Looking for place to rent

single male 24 years old with a 12 pound dog. Looking to rent a one bed one bath. Location would be somewhere within the metro Atlanta area preferably within Dekalb Henry or Clayton county. budget is 1500 max. I work seasonal in Alaska and do not meet traditional renting standards which is why I’m struggling to find a place. I would be able to provide verification of funds in addition to paying upfront. Low credit. Would be able to sign with a guarantor. No shared living situations or roommates. Any leads in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

ATL housing with evictions that was dismissed

Hello all! I was wondering if anyone knew of housing in metro-atl that accepts someone with evictions on their record. I have had multiple evictions filed at my previous complex because my roommate situation fell through. I was always able to come up with the money before having to ever go to court but they still show on my record as they were filed and dismissed. I ended up breaking my lease due to the price/couldn't afford it and I'm finally on my feet to rent on my own but end up getting denied due to my rental history. Are there any options for me ??

Apartment recommendations in Midtown, Atlanta!!

I’m looking to move to Midtown and could use some insight on the apartments I have in mind. It’ll be me, my boyfriend, and our little Yorkie. We actually like where we live now (Dunwoody)—we’re in a 930 sq. ft. apartment paying around $2K plus fees—but my boyfriend just got a new job, and the commute has been tough for him.

Here are the places I’m considering: • Alexan on 8th • Momentum • Ford Factory Lofts • AMLI Atlantic Station • Spectrum • The Farrington

I’d love to hear any thoughts or recommendations you might have!

Thanks in advance,

Moving to Atlanta in March, location/traffic question

Moving to Atlanta in March, will be working in Buckhead and have been looking for a place nearby there. However when I visited last year I really like the Decatur/Avondale estates area. From a traffic perspective, would it be dumb to move to the Decatur area and commute to Buckhead? Or should I keep looking in the Buckhead/North Druid hills area?

Searching for a roommate for a Brookhaven house ($800 rent)

Hi everyone!

I am currently in search of a roommate for a house that I am currently renting in Brookhaven. The house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in great, quiet neighborhood right next to downtown Brookhaven. You will share a bathroom with someone else while I have the master. Rent is $800 + utilities (electric, water and internet). We are about 15 minutes away from downtown Atlanta, Midtown, Virginia Highlands, Buckhead, and right next to I-85. I really love the area and consider my living situation very lucky considering the recent increase in rent in Atlanta. I am currently living with one other person.

A little about me, I am a 27M working in consulting. I love to be outdoors, running and being active is a huge thing for me, and I'm really easy going, very considerate and clean. I am looking for people that are also easy going, considerate, clean, and willing to sign a year lease with me! Please DM me if interested and we can set up a time to meet!

$935 / 2br - 1089ft2 - Looking for Roommate, quiet professional (Cumberland/Vinings) Available immediately

Looking for new roommate, available immediately. 2BR apartment in newish Walton Riverwood Apartments. I'm 40 and have an awesome cat. Quiet but sociable. I'm a mental health counselor and see clients virtually from my room 2 days a week so daytime especially needs to be quiet. I love to cook and you will be a beneficiary.

Not much room for extra furniture outside of your room. I have a large sectional couch and 65" TV.

I am Curious About Your Utility Expenses

I am living in Peachtree Corners in a single bed apartment. My base rent for my apartment is $1350 but I am paying about $1000 in utilities. Is this a normal amount for utilities or am I getting scammed?

Young family (3 kids under 5) - best neighborhoods

Thinking about moving to Atlanta with my family of three young kids. Currently live in Highland Creek in Charlotte and we love it. It's close to lots of food, and has plenty of amenities within Highland Creek such as parks gyms and pickleball. Curious of some neighborhoods that are similar in Atlanta or Metro Atlanta. Budget would be something between 400 and 700 K.

Obviously prioritizing, safety and good schools. But is there anything very similar to Highland Creek?

Apartment Recs

are there any 420 friendly apartment complexes in the battery, howell mill or midtown area? no budget issues, just want peace of mind while smoking.

it also doesn’t have to allow smoking inside the apartment situation. asking for locations where primarily if someone is smoking on balcony it’s not an “issue” to where management is going to say something… based on my research it’s looking like private homes are the way to go where you have a backyard to yourself.

Housing in Atlanta area (coming down from Boston for an internship)

Posting for a friend, he's a student at Northeastern and looking for housing in the below-mentioned areas. His internship will be till the end of August. He's really the nicest most helpful person, and a really chill guy to have around.

Message from my friend:
"I'm looking for a private room with an attached bathroom in an apartment near Smyrna, Cumberland, Vinings, or near Georgia Tech. My budget is $700–$800. I’m also open to shared apartments in these areas.

A bit about me: I’m clean, detail-oriented, friendly, and sociable. If you have any leads or are looking for a roommate, feel free to DM me. Thanks!"

Any leads or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Solidly Built Apartment Complexes

Hey! Does anyone know of any properly built apartment complexes in the city (ideally Midtown-ish or near the beltline (eastside trail)) that don't have issues with being able to hear your neighbours or other noises like the ceiling fan humming through from another unit? I moved over from the UK (from a city where I didn't ever need to consider this!) and have been burned twice already. A lot of them seem to be pretty poorly built. Not sure if this is just par for the course and I'd be better off finding a house, or if more solid builds exist and I just need to keep looking? Any help/tips appreciated!

Brookwood apartments

Does anyone live in or know about Brookwood apartments? Is Brookwood safe, crime? Why is it less expensive than Buckhead when it’s right next door? It’s like it’s sandwiched between Buckhead and Midtown.

$715/month sublease! Old Fourth Ward (f)

Hi! My roommate and I stay in a 3bd 2ba in O4W and will have an open room starting the last week of February. Its on a quiet street about 1 mile from Georgia State and 1 mile from Ponce City Market and near Marta bus&train stops, the beltline, and Piedmont park!

We're both 20yo and are pretty chill people who prefer to stay in usually, as we both keep busy with work/school. Staying a full year would be preferred but not entirely necessary, as long as you communicate your move-out in advance.

Feel free to DM for more info!!:)

Relocating back to my hometown, super nostalgic

👋🏾👋🏾

Will be moving back to Georgia at long last it seems I was always gonna go back to GA in some type of fashion and funny enough it's my spouse and child that made me wanna pick a place we can call home 🏠 for a long time. My work will be hybrid most likely,I'm in the IT industry my current job has an office in Sandy Springs near concourse parkway I believe. I have been researching places like Marietta, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, Kennesaw, Norcross, Duluth, Buford , Smyrna, Dunwoody and Lawrenceville. My range is for rent is 1400~1600 probably. Will probably take my time before I start looking for a starter home somewhere. Nigerian/millennial if that matters. Are there any other areas I need to research on ?

Thanks

Moving to Atlanta, need recommendations where to rent (work in Fulton Industrial Area)

Hi all, I’m moving from Phoenix, AZ to Atlanta for a job and looking for recommendations on what areas to look for apartments. My work is near the Fulton Industrial area. I’m not sure what the traffic patterns are and what are the safe areas.

I have a friend that lives in Kennesaw but that seems like it would be too far of a commute. Ideally I’d like 30-45minutes max. I’m single and in my late 20s(m), ideally I’d like to find a place to rent that has a private garage, but I can live without that. Places with easy freeway access would be nice too. I have a budget of ~1600-1800. I would like to be in a more liberal area with people near my age/young professionals.

Thanks!
