I pump five times a day, waking up 2 times a night currently and tens every hour at work. My nipples get wet at work now, yay! but no drops. When I come home from work and pump, they’re wetish but no drops. As soon as I take my shower and do my last pump of the day I get big white drops in both, that taper down throughout the night and disappear in the morning. What is it about the shower that makes them suddenly appear? And why do they disappear gradually after they make their appearance?
A week ago, i started my journey into getting milky breasts. So fary it was hard. My tits are sore all the time. I am way hornier than usual. BUT: i havent given up! I use the pump regularly and i even ordered some sort of TEN electric device which could help with a faster inducing as well.
What I absolutely love is the community. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I have met loads of nice people. I am so glad I got so much amazing advise and I feel so comfortable with that community.
That said: sadly i dont have any milk yet. I didnt expect it after a week, but i'd still loved it hehe.
Has anyone been successful with inducing and having an autoimmune disease like SLE ? I started taking Dom, fenugreek and mother love more milk moringa. I noticed a lot breast tenderness, “engorgement” feeling, along with stings and tingling sensations. I would pump but nothing comes out aside from a couple of drops ( I will admit I am not consistent with the pump sessions) but my husband was nursing once to twice a day. Sometimes when he would be finished my boobs would feel better and soft again but he says he didn’t taste any milk. Now I am going on day 4 of a break because my lupus is really flaring up and the joint and muscle pain are unbearable. I’m so worried that I’m going to lose the little progress I’ve made. Any thoughts, recommendations?
Has anyone had any luck with manual pumps? I got the lansinoh manual pump and I’m not a big fan of it. I was debating between Philips and the Medela. But also curious if y’all have even had success with manual pumps? I have milk in but it’s not a massive amount yet. I’ve heard that manuals are good to build supply from relactating mothers though so I was wondering if it was the same for us.
I have been using my medela cups with my spectra SG for the last 3 weeks. I am making a bit of milk - 0.5 mL in the morning. I find most of the milk pools beneath the nipple and stays on the flange instead of down the chute.
Is this a breast shape issue? A flange size issue?
I do prefer collection cups over the standard bottles.
Hey everyone. Super new to all of this. Back in 2016 I had a total hysterectomy. Everything is gone. I’ve been on HRT since then for progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone. Everything is very balanced. I am also on an antipsychotic for mental health. I know that antipsychotics can cause an increase in prolactin. Right now I get drops really easily if i use a C cup method. I just got a pump yesterday. After 30 mins my right nipple poured out fluid. I think I must have unclogged a duct.
Anyone have luck after a hysterectomy? I know it’s possible with everything taking. Just want to know how everyone else has done. For now I won’t be taking dom FYI. Just want to try it naturally first.

I'm interested in this.. I'm an adult but still live with my parents and know I would have to hide it from them if I started and I'm not sure if that would be possible? is there any tips for hiding it? and also what I could do with the milk since my partner is long distance and doesn't know about it yet either. Also I'm worried about if I would have to tell my doctor? would they be able to tell and judge me for it? or could I hide it from my doctor too? or just say its personal and done on purpose and be left alone? I'm quite embarrassed about this and would rather no one but me know about it in real life (and possibly my partner)
I’ve been taking supplements for a few weeks now and have increased by supply little by little (yay!). I’ve noticed that my upper and lower back, my abdomen and my chest are more susceptible to pain as of lately. Are these to be expected with increasing supply and mammary growth? TIA!!
Hi! Well im starting my lactation journey and meanwhile I’ve no way near to lactating yet, I’ve been wondering about one thing. Since I still live with my family, I guess while I start pumping and stimulate the chest, you have to do it pretty often. Maybe when you live alone this is not a problem, so you don’t need to make excuses or even explain yourself. But I guess there’s gonna be one point I’ll need to tell them what I’m doing and what I’ll be doing in the near future. Has someone induce lactation while still living with family members? Or maybe I should wait a few years until I move out? If someone has induce herself while living with family, how did you tell them? Or maybe it’s preferable to not doing it? This is something has been going on my mind since a few days ago, bc I’m excited about inducing myself but also maybe it’s better to wait to the “right moment” (if it makes any sense). I’ll be grateful to hear your thoughts!🫶 And sorry for my typos, English is not my first language 😔
Hi ANR community.
Please go easy on me, I'm new to this and a first time poster. My wife and I have two children and throughout that process, we both came to the realization that lactation brought us together. Here's the condensed story:
This is all relatively new to us because our kids are young. We've been married for a long time and waited to have kids. We've never been the most intimate couple, and because of that... It was difficult to have kids. When we had our first, my wife was really overwhelmed with breastfeeding. I did everything I could to help. I would provide her multiple massages a day, help her with heat and try to be supportive. During that time, I noticed that we became closer because of it. After our kids were born, she breast fed both for a year and change. It took a whole, but it finally dried up.
Recently, I suggested that we make some time (15 minutes or so) in the morning to connect with each other and in the evening as well so that we start and end the day with each other intimately (even if it's not sexual). We took this time and started working on seeing if we could restart her milk supply and... We did!
It's been going really well, but we're both at the point where (with kids and the business of life) we can't have 8 suckling sessions in a day. We're lucky if we get two. She really doesn't want to pump because she's been through all that before and I can't blame her. The old "insurance funded spectra" pump isn't the most enjoyable experience.
I think we've kind of tapped out because the demand isn't there to continue to increase her production any further and it seems like pumping is the only way. So, here is my question:
Pumps have come a long way. I guess there are some descrete pumps (Elfie?) that are pretty hidden and silent. Has anyone had success with these for this purpose? Unlike before, it's not being used as the primary source for our children, so it doesn't need to be like the Spectra. It just needs to be easy, quiet and not burdonsome while providing regular 'demand'.
My wife has very sensitive nipples. The spectra pump is a painful experience for her. If anyone has used this discrete kind of pump, could you share your experience?
At a glance, it seems like these kind of pumps would be ideal for the ANR community, but I really haven't seen them mentioned.
Your input is greatly appreciated!

I was reading a few recent posts here in ABF where someone wanted to engage in ABF but with no other interaction. My personal experience is a fully engaged relationship with my partner involving shared lives, sex, and ANR. I can't quite conceive of a relationship where the only interaction is ABF with no ANR. Do you want just ABF? if so, why and what is desired from the relationship? I would like to ask if readers would comment. It seems kind of like wanting half of an orgasm. Do you want the first half? second half? I want the entire toes curling wall climbing brain firing at light speed experience!

My nipples are pierced and recently when pumping I’m bleeding. I have stopped for a bit but am concerned about continuing. Is this normal? The blood was coming from my piercing.
Yeah after a long journey I'm finally producing drops. Looking forward to it getting more substantial.

Just wanted to share I had a huge win today! I got my first sprays from my left boob this morning :) and they weren’t like little baby ones either! Super excited and proud of myself haha 😆
I have what I guess would be classified as flat nipples , and my skin is super fair, so the struggle with measuring is its really hard to tell where my nipple base is?? Even with one of the little measuring tools.
I have a set of various size little silicone inserts, but they are kinda frosted, not clear, so it's a little harder to see.
I feel like I'm endlessly trying to figure out a good fit. I have watched videos all over, read about fitting ... but still worry I don't have it right. Right now I have 15 on left, 17 on right, no significant pain or discomfort but the right one seems to be less happy...or just reacts differently to the pump.
It also seems to be a challenge to get positioning right, with my nipple centered .... so I am constantly trying to adjust mid pump or double triple quadruple checking, worried about causing damage by being offender. 😅😅
Has anyone else had similar struggles? Any tips on how you found your happy place?? I'm aware I might also be worrying a little toooooo much about these things, so even some reassurance would be helpful ❤️
I have the Elvie stride but feel like I need to see the positioning etc on a real person. Not a knitted breast, not a cartoon breast, a real one.
I have looked high and low for an instructional video and can't find any!
Any sources much appreciated.
My pump has a letdown mode. I’m only getting duct fluid in drops in the pump and a lot when suckling. How long should I leave let down option on for?
Hey guys I just restarted my induction journey and Im 5 days in. Before this I was pumping for 4 months when I stoped because life got in the way. This go around my nipples are super sore my right more then my left to the point I have had to turn my suction down to a 1 or 2 and its still painful there. I measured my nipples and am using flange inserts to adjust for size, and I don't have milk or duct fluid at this time . Im only taking legendary milks Liquid gold. I am doing something wrong ?

My hard work during the day is paying off!! I’m completely dry all day during and after work despite my efforts, but as soon as I start pumping at night I get bigger and bigger white drops 🥲 thank you boobs and thank you to all of the encouraging ppl on this sub 💜
Can any UK based folks confirm they've had no issues with orders from in house pharmacy recently?
Also anyone know why I need a prescription got the express shipping option? I was willing to pay the £45 for express shipping as my need is quite tike sensitive, but there's no way I'll be able to get a prescription for 600 tablets 🙈
Why is it necessary for express shipping but not the slow mail?

How much is too much power pumping? I’m at 3 times a day.. is that too much?
For the last month we’ve kinda plateau at about 1/2 oz a session. Pumping 4-5x a day 2doms 4x daily. Just keep going and it will eventually increase?? Help please
Hi all! So I’ve been producing a bit of milk for a week or two now. And during this time I’ve gone from a size 15mm to a 17mm and today after pumping I measured again because I’ve noticed how swollen and sore my nipples are once I’m done and it’s looking like I may have to go up to a 19mm. I’m curious, how frequently does this happen? Is it something I’m doing incorrectly that’s causing me to size up so often? Is there anything I can do to remain at a 17?
Thanks!
