What’s the info on this place? Looks great? Do they do dinner or just lunch?
Looking for Christmas party ideas for a small office of about 10 people. Preferably daytime but open to nighttime suggestions also. Activity and/or food. We did Bougie Bar and lunch downtown last year and we've done Top Golf and Escape Room as teambuilding activities recently.
Anyone have any recommendations on firearm classes in the Lafayette area where I can get my permit and actually learn how to use a gun before buying one?
I'm 20, female, looking for a roommate in my two bed/two bath apartment. Your rent would be 540/month + half of the electric. I have two female cats, very sweet, I'm very clean with them, no smells. The apartment is at maison bocage on marie Antoinette street. The lease ends in May. I need a roommate ASAP, my current roommate can no longer afford to support themselves. If anyone's interested please let me know, I'd like to meet first and talk in person before I agree to anyone.
Know where I can buy some farm fresh eggs?
I'm looking to follow good journalists/reporters for local news, especially those that pertain to city/parish/statewide politics? Trying to curate my news to focus more on local stuff. I will also take other recommendations than just journalists/reporters as sources for good info.
On their website, it looks great. I haven't been there, but they call themselves a supermarket, so I assume it's take-out only.
I drove through Baldwin heading back to NOLA after Festival Acadiens and apparently passed a speed camera. Thing is I pay attention for the signs warning of speed cameras and saw none on that trip. Anyone else get a ticket from Baldwin??

I think the boudin world is ready for expansion and I have ideas to get there.
For my whole life in south LA there have been only 2 types of boudin: Pork & Seafood.
Sure there are sub types like Blood Boudin, Smoked Boudin and Seafood Boudin - but it’s always been limited to these 2 proteins in a rice based mixture.
And yes, there’s Boudin Balls, but that’s just fried boudin with a greasy crust.
I’m talking strictly boudin in casing.
So yeah, I think the market is ready to expand on just Pork and Seafood that have been around forever.
Why not Grits & Grillades Boudin?
Smothered Chicken Boudin?
Duck & Andouille Boudin?
BBQ Pork Steak Boudin?
Shrimp & Grits Boudin?
Go crazy with Hawaiian Pork & Pineapple Boudin?
Somebody make this happen and think of me when it flies off the shelf!
Price doesn’t matter but not interested in only fried food. Thanks!
Does anyone know what "Banana Spencer" refers to on Cajun Power Sweet Treat? A person? Recipe? Pet hamster?
Hey yall! Do any farmers markets offer a weekly produce box for $20-$40? Ive lived in New Orleans and they do that, but I wanted to see if we had one in the Lafayette or surrounding area.
I am looking for a few stalks of the old time sugar cane. It was a fatter, juicier and sweeter variety compared to the modern cane that is currently planted and grown by commercial farmers. After a little research, chewing cane is what I am looking for and common varieties are Red cane or Blue Ribbon cane.
I had found some from a man near Scott many years ago but back then, I did not know how to grow cane and it just ended up left outside to rot.
I’m curious as to what kind of speeds we get around Acadiana because I’m contemplating switching ISP’s but don’t want to do so if the speeds are the same or only marginally better.
I need someone in my life that is a therapist or some other professional that does behavior modification therapy. Does anyone know of a professional who does this in the acadiana area? Like gives homework or tasks, holds you accountable to change. Help please
My rental house paperwork says built in 1972. I’m switching insurance coverages and they are asking for lead paint disclosure certificate that I do not have and I’m unaware if there is or not. They would like to inspect but I have tenants who have occupied the house for over 7 years. What could happen if tests positive? What should I do?
I’ve been back in Lafayette for almost 3 years now and have had the toughest time finding an OBGYN I feel comfortable with. I’ve had to go to the health clinic to get a nexplanon inserted and to get nonjudgmental STI testing done.
But my goal is to finally get a tubal ligation within the next few months. I’ve never wanted kids and I don’t want some doctor’s concerns about my fictional future husband or my age as I try to get this done. I’ve consulted the list of doctors in the child free subreddit but they’re all booked, some even until next year.
HELP 😭
Hi all.
I'm on the hunt for a doctor in the Acadiana area which does SOME kind of pain management before IUD removal+insertion. I've never had kids and have had 3 IUDs prior and eventually blacked out every time from the pain. I need one soon and I'm really hoping I can find someone in the area here who does more than just give me a tylenol before the procedure.
I've called several doctors offices so far to no avail. I was wondering if anyone knew for SURE. They don't necessarily have to become my permanent OB, my current doc just does not offer any pain management.
I know about Le Marche in Maurice but that's far outta my way. I'm talking about the kind that comes in tin foil with Jack Millers.
