[Unpaid] Female voices need for minor roles for comic dub

I am looking for a few more voice actors for minor roles in a comic dub about the webcomic Bittersweet Candy Bowl. We currently only need female roles filled, which goes as follows.

Janet: Janet is the adoptive mother of one of the characters. She is a very caring person, wanting her son to spend time with his friends. A recurring role, will return in a later dub, I’ll send all your lines for both at the same time.

Chirpy: A very ‘twee’ sounding character. Think of your typical little anime girl with a high pitched voice.

Beach Girl 1/ Beach Girl 2: These are two background characters that end up fawning over one of the main characters for a few pages. Typical beach goer valley girl attitude.

Contact me on Reddit, or at my Discord username, fannelman. Thanks!

Getting back into acting

Hey! I’m looking for an acting pal to help motivate me practicing acting. I’m a 25 yr old male and I haven’t done any acting for the past 5 years. I play D&D which is a great time for improv but I would like to work on short scenes and helping each other out with monologues for auditions.

So yeah, feel free to DM. Thanks have a great day!

Actress needed!

Hello! I’m making a short film about alien pregnancy, but it’s supposed to have a comedic undertone. I need an actress for the role obviously, right now I cannot offer pay. The short is supposed to be around 5-6mins MAX. I know this is volunteer work essentially, but I’d really appreciate it. If anyone is interested, please let me know!

Acting : Got lucky I guess

So a few weeks back I got casted in a play called on strivers row apparently they had been working on the play for 6 months and some of the cast left and i filled in. It was funny how i got the part as ive always wanted to be an actor and got one of the main roles. My castmates were impressed i learned the script in two weeks and we finished showings this past sunday. Im currently a sophomore in college as a criminal justice major and always wanted to act but never had the chance to show it. Now im left with this feeling of you did great but i want more to do and to be. the head of the Department also asked if i could double major.my castmates all said i did well and grew in the short time but now i feel kind of lost. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Question: DIY help needed!!

I’m in a financial crisis right now but was told by my potential (in talks right now) talent agency that I need professional headshots and video reel in order to move forward, not the ones I’ve made myself. I tried to make them look as best as I could but I suppose they still came off as severely amateur. I cannot afford an actual photographer, videographer, or editor. I have no choice but to do this all on my own. Any advice or tutorials on how this can be accomplished?? I’m not great at technology other than apps so… headshots and video reels (including editing) for dummies is the goal here😅

Hey guys! I am a very new actor(started acting within last 2 years) this is sort of my first demo reel. I have other passions within filmmaking like writing and editing but acting is probably my favorite. Any tips for how I can improve my reel or even just my craft in general??

I feel like the worst part about being an aspiring actress is when you’re really going through stuff, and ppl won’t take you seriously.

Acting experiences and ideal roles

Looking for people who act (either on an amateur basis or professionally) to fill in this short (approximately 10 minutes) anonymous questionnaire for a research project based at Northumbria University. The research investigates some of the aspects of yourself you may adapt to fulfil a role and the kind of roles you would like to play. More details and link to the questionnaire here: https://nbsnu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_43n2tOOokvU0zEG

Thank you and best wishes

Going into acting do I want a degree or a diploma?

I am planning on going to a college program for film and television because thats what I am hoping to pursue, but i don't know if when I actually go to audition for things and try and get parts if its important to directors that you have a university degree in acting or theatre rather than a diploma...

What do you think is best?

New Online Acting Classes starting soon. Learn the technique top actors use.

https://www.facebook.com/1540186344/videos/10223105537937073/

This is the behind the scenes for the PIC commercial that we just completed for Europe. What a delightful project. There were 9 directors involved from around the world. Our advertising agency and production company were in Milan. We stayed in touch online and brought the images together from around the world to send a message of care during this time of need. In America, we filmed actors from our own school, Michael Givens & Associates—Acting & Film Institute in Charleston and Atlanta. God bless.

- New Europe Online Acting Classes are about to start in Europe. If you are an actor and want to improve your acting skills or are just interested in acting this is the best way to start.

If you are interested visit MGA's page and join the class to learn the technique that top actors use. https://www.facebook.com/mgafilm1/

Looking for actors, directors etc.. to create online content.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Ben and I am a 33 year old aspiring actor, looking to build a team to create some content for our resumes and IMDBs etc. If you are a beginner actor/actress, director, camera man, editor, photographer, writer, sound engineer etc. in the film/tv world this is a great chance to form a solid group to hone in on your skills. I have a couple ideas and I'm looking for others that are excited about giving they're own input. I am looking for independent, self-starting, go-getters, who are looking to start working by creating they're own opportunities! I am located in Venice LA but willing to travel to film. If you are racist, sexist, or homophobic, this is not the group for you... thanks Update: I'll be sending group invites out first thing in the morning 6/11/2020 Update: If you are interested in being an active member of this group (MAX 15 ppl but hopefully somewhere around 7 people) please message me with your email and what you hope to get out of a group like this. We will be using Slack to connect and I will invite each of you to the group. Slack allows us to instant message, create projects, share files, phone and video chat with up to 15 ppl at once. This is a great website and app for us to stay connected and will be free for you all to use.

[Voice Acting][US-West]

Hi all! First time posting here, nice to meet you guys! So tldr, I'm late-20s male, super interested in getting into voice acting. I have experience singing and doing public speaking, and have never done voice acting but am exploring my creative talents and have been told I might have a really good voice for this. I can do a few different tones/voice and can provide some demo readings if it would be helpful in figuring out a direction that might work for me, but really what I'm really looking for is any advice about how one gets into this game, any resources available for honing my voice that you all have found helpful, sites to start looking for beginning work, etc. If providing my interests helps I've been pointed towards VNs and also dramatic readings or voice overs for webcomics which I'm also a total nerd for. I would be super thankful for any and all direction as well as to network with anyone in the business with insights or just to chat. Thanks again!

Improv, anyone?

I'm hoping we can do a group call on Skype, and work on our improv. We could play some games, like change (see markiplier's video) or maybe whose line is it anyway (the TV show). thanks!

[PAID] Indie game studio looking for a boy between 12-14 yo to give voice to a video game protagonist | paying extra if an excellent match and good acting |

Hello there,

Simply visit our game's website at http://www.rawconcretegame.com/ , scroll down and play the video to get some idea of the game and the protagonist himself. If interested, send us an e-mail (it's at the bottom of the website's "Studio" page) with the audio sample of your voice.

Here's a test dialogue you can try if you want (Sam's lines):

Prof- Yees Sam- Hi there professor, it's Sam, how are you doing sir? Prof- Heey, hi Sam, I'm, I'm doing fine, thank you. How are you son? Sam- I'm...excited... professor, would it bother you to come and meet me at the train station, in 45 minutes? I need to give you something, it's very urgent. Prof- It wouldn't, I was just preparing to go outside and take a walk anyway. What is it about? Sam- I need to give you a disk, it's of great importance you have it. Prof- A disk? What's on the disk? Sam- Data regarding...something extremely rare, complicated and dangerous professor. Prof- What do you mean, dangerous? Sam- Professor, please...I'll be waiting for you at the station. You'll find out more when you return home. Prof- All right son, all right...I'll be on my way there. Bye. Sam- Thank you professor.

Oliver (project lead)
