Would anybody like to be apart of a book club? We would pick a book we like and get together once every month or every other month to talk about our book! Snack, maybe do some crafts, take turn hosting and etc! I’m (23)F with a baby so I understand how busy everyone’s lives can be.

Have you ever wanted to have a painting of your partner, a family portrait, your dog or whatever your favorite photo is? I always loved the idea of painting but unfortunately I'm not the best at it. A few months ago though a friend and I came up with a cool idea, what if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers. That way anyone can paint, anything they want.

We looked up custom paint by numbers and found a few Etsy stores selling them but they were way overpriced and most of them didn't even come with the canvas on a frame. So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers, eventually we managed to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed (you can still order them without a frame but we found most people want them ready to go out of the box).

Long story short though we're trying to grow and get more people talking about us. So we decided it would be a good idea to reach out to some subreddits and hopefully you'll enjoy them enough to share your experience :)

I'm going to Abilene State Park for the first time in a couple of weeks. I saw on their website you can fish at lake Abilene, but looking at google maps it looks dried up and the main road closed off. Is that still the case? Are there other areas to fish at out there?

I’m eighteen and a girl, I just moved here from los Angeles and I am living with my family. I would like to make friends somehow but I don’t really know where to start with that and I haven’t found any places hiring yet.

I don't remember ever hearing about this project when it was proposed in the early 2000s but totally wish the state would of made it a reality. The Caprock Chief was a Amtrak line that was going to run from Fort Worth to Denver. It was going to have stops in Abilene and Sweetwater then switch from the Union Pacific line to the Santa Fe in Sweetwater then run to Lubbock and Amarillo on its way to Colorado. I'm too young to remember passenger trains in Abilene but I often have wondered what it was like back in the late 1800s and early 1900s, people riding into town, getting a hotel room at the grace and later the Wooten. Would of been a sight to see.

I have rode Amtrak about 3 times and personally I love it, it's the road less traveled that you never see from the interstate or highways. You go thru alot of big ranches, see a lot of wildlife and livestock, bridges over lakes, it's so much fun IMO. Way better than greyhound, not as convenient as flying but I still always enjoy it. Would also have some economic benefits, usually in the larger towns the train stops anywhere between 10 mins to sometimes an hour or 2. Fort Worth has a subway right by their stop, alot or people get off and go eat then climb back on. Anyways I really wish this project would of came to light, would of been so cool to hop a train in downtown Abilene and ride it to Denver just for the heck of it.
