just tuition and graduate fees (no books, housing, food, etc.)
Also is it possible to complete the program in a year? ex. Fall 2025, Spring 2026, Summer 2026. I know the requirement for non-thesis is 30 credit hours.
for anyone that’s taken this class how bad was the final?? did he curve? lowkey stressing sm
ok let’s say im visting on a sunday afternoon and staying the night with a friend what are good things to do??
As the title clearly states - more and more I have been considering transferring out of A&M and completing my bachelor’s elsewhere. And frankly, I am truly wondering if anyone has any recommendations for fully online undergraduate institutions.
I have just completed 5th Semester and am about to start my 6th semester - but I by hours and still a sophomore as I’ve never been able to exceed 12 hours due to my situation, and, obviously, academics are obviously becoming more difficult.
However, the most difficult part of my situation is the fact that I am working 50-60 hour weeks during my semester because I am an emancipated 20 year old who has been financially on their own for almost 5 years. And, quite frankly, if I don’t work - I won’t be able to attend any further education institution.
Working full time I have reached issues in not being able to take enough credits to actually progress correctly (12 hour minimum always). And even this workload is difficult due to my minimal time availability.
Needing to work while wanting to peruse my academics, I have learned that A&M is not currently the school that best fits this life style.
I would love to complete an online masters through Mays after I get my bachelors, but I am going to need a good gpa to do this. Currently? Mine is going to shit slowly as the courses get harder.
Therefore, I am here. I am wondering if any of you have any recommendations as to good fully online Texas further education institutions. I love A&M, I really do, but I am not able to pull this type of life off. I am constantly exhausted taking classes in the morning and working the rest of my day away. Living off minimal sleep and never having a wink of time for myself, And as close as I am to my Aggie ring, I understand that by returning later for my masters online at Mays, that’s as good as a time as any to get my Aggie ring.
Thank yall and gig em.
Howdy!
I am currently a student at UTSA and I really really really want to trnafer to A&M this coming fall. There is so much I love about this school, and because of this I've come to realize UTSA is not at all for me. I do have a problem though, which is transferring into a specific major. I am currently a Biology major, but because I'm a freshman and would be going in as a sophmore next year, I don't have all of the pre-requsites to transfer into Biology. The courses I need are Gen chem 1 and 2 and Calc 1 and Calc 2 (or stats). I was thinking of taking General Chemistry over a winter minimester course, and then taking gen chem 2 in the spring, as well as calc 1 and stats. My issue is that If I should even do this because Gen Chem is such a fundamental course. I want to go into Dental Hygiene, and I heard dental schools look down upon taking a vig course like gen chem, at a community college. It might also be stressful over the winter break to take such a heavy course. Also, my biology major here has diffenrent reguirements than TAMU and if I take two math courses next semeter it hinders my progress if I don't get accepted to transfer. Does anyone have any reccommendations on what I should do to get in next fall?
Thank you!
I've recently become acquainted to the tragic fact that there is no dim sum in BCS.
I am willing to drive up to 90 minutes away. Do you guys have any suggestions?
Alternatively, would happen to know anyone of Chinese culinary background that I could financially petition to prepare me some sumptuous har gow?
- 3am hungry poster... out
I really need some info. I’m getting ghosted on emails and can’t find a good estimate about costs here. Would really appreciate your help.
I live off campus, would it be weird to live in Hullabaloo as a sophomore? Anyone in hullabaloo know if there’s a good amount of sophomores there? Or do most go to apartments n shi
Howdy Ags,
Any current or former students from the Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering degree?
Looks interesting and was wondering what people’s thoughts on it are, especially if someone went into it from a different engineering undergrad.
T & G’s
A group of my asshole former friends are travelling without me to Europe this winter break, even though my knowledge and experience in the area they're going through, and my travel experience would be of amazing benefit. I'm exceptionally hurt by it, like a whole whole lot.
I've traveled a lot in my time at A&M. I am on a scholarship so my tuition and housing are covered, which means work money can all go traveling (savings are for lame-os, money comes back memories don't #yolo).
I almost always go alone. It has been fun, but...
I want to make lifelong memories with a group of beautiful fascinating intellectual people, traveling this incredible planet together. I think college is my one chance to do that, and the opportunity to do it is rapidly passing me by.
Does anyone vibe with this
Seriously asking.
