My son wants to wear a bra how can I help him find a bra that fits

My son voiced his concerns about his enlarged chest bothering him since is he is overweight. he’s grown quite a large chest. He complains that during gym class that his chest hurts while exercising and he feels self conscious on the way they look unsupported. In my point of view he’s always slouching idk if a bra that gives adequate support will help his posture. I want to help him but I don’t know where to start could I get some help please and thank you I told him to measure himself with the calculator and these are the results

Loose Underbust: 36 Snug Underbust: 35 Tight Underbust: 34 Standing Bust: 39 Leaning Bust: 42 Lying Bust: 37

Bra that doesn’t dig into my armpits?

ISO a bra that doesn’t dig into my armpits. I wear a 38GG. I have a very projected chest, but a narrow ribcage. Even as a young girl, bras were always too wide for me. They dig in at my armpit and the front of my shoulders and my straps always fall off. Looking for something that supports my large chest, but also isn’t so wide.

[Recommendations?] 32J looking for a bra that gives me cleavage

I measured for a 32J (32GG in uk) and bought 2 Freya bras in a 32J that fit perfectly. I believe they're plunge and unlined. They look fantastic without clothes on, but they're kind of hit or miss with some of my clothes (shape wise). Or maybe I'm not used to it. Does that happen to other peopie too? I do not have any cleavage with them, and I kind of miss it. Are there any bras that will actually fit AND give me cleavage?

How are you supposed to take a deep breath in a proper fitted band? I always feel restricted from fully inhaling and having anxiety that's not ideal.

I've tried a variety of bras and bralettes and none have made me fall in love yet. I measure as a 28C/D, extremely extremely shallow breast tissue. My measurements are 29, 28.5, 27, 31, 31.5, 30.5.

The cup size is besides the point. If a 28 band is only supposed to stretch 28", where's the breathing room? Fully exhaled my ribcage measures 27", but fully inhaled it measures 31". Say I'm wearing a 28 band or bralette equivalent that measures 28/29", it's extremely difficult to get that full breath and my face usually turns red. If I try to size up then it's too loose when I exhale fully. So what is the answer?? Do I need a stretcher band? If so, what brands make stretchy as fuck bands in a 28?

Just used size calculator and I'm 32DDD. Any recommendations?

Hello! I realized this week that I hate all 5 bras that I own. Yesterday I got fitted in a store, and she told me a 32C would be most accurate. Weirdly the Corin (a Polish company) - Virginia 1871 in 36A fits perfectly, so I bought one!

Now I feel like I need more bras that actually fit me. The size calculator suggested I start with 32DDD, but a 34DD may be more comfortable. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

My measurements in cm are:
Loose Underbust: 82
Snug Underbust: 80
Tight Underbust: 76
Standing Bust: 94
Leaning Bust: 97
Lying Bust: 93

[Fit Check] Please help me find a bra that fits!

Hi all. Using Reddit for the first time to get some help with this so bear with me.

Measurements: LU: 39, SU: 38, TU: 37, SB:46.5, Leaning Bust: 50, Lying Bust:48

The calculator says I’m a 38 GG in UK and 38J.

I read a bunch here and decided to try an Elomi Charley 38GG. Here is the fit:

https://ibb.co/bWsgdBm https://ibb.co/WBppZV3 https://ibb.co/pRwZPrD https://ibb.co/gVQQnyj

The band feels quite tight. The worst part is the gore part of the wire. It feels like it is caving inwards and stabbing me in the chest. Extremely painful. I know nothing about bras. I’ve literally been wearing a wireless playtex 18hr 40DDD for years and have developed severe back problems from it. My shoulders have groves from the pressure on them. I’ve never worn underwires because everything I try hurts badly like this bra I just bought. What am I doing wrong? Is the band size too small? Is the cup too small? Just the wrong brand for me? I have zero clue what to try next. I don’t really understand the stuff about roots or fullness. My breasts are pendulous without a bra on if that helps.

helloo !! having issues with bra sliding down only on the front nd the cups seem to fold over the band which seems odd :")

artistic rendition will hopefully be in comments (if it will allow me lol)

basically its as the title says im hopefully getting a new one on sat

but oh my days its so odd?

like the cups fold over the band and make it practically non existant apart from the middle bit where my boobs arent

its not as if im too small (is that the right word?) and the empty space is flopping over, im filling the cup entirely, but might it be a too big issue?

and it also slides down at the front towards my stomach (the front bit of the band) and i keep having to hoist the whole bloody thing up by the straps to make it stay back at where it should be :')

its also feeling tight yet i can stretch the band (in the back) to the moon (exagguration but you get the idea lol) and im on the tightest hook

should i just get a different brand?

ill edit this with measurements if need be, but i am wearing a 30G UK and its the Freya Hallie bra :3

thank you in advance :D

ETA: just took the bra off and noticed indents/light markings on my boobs?? 🙁

another ETA: here are my measurements !

loose underbust: 31 snug underbust: 30.5 tight underbust: 29.5

standing bust: 40 leaning bust: 41 lying bust: 40

hope this is easier! :D

[Fit Check] Panache Ana Plunge 32DD - slight gaping and wrinkling

Trying on a Panache Ana Plunge in 32DD, I think I've got the band size right and the gore sits nicely on my sternum, but there's slight gaping + wrinkling at the side under my armpit and at the cups.

Wanted to get some advice on if this is a shape match issue, or if I should go down a cup size? Ty :')

Bit of history: Have always had issues with finding a nice fitting bra, and only started wearing bras regularly after I was fitted for a 32C Marie Jo Avero Heartshape at a boutique around half a year ago.

Recently redid my measurement calculations on the ABTF calculator as I noticed some issues like increased strain on my shoulders, having to tighten straps to support my breasts, the wires starting to slip down throughout the day, and generally just feeling less supported.

I tried on Panache Ana Plunge 32DD, 30E, and 32E, which the calculator recommended. 30 is way too tight for my sensory issues, and 32E is significantly and genuinely way too big for me.

Measurements: Underbust: Loose: 31 in Sung: 30 in Tight: 29 in

Bust: Standing: 35 in Leaning: 37.5 in Lying: 37 in

ABTF Calculator Recommended Sizes (UK): 30E/F, 32DD/E

Thank you so much :')

seamless bra with underwire and support for 36D

I cant find a good seamless branthat offers support and has underwire. Everything i find thats "seamless" also offers no support and I dont know where to look. Anyone with a bigger chest have recommendations? I was hoping to find one under $30 but I am seeing this might not exist. I guess does anyone know of a brand that doesnt show lines under a t shirt but still offers support for a person either big boobs under $45?

plunge cuts are my enemy, but I need something for tight tshirts. does the perfect molded balconette bra exist? [32F cup, tall wide projective roots]

so I have completely given up on plunge. They are always way too shallow and no matter what, Im either pouring out all over the place, or Im spread out with cleavage up to my collarbones and the shape points..up?! and I get quad boob.

my roots are very wide. I wear a 32F. my entire breasts round fully under my armpit. if I press them into my ribs, I have equal roundness on all sides, including inner fullness, and unfortunately up to my literal collar bones. There is a lot I don’t fit in.

Balconettes seem to fit very well bc they handle the projection and don’t squash my outer breast tissue. LOVE Cleo by Panache (Blossom Balconette and Asher Balconette are incredible) so far.

The issue is most seem to be unpadded and soft, and Im in desperate need of a tshirt bra…but they seem like 95% plunge. Does a molded balconette bra without push up exist? Freya seems off the table for me. I tried the Cleo plunges bc I love their other bras but it gave me quad boob that points up.

Thanks!!

Measurement check - current 36B but calculated 38E/F?!

Hi all! I just did the measurement calculator and am so confused with what it gave me. Suggested to start with a 38E/F and I am quite the opposite of busty. I am 5’11”, weigh 220, and have an athletic build so my breast tissue sits wide on my chest (literally no cleavage even in a bra). I fully expected to be a 38, but there’s no way I can fill out an E cup. I always wore an A/B cup because there truly is so little tissue to fill out anything larger, but I have gained weight since buying my last bra and just want something I can feel good in. I get so overwhelmed when bra shopping so just wanted to know if this seemed accurate and I should start with the suggested size or if I need to try again before having a meltdown in the bra section at Target… thanks!

Compression bra that isn't too tight?

Hi everyone, guy with gyno here. Mostly get by wearing sports bras but have been finding them too constricting lately (I wear Natori). Can anyone suggest a bra which has great compression but doesn't choke you? I am a 40D and most minimizers I have tried are too tight.

May have found a bra that ALMOST fits!

Hi all!

Just received a highly-anticipated Miseczki order, which is my first foray into Polish bras. As far as I can tell...2/3 didn't work, 1/3 ALMOST works. Want to see if anyone has any general feedback based on my descriptions (extremely nervous to post photos, you'll have to forgive me).

First off, here are my calculator sizes (calculator put me at 32G UK):

  • loose - 33.5
  • snug - 31.75
  • tight - 29.75
  • standing - 39.25
  • leaning - 44
  • lying - 41.5

I determined that I'm center-full with narrow and short-to-average roots, and am somewhat close-set (about an inch apart on top, but wider set on the bottom - I need a pretty stark triangle/trapezoid shape). I also believe I have even fullness and, most importantly, immediate projection. Additionally, when I lean forward, it kind of gets the "baseball in a sock" look? Like they're somewhat stretched out. ETA: from what I'm reading, it appears I have soft tissue, which could be causing these issues!

I tried a few bras, and had the following experiences in the past (you may recognize some descriptions from a past post LOL):

  • Panache Ana in 32G - realized after ordering on clearance that this ran a cup size small - oops! this causes a little quadding on my larger side (mostly resolved by loosening the strap a bit), and gives the sensation of me falling out. Also slides down around an inch out of my IMF from walking - but tolerable. The gore fits great and the wire is only about a 1/2 inch too wide, which makes me nervous that sizing up would cause it to be too wide/tall (especially since the construction changes on this one at GG). Kept this.
  • Freya Undetected T Shirt Bra in 32G - bought before realizing t shirt bras were too shallow for me. Overall a bust - HORRIBLE fit! gore wouldn't tack, wires wouldn't stay in IMF, overall a bad fit/shape match. Returned.
  • Panache Envy in 32G - At first, I thought the cups fit great, wire seemed to be right shape for me, gore tacked/didn't bug me. However, after wearing for half a day while moving around, it started to move up and down as I walked (rubbing my rib cage) and eventually slid down a solid inch or two below my IMF - gore stayed tacked, funnily enough! When I took it off, I realized that the wires were far too wide for my roots (solid inch further than where they should be). Returned.
  • Cleo Blossom in 32G - Closest UK fit I've gotten - wires are ALMOST narrow enough, gore tacks (almost too hard, and rubs my sternum sometimes), and 0 quadding. Only downside is it slides down over the course of the day, to about an inch below my IMF (a pattern, it seems). That being said, this is still "good enough" and I kept it.

Now onto the new bras I tried:

  • Comexim Elena Padded Plunge 70K - This is possibly the worst fit I've had since the freya t shirt bra, LOL - I think padded bras just aren't in the cards for me. Cups were somehow too big on top and way too small, pushing the gore a solid inch and a half away. No amount of adjusting worked. I think it's a size and MAYBE shape mismatch, but seeing as how weirdly it fit, I don't know if I want to give this style another chance. Returning.
  • Gorsenia Paradise in 32G - I'm on the large side of a G cup, so I stuck to my normal size in this despite the cup running a bit big. Cups fit ok, gore firmly tacked, the weird strings at the top (decorative) and the top of cup were both super loose though - possible it's just a LITTLE too big, but sizing down would make it way too small. Inevitably fit like my Cleo Blossom, and rode down after 30 ish minutes about an inch below my IMF. Wires were slightly too wide too. I think I'm going to return.
  • Ewa Milacheck BM bra in 75G - This may be the one. The only issue is - the gore is a soft tack (hovering literally less than a CM from my sternum) which I think is caused by my center-fullness or, possibly needing a slightly narrower gore (unlikely, as this isn't typically a huge issue for me). I pushed down on it, and don't quad out, so I don't think it's a cup issue (or, if it is, it's possible that sizing up would be way too big. Bit of wrinkling at the bottom of the cup, but that may just be the fabric. Been walking around in this, and haven't felt it noticeably sliding out of my IMF -maybe a little bit, but definitely less than an inch. Despite the price and it not being "perfect", I may keep this one, and order one in a non-dark color to see if that's the difference (due to shrinking).

If you've read this far, kudos to you! I wanted to post this to see if anyone has had similar issues/has any suggestions, and also as a data point for other similar people looking around. Between my projection, IMF shape, and narrowness, I may just have to resign myself to a bra that ALMOST fits, unless I want to get into making my own (a possibility)!

I'll have to remove both my breasts and put implants. Does 34dd hurt your back?

Hey girls! I have a very high chance of developing breast cancer (about 70%) which is why my doctor recommended me to remove both my breasts and put implants. I'm a small lady (about 1,55m and 56kg) and I have never had any issues with my breasts. They're not big, but they aren't zero.

Anyway, I wanted to enjoy this awful situation to upgrade my bra size. I thought about a 34dd because they look cute in a non-exaggerated way, but I'm a bit afraid that a bigger size will hurt my back in the long term. What would you recommend?

Also, has anybody here gone through these surgeries? I'd love to hear from ladies who've been through similar experiences.

Edit: ladies, I know nothing about bra sizes, I just searched for whatever bra size Sydney Sweeney has and I thought that was it 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for clarifying, I'm not a 34! What I meant was only that I would like my breast to look as big as these

[Fit Check] Panache Ana Plunge 34DD - Sliding Up on Tightest Hooks

I have been wearing my Panache Ana bra for about a week now after replacing my previous 36D size for 34DD and it felt snug and secure, at least at first.

In the past couple of days, it feels loose and when I raise my arms up, the wire in front slides up. It seems crazy to me because I don't think there's a chance in hell I could fit comfortably in a 32 band. Is there anything other than the band size being too large a potential cause of the wire riding up?

The gore lays flat on my sternum and feels good and comfortable. The bra fits nicely and I have no complaints about any poking or pain or aching. Everything about this bra works well and feels great, besides the bra riding up.

I should note that I had to return my Freya Fancies 34DD because the band was way too large- but I thought that was a problem with that bra specifically. Does the Ana run large in the band too, or am I just likely better suited for a 32DDD (32E)?

[Fit Check] Got my first bras in 36E/80F after measurement, looking for opinions on the fit and maybe help with shape

Measurements: Lose underbust 36" Snug underbust 35" Tight underbust 32.6" Standing bust 40.5" Leaning bust 42" Lying bust 38.5"

I got two bras in 36E/80F to try after the calculations, this is how they fit. Pictures included, they are all NSFW.

Triumph Vivid Spotlight WDP 36E/80F https://ibb.co/P4FxR18 https://ibb.co/VMjb2ks

I'd say it fits decently well, but on the right breast side there is some folding at the bottom. It's the smaller one so the other side doesn't have this issue.

Vivisence 1044 36E/80F https://ibb.co/f46FdMn (I can include more pictures if needed of course, second one got messed up)

The top did not have gapping without lifting my arm, so that's a new surprise. Mostly fits well, cuts under my armpit slightly. The band seems to be on the bigger side, I'd dare to say I could do with one smaller.

I'm in general happy with the results but I am not in the slightest educated on the topic, so maybe there's things off about it that I don't notice. Definitely more comfortable than the EU 85B I was wearing before LOL. I got the second bra to help with shape - now I did not realize that the middle part is so seperated by the wires. Based on the tests I did without bra, I'd say that I'm shallow, even vertical and center full, but maybe someone knows better; or can give tips on how to better determine that. Of course I'll go trough the instructions here again, but I'm not sure if the bras are even good enough for that :)

Can anyone from Australia able to help me?

Over the last 8 months I've lost nearly half my body weight, I need to buy some bras asap but I need them to be cheap for now as I'm a struggling single mother and I don't know where to look that actually stocks them for cheap.

Until this week I was just aimlessly trying on bras at different local places trying different ways to Messaure and calculate to attempt to find my size as my tatas have taken a toll after 6 babies and massive weight fluctuations. I honestly thought I was about a B cup as my girls look nearly non-existent now. A couple of days ago I stumbled across this form and that very helpful calculator.

The calculator has said to start at 26g/gg uk and 4h/hh au (sister sizing 28ff/g & 6g/h) My measurements are Loose: 69cm / 27.1" Snug: 66cm / 25.9" Tight: 64cm / 25.1: Standing: 89cm / 35" Leaning: 97cm / 38.1" Lying: 88cm / 34.6"

I'm also 5Ft4

If anyone knows of some cheap options I could access rather quickly for now I would be forever grateful as my current bras are literally unwearable now (I was 10j-12jj au in may)

Also any bra style suggestions for excess loose skin? I am very wide rooted (even at j/jj people would confuse me for a c-d) I'm not sure of my shape anymore, I use to be very firm, round and slightly heavier on bottom but I am now primarily skin... In a few weeks I would like to get a couple of nice bras but I have no idea what type of support I need now or what would be flattering to my body.

Thank you 😁

going to war on victoria's secret: advice

hello!

i (32ddd) was super excited, because i ordered a new bra from VS, only for it to completely spill out on me from every side, no matter how i adjusted the straps, and all. (which is honestly the most devastating feeling as someone with big tits i was waiting all week for it to come in the mail😭) i didn't realize this, but they do this sneaky thing where they put the actual paper tag in between the cloth care tags-- i was way too eager and ripped them off like a dumbass, but i am not going down without a fight. i am getting this $40 back

i bought some fabric glue, and am thinking of taking to gluing the care tags back on (the rule is that you don't need to have the paper tag on, just the inside care tags for return). i'm pretty crafty, but before i try to send this in and process my fraud bra for a return, does anyone have any similar experiences with returning to VS?

please don't be in my replies telling me off, etc... advice on using fabric glue is also appreciated <3

Sticker shock, where do I start?

Bra Size chart help

I used the calculator here and got 36g Loose under bust 36 Snug 35 Tight 33.75 Standing 43.5 Leaning 43 Lying 42 Last time I got measured was probably a year or more at soma, been wearing 40DD but the cups definitely seem too small, underwire runs on side boob sometimes. So many brands out there and I have no idea where to start. Tried underoutfit but they didn’t fit right. If cups were right band was loose.

Is the underwire supposed to dig into my chest?

I was recently fitted for a bra, and it felt fine at purchase. However, I realized that the underwire is really digging into my chest, and it’s pretty uncomfortable. It’s leaving red marks below my breasts. The cups feel fine. Should I try going up a band size?

Rectangular strap attachments are turning sideways 😭

I have large breasts but I don't know if this is a regular issue or a large breasts issue, but all the bras I can get my hands on that are pretty have rectangular strap attachments from the band to the strap on the back so the weight pulls these sideways and I'm stuck with these digging into my back. I prefer online shopping as I hate shopping in store as I am plus sized, can anyone recommend bras that have circular shaped strap attachments here? Or even a way that I can fix the ones I have as they are quite lovely and comfortable otherwise.

Has anyone tried the wireless bras (or “tops”, as they are called on the website) from Ewa Michalak?

About 6 months ago, I ordered some Ewa Michalak bras, back then they only had a few wireless options, that didn’t really appeal to me, so haven’t tried those yet. I got a newsletter today that mentioned some new tops (wireless bra) and bras and the wireless bra shown in the newsletter looked nice, so I checked out the website and see a few more I like.

Has anyone tried any? How is the sizing (band and cup) compared to other Ewa Michalak bras? And how is the support compared to other wireless options (like Sugar Candy, Cosabella or others)?

I’m thinking about ordering a few, as currently I often switch out my bras in the afternoon/early evening for a wireless option, so I could really use a few more.

Really need help finding a comfortable soft bra with a super stretchy band?

I have major sensory issues that cause me to feel pain and shortness of breath when my chest is at ALL constricted around the bra band area. For that reason I have always more comfortable braless. Pregnancy and weight gain have resulted in my breasts increasing in size, however, and now I ALSO feel uncomfortable without some support or constriction. The problem is that what is marketed as "gentle support" always feels suffocatingly tight to me. I feel like I have tried EVERY soft-cup bra on the market and simply cannot find one that is comfortable. They are all too tight around the band. I have also tried underwire bras with larger band sizes but they slide around too much. Snug fitting tank tops work a bit better, but can be too hot. Does anyone have a suggestion for me? Maybe a soft bra with a VERY stretchy band?

Fitting issues - very small cup size

Hey everyone,

My cup size is very very small and I only ever wear bras in order to hide my nipples under thinner clothing (no support needed).

The issue I have is that the underwire of my bras keeps riding up over my breasts when I lift my arms. I've tried lengthening the straps, but then they just fall off the sides of my shoulders.

Sports bras stay in place fine, but they're not suitable for all outfits.

Does anyone recognise this issue and have any advice?
