Hello, I am writing a paper on anti breeding, on why you should adopt not stop. I have to write counterarguments. One of them I often hear from breeders is, "we are preserving the breeds." I know this is just an excuse for their disgusting unethical practice. Does anyone have any sources denying this??? It would help a lot. Thank you

🌟 Meet Ghirardelli 💕
Location: Houston, TX (transportation available for approved adopters and Roams to Homes locations)
The sweetest girl with a heartwarming rags-to-riches story! This lovely momma was found wandering the streets with only one surviving puppy after being seen with at least five. After over a year of fending for herself, Ghirardelli was finally rescued. At first, she was bewildered by love, delicious meals, and a cozy home, unsure if she deserved such happiness.
But it didn’t take long for Ghirardelli to embrace her new life. Now, she’s a playful, affectionate pup who loves her toys, giving kisses, and snuggling on the couch. Her calm and gentle nature will make anyone fall in love with her!
Here’s a bit more about Ghirardelli:
✅ Around 1.5-years-old
✅ Believed to be a Rottie/Kelpie mix with an adorable face and unique features
✅ Working on her manners (sit, stay, down, and not jumping on excitement)
✅ Potty trained and spayed
✅ Still working on kennel training
✅ A big fan of human affection and kisses
✅ Love toys and playing, but has her relaxed side when it’s time to chill
Ghirardelli is ready to find her forever home where she can share her love and joy. Could it be with you? 🏠❤️

Marvin PAST DEADLINE EXTREMELY URGENT 🆘 FINAL 72 HR NOTICE expired on Oct 6 Marvin is in very high danger of being euthanized at any time, at Downey's discretion, because she is past deadline.
#A5647909 4years spayed Alaskan Husky 43 lbs Owner surrender on 8/23/24 Marvin was surrendered due to an injury on the right side of her face, which was swollen and draining. Marvin is ok for public adoption High energy level Playful females required at this time
Marvin greeted the runner with a loose wiggly body, a loose tail wag, open mouth pant, natural ear set, and soft eyes. The runner leashed and removed Marvin from kennel without issue. She walked ahead with a moderate pull, bypassing dogs along the way. She occasionally turned and jumped on the runner to solicit petting. In the catch pen, Marvin was collared and leashed while soliciting petting. She greeted the dogs at the barrier with a neutral demeanor and was allowed into the yard. Once in the yard, Marvin appeared overwhelmed and was shifted to the adjacent yard with gentle dainty dogs. She was more at ease and exchanged greetings nicely. She played nicely for some time and was reintegrated into the main yard. Marvin exchanged greetings with a loose wiggly demeanor then exchanged play bows. She easily integrated herself with other dogs engaging in play chase and playful wrestling. Marvin also participated in rough house play. At times Marvin would nip the other dog's hind area when playing chase. Marvin needed some steering from the handlers when her play would become too rough. Marvin maintained an energetic and playful demeanor, she was social with dogs, with a seek and engage play style.

Rooney #А5653330 2yr neutered German Shepherd 60 lbs. Rescue only Low energy
For now, Rooney would thrive best in a low-energy environment with calm dogs while he builds confidence and trust Rooney growled when the runner attempted to leash him. It took a couple attempts because he kept dodging the leash. Once leashed, he bolted out of the kennel, trying to maintain distance from the runner. In the catch pen, he remained fearful and avoidant of the runner. Therefore, assistance was required to collar Rooney while he flinched with any physical contact with the runner.
Despite his fearful behavior, he was allowed in the yard with calm dogs, allowing him to adjust to the environment. He avoided greeting the dogs. For the most part, he stood in a corner. Rooney tolerated being in the yard, but did not attempt to socialize with any dogs. The handler slowly initiated the handling assessment by petting Rooney. As Ronney allowed physical contact, the handler started examining the head, ears and mouth. Touching the tail caused Rooney to sit down, with a concerned stare. The handler was able to examine the rear paws but when reaching for his front paw, Rooney began rising his lip. As the handler proceeded to examine the front paw, Rooney eventually reacted by air snapping. Due to his defensive reaction when his front paw is touched, Rooney is considered Rescue only.
