The African Union (AU) is a continental body consisting of the 55 member states that make up the countries of the African Continent. It was officially launched in 2002 as a successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU, 1963-1999).
The AU is guided by its vision of “An Integrated, Prosperous and Peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens and representing a dynamic force in the global arena.” https://au.int/en

Hi everyone!
I know this is a long shot, but I'm trying anyway.
I'm planning on writing my master's thesis on interpreting in the AU, but I'm really struggling with finding any information on it online. Does anyone know anyone (that knows anyone) that works for the translation/interpreting department in the AU who would be able to answer a few questions on the experience?
Thanks so much in advance!
As a person born in South Africa but living abroad, I feel and see with my own research that Africa is being exploited continuously as it has been for more than 2 centuries, when will African leaders take control and ensure their own country thrives? Africa could be the most powerful continent but corruption and foreign influence keeps it subdued...wish it were different. Are there plans from the African union to actually unite and call their own shots?
Hello!
Is anyone able to assist me with an application for the Youth Volunteer Corps? Everytime I try to sign up it requires an access code even though I already have a profile on the careers site. The access code is the first thing they ask for even though I have not entered an email adress for a code to be sent to? If anyone is able to assist I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!
Hi there, recently graduated from College [UK vers, not American] and I'm not too keen on going to university. I have the grades for it so it's not a matter of that, I'd just rather gain some real-world experience...Thus, was wondering if it's ABSOLUTELY necessary to have a degree to intern [within any necessary organ] in the African Union,
Thx
What do you guys think, how has the Coup in Niger and the reaction to it by the AU influenced the legitimacy and credibility of the African Union?
I want to write a paper on the African Union and the difference between some members in rhetoric. I am comparing Libya and South Africa. I have a hard time finding libyan speeches in the post Gaddafi era. I may be stupid, but I can't find any speeches of lybian representatives in the AU, all I get are speeches of other AU reps about Libya. Do you have any advise?
