The Bodemuller (Barnett) family owned this house, located at 524 Roosevelt. I reached out to the owner in 2019 to ask about purchasing it but received no reply. It was demolished yesterday, having been acquired by UL/LCG recently. This is why we can’t have nice things. What a hideous town we live in.
Anyone knows where I could buy a half or whole butchered cow. Thanks!

So I seen a post on facebook about a guy from the westbank of new orleans creating a new restaurant in memphis tennessee. He is calling it the “Ragin Cajun.” Being from acadiana and now residing in NOLA, this made me feel some type of way because there is no good cajun food out here. You could’ve named it anything else, but the fact you named it“ragin cajuns” instead of anything else around new orleans is mind blowing.
I just wanted to see how my acaidiana people feels about that.
EDIT: If anyone knows of good cajun food in NOLA, I’ll be glad to give it a try.
Any suggestions for the best Escape Room in Lafayette? Looking for a 15 year old.
I have to meet up with someone in a safe, public space. The conversation could likely become difficult at points. I thought maybe somewhere with food which might help ease some of the awkwardness and provide opportunities for breaks, but even then I don't know which place would be a good fit. For clarification, there will be no scene making, we know how to behave. We just want to meet on neutral ground.

I am new to the area (Lafayette) and interested in strength training in a class format. Any recommendations? I'm a woman so ideally nothing with too much of a macho/bro vibe lol. I also like yoga/pilates and would love a location that offers a variety of options, but I haven't been able to find anywhere like that yet, so I'm open to suggestions on both fronts!
Like the post says, I'm going to be stopping here for the night, was wanting to know about some good places to get some good creole or cajun food, or any local spots, thank you for any help! I should have clarified we will be in Lafayette.
does anyone know where i could get my hands on a king cake by december 29th? i'm visiting relatives up north and i want to bring some to them, and i've called like 3 places to ask when they start making them. it always goes something like "when do you start selling king cakes?" -> "after christmas" -> "could i get one by the 29th?" "lol no" and i was wondering if any of you had any ideas
i'm in lafayette but don't mind driving
Someone really needs to check out ambassador traffic lights between 7:30am-9am. Especially the 2 near Costco. I was stuck there for 3 cycles which is ridiculous
do any of yall know where the original breauxs bridge was? i’ve been asking and nobody seems to know for sure
Do y'all feel safe when dashing? Has dashing at dark been an issue? I'm just starting out and I feel a little unsure about it. On school days id only be able to dash after dark.
Does anyone know if any of the local Popeyes have turkeys in stock? I checked a few locations and tried calling. Seems that contactless service is the new normal. No turkey option on the kiosks.
