At first glance I thought it was a mermaid.

Shouldn’t have done a background

I found this one half finished in a book and decided to finish it last night. I liked it a lot better before trying to do a background. I always struggle doing a good background. But sometimes there’s just sooo much white space and then I screw it up.

Xmas present recommendations?

My girlfriend has been on a huge coloring kick the last few months and I was hoping to get her something to add to that experience that isn’t just me going on Amazon and searching for coloring books and saying “here you go”. Are there any tools, special markers/pencils/etc., or anything else in the hobby that you’d recommend me looking into?

As soon as I saw this spread in God Jul, I knew I needed to colour it! I used Prismacolor and Chromaflow pencils for all the foreground, white and gold Poscas for the snow and stars, and an almost-dry brush technique with Caran D’Ache Museum pencils for the aurora sky 🌌

Sometimes I color

Nurgle-esque, toxic, outfit made of skin. Kinda lazy and rushed through.

Something different

I got into a coloring rut using the same medium for an entire year and I’ve been working in the same book since summer. I thought maybe a new book and a different set of pencils would pull me out of it. Wasn’t sure as I haven’t touched prisma’s since last year when I received my FC polychromo’s. They are so different from each and completely different techniques for the same effect. I wasn’t told nervous starting this page knowing I wanted this guy to glow and I haven’t attempted that with the polychromo’s yet. I didn’t even realize how much I missed my prisma’s!
