First droplets

I, 24 (FtNB), have been trying to induce on my own since last Wednesday i think? I was trying last year on my own just manually expressing while taking fenugreek to avail for about 2 months. Took a break because of dysphoria and depression. For some reason Tuesday night I was like "fuck it let's try this again" and bought a manual pump for around $9 off of Amazon. I pump for around 10 minutes every two hours from 5 pm - 1 am. Since Thursday I started getting little stabby pains in my breasts and tonight after pumping I saw a little bit of water white fluid pooling on my nipple.

I'm so excited it's embarrassing

Newbie - advice would be greatly appreciated

Me and my husband have just started our ABF journey. We do have a child who for many reasons I unsuccessfully BF (another story) and is now 5

We’ve always been into dry latching but recently have decided maybe we want to re-induce lactation. We have a pump and an SNS for instant pay off but I’m starting to get worried about the wider impact of being lactating and how we navigate that. We live far away from family so usually have people stay for a few days / stay with them so it would be hard to keep private and I wouldn’t feel comfortable sharing.

The pump I find very pleasurable so I don’t want to not use it but wondered if I only use it once or a couple of times a day will I stay dry and then if we are somewhere we don’t feel we can pump I don’t risk blocked ducts etc.

Grateful for any advice 🥰 thank you

🤧 Sick and Pumping: Question So I Don't Screw Everything Up (no dom/dry and trying)

Sorta TLDR: I'm currently fighting a hell of a cold/flu, and it is really messing with my pumping and supplement schedule. How many days can I be a little off schedule before I ruin any progress I've made?

I don't get sick often, but when I do it kicks my ass and puts my asthma into overdrive. As of yesterday early evening I realized I just felt too much like crap to sneak and pump and I was struggling to keep up with hydration. I'm taking decongestants and a majority of my supplements act as a diuretic so the amount of fluid I'm trying to drink is getting ridiculous. I ordered dinner in for the kiddo and made a lazy breakfast for kiddo today, bordering on feeling like a crap mom lol, and I think I've had nothing but crackers and a bowl of soup in about 36 hours. And water, so much fucking water, and tea, but I still feel like a raisin.

Been on this journey since, lets say 4/1, cause thats easiest. I've stayed wildly dedicated to induction of relactation, taking my supplements religiously (minus one day I was a bit late), and pumping and using my TENS on the best schedule possible. My partner was able to find extra time for heavenly suckling sessions this week and last, and I really truly just don't want to get us off track. But I am SICK, I feel gross, but shockingly I'd love to just be in bed being suckled, not even in a sensual way. Just to relax with him and get some much needed sleep*. But today I just can't convince myself to pump. And oddly I know it would probably make me feel better.

I don't wanna fuck it all up, but can I take a break for a few days - just til I have more energy? Supplements and all? Even if I don't take a full break from pumping/TENS, can I drop to maybe once or twice a day when I have the energy/urge?

I truly love trying for this with my partner, I can't even put it in words. This effort doesn't feel like a chore, but right now I just don't want to feel guilty that I don't feel like pumping when I am sitting in a pile of kleenex and still pep talking myself just to shower and brush my teeth at nearly noon. (Sexy AF!)

*partner and I live separately, and there's no way in hell I'd want him dealing with these germs just to get some ABF in for my benefit

Bra help?

Since I have started pumping my nipples are staying up and they hurt/get smashed in my bra. Is there anything to do about this to avoid it? Other than not wearing a bra of course.

Asking doctor for dom or other medications, need reasons?

Do you need to have a reason to ask for medication to induce lactation? I’ve lactated before but it’s been a little over a year since I’ve pumped or anything. I only have a few drops from each side. I’m afraid that I’ll put in a lot of work and getting a good supply won’t happen. I don’t want to explain to my doctor the nature of why I’m trying to lactate.

Why he prefers one boob?

Hi is my first post here, I would like to read ideas of what is happening.

My hubby like to suck my breast untill i orgasm only for sucking but recently he do it less than usual and that make me crave it, the weird part is that he only like one boob to suck and I have to use a suction cup to drain the other.

Is he trying to make one bigger than the other or is just too selfish to care? Honestly I like both ideas (maybe i need to get My nipples hard and visible to get both played or more revealing clothes?)

and I can't ask it because it's a Taboo theme for him, if i mention it he stop sucking me for months and I can't stand it 😪 (He doesnt know that i'm in to BDSM, would love ideas to get bigger natural boobs and ass, really like rude messages about me, My body or my silly problem, also like to read a lot about womans milking specially by machines or hand)

I am not giving up!

I started my interest in inducing in December? Got the MomCozy in February and was not super consistent. I had early breast changes and duct fluid and was all excited. I have been way more consistent going on three months. I take herbs but no dom. Haven’t had any noticeable progress. Discouraging. Except, yesterday while pumping, I swear I felt letdown. Tingling and release. Took me way back to when I nursed my baby. Exquisite feeling! Is that possible without milk? Also, my breasts almost feel itchy. May not be anything groundbreaking but enough to keep me going.

Bf in the past-experiences

For those who breastfed in the past (babies), years ago- did you feel it helped you re-lactate?

When are prolactin levels highest for third shift workers? (Sleeping between 2-10pm)

I know that prolactin is high between 1-5am and I’m assuming it’s because those are natural sleeping hours. Does this change for 3rd shift workers who work 12-8a? Any data supporting a change?

I’m wondering if it’s worth power pumping at work during that high-prolactin time or saving it for the daytime, close to when I’d be sleeping.

Bariatric surgery

Has anyone done bariatric surgery and still able to produce during and after? I know it can hinder a supply thankfully I don’t have one right now but I think by the time my date comes I might have a small. I’m going for a VSG. Aka sleeve surgery. If you have can you please let me know. I did stop my supplements because it says 2-3 weeks for them to get out of your body and can cause excess bleeding or blood thinning.

Talk to me about Dom

I’ve started pumping again and have fluid drops and my breasts feel heavy and sore with that feeling they need to be pumped. I want to try dom to hurry my milk in but I have no idea where to start or if I even need it since I’ve got drops.

Positive after a week of pumping

Today I got clear liquid out of both breast, not like dripping or anything, but I could see they were both wet where only my right side was barely doing anything, so I guess that's a step I'm the right direction.

Sore breasts without producing milk

So I’m attempting to induce and pump about every two hours. I haven’t produced anything but my breasts will get really sore and have little zingers as I approach the two hour mark. Without milk, where is this feeling coming from? It’s very puzzling.

Weird thing lol

Okay so I was spoiled I guess when I had my sons. I was provided a hospital breast pump and it was the Medela symphony while we were there for 2 weeks. ( I LOVED that pump) anywho fast forward and I have gotten the spectra 2 from insurance, it could not empty me or stimulate at all. I had a lot of issues and ultimately lost my supply and milk. That was 6 yrs ago…

Fast forward and I’m attempting to induce again, broke down and got the Medela pump in style max flow which is very loud compared to the pumps I’ve tried (Bella baby, lanosinoh, momcozy) anywho I have been pumping two weeks with the lansinoh and my right side is my lazy side. I pump three times today with the Medela since it just came today, and my right side is all on board all of a sudden!

Like my boob is a weirdo and wants preferential treatment lol 😆

Extreme fatigue/weight distribution?

Does anyone get extremely fatigued during induction? I have been so tired I am stupid. Noticing lots of great changes (breasts are larger, thirstier, hungrier etc). Dom on order and have been inducing via pump and occasional suckling. I’ve also noticed a change in where weight is being distributed. The number on the scale hasn’t changed but I feel “soft” if that makes sense. Also been VERY, VERY emotional. Normal?

My kids are now teens and also looking for a way to be discreet about pumping:milk storage. Thanks in advance!

Little white dots on nipples??

Hi, ive been actuallu consistently pumping a few weeks now, and I have little white dots appearing on my nipples. They arent painful, and if I squeeze my nipple, theyll come out sometimes. The white debris is soft and malliable, not liquid (im starting to get little clear drops), squishy though. They are solid, and similar to what you might see come out of a black head.

Does any one have ideas as to what they may be?

White secretions from areola - is this Montgomery gland development?

Hi everyone! Question. Yesterday when pumping I had white secretions (seemed kind of like cold butter consistency?) that appeared from my areola on both breasts. Two spots on one and one on the other. I'm wondering what they were. They got stuck to the flange and were creamy white.

This was during a normal session after I had done a power pump earlier. I haven't recieved my Dom yet, no children/ pregnancy, no BC. I've been taking the Legendairy Liquid Gold (2-4 pills a day, bottle says take 6 but I kept forgetting).

And I've been pumping kind of infrequently (sometimes 4-7 times a day, others as little as 1-2). I'm still trying to get on a good schedule for that. I read that it might be my Montgomery glands clearing out. I've been pumping for about a month so far and taking the supplement for about 2 weeks. What do you think it could be?

Other developments I'm having are breast/nipple tenderness, warm breasts, denser and more heavy-feeling breasts, swollen breasts/larger size. My bras feel tighter.

Direct supplementation with Beta Glucan (found oats, barley etc) as a galactagogue?

Hey folks! I’m back with more studies and questions. In my research into galactagogues, oats and barley come up as being highly beneficial for milk production. While there is more than one compound that makes this true, the main one seems to be beta glucan. Here’s a good article on the subject.

https://hilaryjacobson.com/lactogenic-diet/beta-glucans-and-the-dual-role-of-prolactin-a-detective-story/

There are a host of studies conducted on cows and other animals (no surprise there) about how directly supplementing with beta glucan increased milk in excess of 300% in some cases! However, we are not cows… Much fewer studies in humans but the limited science clearly shows a correlation, it just seems they just aren’t sure the exact mechanism…. Even less to know exactly how much would be needed in humans. I did find one ongoing one that is going to be published in the next couple of years.

So, eating barley and oats seems to be great! But personally I don’t love oatmeal daily and I don’t always want a beer. So I thought to just buy beta glucan and supplement it directly. I’m not producing milk just yet. Anyone else try this? Any anecdotes of the effects of oats or beer or production? Do you think it’s pointless?

Here are some links to studies on beta glucan (also it’s great in skincare, just saying):

Nipples have turned white in the centre?

In the last week my breasts have become full. My usually flat are now nipples constantly erect and tender. Then a couple of days ago my nips got itchy, now I'm noticing they're wider, pinker and in the centre the tissue appears slightly white. At first it worried me a bit. W

It's not a substance on the surface, its slightly deep. I notice it more in the mirror from a distance. The aerolas have darkened a bit too.

I'm not producing any fluid. I've been on 30mg/day of Dom for a week. Never lactated and been at this for a week.

Any idea what this development might be?

Does breastmilk have any proven health benefits for adults?

I’ve been curious about this because while I was drinking my ex-girlfriend’s breastmilk (for around 2 years or so) I never got sick. I also was in the best shape of my life, felt extremely healthy, never got hungover and even to this day have never caught covid. A lot of sites online say it has no effect on adults but based on what I experienced I’d beg to differ. Has anyone else experienced this or is it all in my head?

My bf seems do be slightly into as well and I’m wondering a few things…. How do I get the soreness to come back? And why did I feel a little nauseous when he played with them when they were super sore or does that not correlate

How do I get back into an ANR?

So I have a lactation fetish. My only experience with this kinda was with my ex-girlfriend. While we were dating in college I told her about my lactation fetish and she successfully induced lactation for me over summer vacation. But over this summer vacation we had some issues (due to my past traumas) that caused our relationship to become a little rocky. But we decided that we did still love and care for each other a lot so we still wanted to be great friends and hangout all the time. One thing was an issue though, she was still lactating. I think because there was still a huge connection between us she told me that she would continue lactating and would give me the milk in bottles if I wanted it, which I obviously agreed to. This went on for a long while (about 2 years or so) until she started seeing another dude who asked her to stop lactating and she did so. We eventually unfortunately fell out of touch due to what I feel like was because her new boyfriend was threatened by me and wanted me gone.

I know my experience with lactation is a little unconventional but where do I start in finding people who are into this? It’s a huge thing for me and not sure how to begin. How did others find their partners? Just need some advice lol. Thanks everyone!

Duct fluid to milk

Hi. New here but not to lactating (breastfed my children) Now that I have dried up and haven’t produced in years, I have started the venture again with my husband. Right now I have fluid fairly consistently when I pump (started darker yellow, now it’s more clear/yellow tint) and am just wondering when yours turned from fluid to milk. I know everyone is different, just curious.

I don’t take dom. I only take herbal supplements* my pumping isn’t consistent at all and I know I need to get on top of it!!

Those that take Dom and pump…

Those of you that take dom, how often do you pump? Do you stick with the same 2-3 hour routine or leave it a little longer?

Also I finally got some drops!! - enough to make a lil puddle in my bottle bottom!! It is so exciting after two years on and off trying!
