Looking for an apartment in a safe area, in commuting distance to 30339. Budget is flexible.
WFH late thirties single looking for a 1-bed around $1400-$1600. Hobbies include daily walks, coffee, pilates/strength training, and attending art exhibits and local festivals. I'd prefer a culturally/economically diverse, walkable neighborhood (does this exist in ATL?) but as long as there's a park within walking distance, I'll be fine. What neighborhoods would you recommend?

My husband and I are curious about what rental options exist in Atlanta for a 6-8 month lease. We both have good credit. Mine is at 800+ and my husband's is 740+. Our budget is $1600 max and we'd like to be in 20 min driving proximity to Buckhead. Do you guys have any recommendations for where we could look for 6-8 month leases?
(Our current apartment lease ends mid March.)
Edit: we know this might be challenging. Asking if anyone was in a similar situation.
Hey y'all! I'm a soon to be 28F relocating to ATL for a job that will start in January with plans to move in December/January. I work in healthcare and will be commuting to Covington but would rather live closer to the city. Neighborhoods in the southeast closer to I-20 (Grant Park, Reynoldstown, Cabbagetown, Inman Park, O4W, etc.) are what I'm most interested in.
I've lived in apartments for the last several years and am wanting to try a house/townhome (ideally with some sort of yard) if possible. No pets for me but I would love to get a dog in the near future, I wouldn't mind if you had one! More lukewarm on cats but could be convinced.
I haven't had a roommate since college but rents being what they are if I could find another young-ish working professional that is interested in similar areas I would love that! I'm generally quieter and clean/neat. I would be okay with a more cordial relationship but being new to the area I'll also be looking for friends/community so down to be more social. I have all furnishings for living room/kitchen and ideal budget would be ~$1500-2000 per person. If any of that is of interest let me know!
Hey yall, what are good websites to find houses in Old Fourth Ward / Virginia Highland / Poncey-Highland etc? Trying to find a house <$1200 per person (preferably including utilities but willing to go over.) Checked Zillow and Realtor.com already. TIA :)
Can you recommend a city/county in Georgia with low pollution & low crime that is welcoming & safe for diverse people? Is there any place far away from freeways, airports, semiconductor plants & chemical plants (like BioLab)? Thank you!

Hey there,
I'm moving to the general ATL area in January and I'm not sure where I should look to live. I do not have to commute on a regular basis (twice per month, once near airport, once to Woodstock), so I'm not tied to a specific area. I'd prefer to be OTP. I am concerned for safety, as I will be living alone, and also being close to grocery store, small shopping, etc. Hoping to keep my budget under 1300, no roommates. Any recommendations areas/cities I should be checking in? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Hi, so I’m searching for a place for me and my fiance (who works in Vinings). At the moment I only have a part time job so ideally we wouldn’t want to spend more than 1,000 all together (utilities included). Are there any suggestions on what to do and is padsplit a good option? I think their policy is they can’t have more than one person share a room so I don’t know where to look.
Ideally we want to have our own space and I was looking for basements/guest house etc. I’m not sure if anyone has suggestions or anything for rent. 100% willing to meet up, do background checks, send ID, credit score whatever you need.
Unfortunately due to a toxic home life I can’t hold this off any longer and need a place by the end of the month or next month.
I have lived in Stone Mountain, Ga for many years but I recently moved back with my family to finish school. Upon completing school, I will need to do a lot of field work which will hinder my ability to live completely on my own while still maintaining. Therefore, I am in search of a female and male roommate for a possible 4 bedroom home. City TBD. This situation will be ideal for anyone planning to move to Ga within the next 6 months.
About me: I am a SDA, current high school teacher, podcasters and future influencer. I am 420 friendly (socially). I am 40 years of age, women of color/Hispanic, no living children, no dogs as of yet but I am a dog-lover. I am neat, love home décor, clothes, shopping, and driving. I am a bible or religious freak but I am faithful to my faith. I love being outdoors and house-dinner-parties, but I am also an introvert.
It is important for roommate to be professional and have steady income. Person must pass background check. Person must be kind, respectful and able to effectively communicate with others. Ideal for person to be diverse in thinking. Be ok with different music, food, way of thinking and living. Would prefer someone grounded in faith whether that be spirituality or religion. #roommates
Hey guys, I'm helping my bf ask cuz he doesn't use reddit. He is a recent graduate and is going to move to Atlanta soon. Tend to choose an apt in the area of Sandy Spring and now want to hear about any feedback/comments about Alastair at Aria Village. We toured it but have seen some negative comments on Google reviews so wondering if any people currently living there can give advice. and probably we can share the refer bonus if they do that! Thanks so much!
Hey all, my partner and I are planning to move within the next 60 days, and we're having a hard time finding viable options. I have a bankruptcy from back in 2018 that's discharged (parents took out credit cards in my name during college), but it locks me out of a lot of the larger rental companies because of it. Does anyone have leads on how to find independent landlords that might be more flexible? Or rental companies that don't auto-deny for one?

I currently live in Buckhead and my manager suggested I should move somewhere closer. Any recommendations for areas? I am single male and have a car so schools/public transport isn’t a dealbreaker.
Anyone has lived at Hawthorne North Druid Hills apartment building and can share their experiences? I saw their 1-bedroom which seems nice.

I have a 3 year old medium dog. He loves people and cats and select dogs. Millennial teacher’s salary is tough though so ideally like to stay <1200$ total for my/our share.
My dog’s well-being is my top priority and I’m a responsible adult. Just struggling bc it’s hard out here in 2024.
Pretty open to any living situation. Would like to stay within 40 min of 30339. Prefer a private bathroom and yard but those things can be let go for the right situation.
I’ve been on Facebook and I refuse to live in an apartment complex again. Y’all I’m a lady and too old and tired for that.
[IMAGE DESCRIPTION]:A flyer with an image of a Black person wearing a mask. The image has the caption: Brittany (21), they/them. The flyer reads: Urgently seeking covid safe housing in Atlanta GA. I am at risk of losing housing in a month and desperately need to find new housing as soon as I can. If after the next 30 days I am still housed, I still need to move as soon as I can, as I am unsafe in my current housing arrangement. About me: I have both diagnosed and undiagnosed neurodivergency + mental disability. I have a physically disabled 6 year old cat that has moderate support needs. My absolute max that I can afford for monthly rent as of now is $500. 420 friendly and partaker. About you: covid safe behaviors (including but not limited to: routine masking in public, periodic testing as resources allow, limited non essential indoor gathering). Disability justice oriented. Able to effectively and respectfully communicate and/or willing to set up a framework for communication. Black queer or trans or otherwise POC preferred. Sound like you? Let's chat! my updated deadline for my housing search is I need to be moved into a new place by the 31st of December so this is an urgent search. while it is preferred, you aren't required to be a person of color. I've had very bad luck with housing in the past so I would love to talk a lot about the little things to understand our compatibility. covid safe behavior is non negotiable.
Hey all! I would love some feedback regarding moving to Georgia 🍑 My husband (45M) and I (38F) are looking to move anywhere in the state with our three toddlers (ages 2/4/4). I'm originally from Vancouver BC and we are currently living in Olympia WA. The cost of living here is extremely high; also the weather in the PNW sucks and it's so hard to raise three little ones indoors almost year round. We have zero family here and jobs are flexible so we are looking to move to somewhere where the weather is nicer year round, but we also very concerned about school systems since our 4 yr old twins are both autistic (one level 3 severe non-verbal). I think also to note is that our kids are mixed race (white/black) and some of the places we've come across and researched have a demographic of 95% white so we figure we should steer clear... Ultimately we are just looking for a new place to call home where we can raise our kids outdoors more than in, and appreciate things like parks, pools, and the like. We're willing to move anywhere in Georgia so any insight would be very much appreciated! Thanks 😊
