‼️Sharing Shadow again - why does nobody care about him⁉️Isn’t he fluffy enough? Is it because he’s a black dog? He needs a foster by 5pm today(04/03) or will be euthanized at Downey ACC. Why does nobody want him? Please step up! He’s on borrowed time & was mislabeled & surrendered by his owners!

Fostering is temporary (3-4 months) and zero costs. Please dm me or email me immediately at: Isabeldesiree8@gmail.com if you're working breed experienced and would like to give Shadow a chance by fostering or adopting him. Shadow ##A5470079 2yrs Male German shepherd 70 lbs. Owner surrendered 2/19/24 due to alleged people aggression Owner explained while playing with Shadow he becomes aggressive such as growling and showing teeth. For example, while paying catch, when owner goes to grab the ball Shadow can become aggressive and lunge towards her, making her concerned. Adults only and calm dogs required Shadow knows sit, head down and shake BEHAVIOR: Shadow was easy to remove and moderately pulled on leash (overwhelmed by noise). He was overwhelmed by dogs. He paced back and forth around the yard. He jumped on the handler and solicited affection. He was moved to the side gentle/ dainty yard. Overall Shadow was tolerant of the dogs and does not have a playstyle at this time. HANDLING: Shadow ran to the handler when she called him over. He allowed the handler to pet him everywhere but was uncomfortable having his paws grabbed, he would move them away and then jump on the handler. Overall Shadow was tolerant of being pet but will require confidence building and continued socialization. RESOURCE GUARDING: Handler presented Shadow a toy, he sniffed it then walked away, the handler tossed the toy, he was uninterested. Handler picked up the toy, tossed it again and picked it up then placed the toy near his mouth to get him to play. He remained uninterested in the toy the entire time. The handler then presented him his food bowl. He sniffed the food but did not eat. The handler was able to retrieve the food bowl from him. He remained uninterested. Overall Shadow displayed no concerning behavior. Location: Downey ACC

Arlise is a beautiful Malinois in URGENT need of foster or adoption. SOS at risk of Euthanasia

🆘ARLISE 🆘 handsome Malinois Past Deadline! Arlise will be euthanized today without immediate help. Please offer to foster her, it's temporary (3-4 months) and zero costs. Or responsibly adopt her if you are familiar with that breed and a active person. If you can foster her in CA or adopt (also out of state) dm or email me immediately at: Isabeldesiree8@gmail.com Arlise #A5607739 2yr spayed Belg Malinois 60 lbs. Arlise is ok for public adoption Adults Only required + KHOA form due to barrier reactivity with dogs She is medium energy level, no other dogs recommended The runner presented her hand and Arlise sniffed and licked it. She was easily leashed and removed from the kennel. She walked ahead of the runner with a strong pull interested in sniffing the environment. In the catch pen, Arlise was collared, leashed, and muzzled without incident. She was introduced to the dogs at the barrier and she became tense then started to lunge at the barrier. Arlise was guided into the play yard and she exchanged greetings with a timid demeanor and then moved on. Arlise made her way to the handlers and began to solicit petting. She placed her paws on the handlers chest allowing them to pet her. Arlise moved on and began to explore the play yard appearing more at ease and interested in interacting with the others. After continuing to socialize nicely Arlise's muzzle was removed. Arlise continued to roam the play yard and interact with the others but did not engage in play. When new dogs would come to the catch pen Arlise would growl and charge the barrier requiring firm corrections and steering from the handlers. Arlise maintained a relaxed demeanor through out the handling assessment and solicited further petting after. Another day another facility foster

Meet Superwomen. She came to us as a nervous momma and has now started confidently exploring. Superwomen started out being scared of being outside but with reassurance and love she has grown to enjoy our long walks. Everyday I spend with her I can see a new glimmer of hope. I hope soon that she finds her forever home and her person. The strides she makes with me are incredible. ❤️

People selling puppies behind place of work

I work for a retail store in southern California and our proceeds go to a no kill shelter. These people who breed dogs set up a cage and sell puppies behind our parking lot. Have tried calling non emergency two days in a row to report them and ideally say they can't sell here and they keep hanging up on us. Anything we can do? It's very disheartening.

Does anyone have experience with kitty rescue homes?

Gringo was abandoned at my building as a kitten. About a year ago I took him in thinking I could find him a home quickly. The neighbor found him a home but he escaped it the first night and I had to go track him down for 4 months. I am allergic and have other health situations that make it difficult to care for him. I tried many rescues and they were all full until recently a spot came up in at an LA facility. It's a home turned into a rescue and they adopt on site and also take the kitties out for adoption events. Just wondering if any of you on here have experience with them or what you think of this idea. I just have had trouble finding him a home on my own and they have a much wider network then myself. I was thinking if he doesn't get matched to a good home in a certain time frame to get him back and keep trying to make it work here. Isn't he a beauty?! Thank you all!
