Is it still not possible for characters to switch servers?
Any tips on a good Conqueror build would be appreciated. I'm currently level 45. I'd like to focus on two handed edged weapons (looks more Conanesque, LOL) but I've noticed that I seem to do more damage and am better protected when dual wielding.
I died to a glitch as an unconquered character, can I have it undone somehow or am I out of luck?
I keep getting teleport coins but they don't show up anywhere. Something online said they appear in the Premium Teleport window but I can't find that, either. The only teleport ability I find anywhere seems to be the Wayfarer of Asura bond to one location. So what are teleport coins, where can I find them and how do I use them?
aoc.is-better-than.tv/armory.php seems to be down.
Site is showing an SQL Error.
Are the glory days truly over? Or did someone just forget to do an update? Anyone know?
Sorry if this is a bit of a noob question but are the points I spend in my feat tree expertise points or are they spent somewhere else?
Okay, I'm in Old Tarantia and I just passed someone who is level 23 and mounted on a horse. He was there and gone too quickly for me to message and ask. I thought you had to reach level 40 before you could get a mount? How is he mounted at level 23?
Okay, I've a level 32 Conqueror who can mow down level 27-30 Vanir all day. But up against a single level 27 Ymrish I seem to do zero damage while they cut me down. I pound them but their damage bars don't move. Is there something special needed to defeat Ymrish?
I'm currently level 31. I seem to recall reading that you can't get a mount until level 40, however I have the spell for summoning a horse. When I try to summon it I get an error that says I must have basic riding skill, first. I can't find anywhere where I can obtain basic riding skill, please advise. Thanks.
I'm re-installing the game to play. Seems to be stuck at Updating Content 4/4....
says its a 3.26 GB download, buts its been going forever. Up to 30 gb
Good morning, are the severs working for new users? I'm trying to create a new user and it won't let me.
Hi, I've played AoC at launch for some time and got a character to level 75.
Now I'd like to relive that experience again.
What's the fastest/easiest way to get some appropriate gear so I can get back to questing and doing solo dungeons?
Hey guys! I’ve been playing this game on and off since maybe 2016, and I was wondering where do you guys prefer to level/ quest after leaving Tortage? I usually pick a Khitan character and level in Gateway to Khitai, I feel like the leveling there is smooth and there are no optional dungeons to miss out on due to inactivity on the server. I’d love other opinions and pros/cons about the areas! I’ve leveled in Cimmeria before and once in Aquilonia and Stygia each.
Hey all. I'm trying to get to higher waves of Skull Gate Pass but our group got absolutely demolished by the boss of wave 10, Louhi. I feel like we could have prevented wiping if we just had a basic understanding of her abilities. If there is anyone here who can give a quick rundown of SG bosses and mini-bosses abilities I'd really appreciate it because there is almost nothing available online.
Logging out and back in restores the wood but a few minutes later, it vanishes again.
Hi everyone, the purple stuff you get from the Khitai hm dungeons aswell as the purple stuff from the factions what Tier would that be ?
Hey! Just started playing again after trying out the first 20 levels back in 2010, was just wondering if there are any active european guilds?
Im currently level 27 i think, playing as conq, dont know if im doing anything the right way but im having a blast.
Would love to find a active guild, to maybe run dungeons and get help with builds and so on. Located in sweden and able to play almost every weekend!
Next paragraph is a little intro. Not necessary to read.
I'm not new to the game but I'm certainly a beginner as I haven't been able to get into the game past level 10, until now because I'm actively trying. So I'm doing the destiny quest (I'm aware you can skip it but I don't want to miss out on something I've not experienced) and I can't seem to kill the enemies who are 2 levels below me or at my level. I tried to finish a few side quests to boost my level, however... Same issue. So, I went to get new my gear from the armour and swordsmiths, farmed the level 6 pirates in the starter town, and managed to do some pretty easily. There are still some left which is impossible for me so I stopped and continued the main quest. I'm now at the volcano at level 14 trying to replace the virgin blood, and nope, cant get passed it.
So, here's the issue. I bought some healing items. They only provide 30 health at the most from what I found in the store. And that's not providing anywhere near enough to make any sort of difference to my 1186 health. And any gear I can buy at this level is a minimal difference too. In fact it does little to no help at all. Still bought it though. How do I get past this point without skipping? My damage is fine. My armour is the best I can have at this current moment. And healing items are useless, at least the items I have are. So ale and other foods which are far better.
Thank you for reading. Sorry for the long winded question.
Update: I made a guild on the crom server called Hyborian Wayfarers. I am accepting all new and returning players looking to enjoy the below 80 content, leveling/groups,etc if you're trying to get the purist achievement you're also welcome to join just keep in mind you're dealing with noobs. /Tell Solvarus in game for an invite if I'm online, or post below so we can schedule a time to get you invited!
Howdy y'all, I played AoC briefly over ten years ago and loved it but never had the time to really get anywhere with it. I returned a few weeks ago and while I still adore this game I'm feeling a little lonely going through the journey solo.
My goal is to find other noobs with a similar mindset to me so we can enjoy this adventure together. What mindset is that? Well I'm about the journey, I like to read quests and learn the game naturally by going through the leveling process. I'm very laid back and appreciate that quality in others. I don't know anything about end game and am in no rush to get there. I'm also dealing with adult responsibilities and can't play every day.
Ideally we can get a regular group of at least six so we can stumble through all the dungeons on offer through the leveling experience and have the satisfaction of overcoming those challenges instead of relying on bored vets ploughing through them for us.
I currently have a level 36 guardian but was thinking we could all roll fresh characters and go through everything together.
So, if you like the idea of playing with others, enjoy the journey, and want to learn the game naturally as you play, then please post here with your time zone and what classes you're interested in playing. Don't let fear of being bad stop you, if you want to play a healer but worry you'll let the team down just remember we're all in the same boat. The goal is to create a supportive group of noobs to learn this game together. If this takes off and I get enough interest we'll figure out scheduling that can accommodate everyone
I'm in the Eastern standard time zone and interested in playing any of the soldier archetypes.
Can anyone get the game client to download anywhere. I have tried to download it on 3 different machines with no success
I used to no-life this game back at launch for a solid two years. Still even have the boxes the gametime sub cards came in.
The other day I watched Josh Strife Hayes playing it, and remembered what fun I had playing, so I decided to revisit it. I know the game used to be on Steam, since I'd always get it in my recommended.
Went to download it, and I just couldn't find it.
It was still listed as being on Steam in a Google search, but not so when I looked it up through the app. I ended up downloading it through Funcom's site but it felt kinda bad since I only play games I can find on Steam these days.
So, because I couldn't find any info about the game being pulled from Steam, can someone tell me what's up with this, and if there is a way to get the game through the Steam store page?
EDIT: Apparently the game isn't region locked nor has it been pulled at the time of writing. I tried opening the Steam Store page after changing my location with a VPN, and it opened fine. I am currently trying to install the game with Steam, which I managed by typing "steam://install/217750" in my browser.
I’ve read this game has a cool intro section but then is very low quality afterwards. But most of the review of this game I can find are very old. Is that still true?
is there more to do on the main land then the island? should I want to get on a pve server if i want to socialize? is the season pass worth it? My only problem with the game is it feels very quiet, like no merchants to talk to or other non hostile people. havent really had one yet but the slaves dont seem to talkative.
I really love the setting of Conan. It has a unique blend of familiar aesthetics in a "forgotten period of time" setting. Because of that, a lot of the armor that's shown off looks amazing. I can't get enough of it. Recently, I thought about picking up Exiles again just to see what new sets were added but realizing that this game is still around and running (for what that's worth), I considered picking it up, running through and seeing what armor is around that FunCom hasn't ported over yet...
...however, the thought of just picking up a game just to look at what armor it has by playing and grinding however many hours FOR EACH CLASS feels like too big of an investment (not that I don't want to try the game regardless, it does look fun still).
What I simply want to ask: is there a way or a database to view all of the armor available in the game? Full 3D turnarounds n' such? I know it's very unlikely as the game isn't as popular as before and doesn't seem to have outside resources (say wowhead to WoW) but I am still curious.
I just started playing this and saw a handful of people, but no one was talking. I'm wondering if there are any active Guilds out there. Possibly any RP Guilds? I'd love to strike up some RP in the Realm of Conan.
