Help me out here, what is this?

This is my first time in Japan. I've been driving around seeing these structures. What are they? They are about 40m tall if not more. They hold up a mesh. Are they some sort of broadcast antenna? I wanted to post this in r/Japan but it doesn't allow images, so I'm hoping someone can help here.

As the rural areas in Japan depopulate it has become a great time to film zombie / post post apocalyptic films! 28日後!

Only in Japan

Only in Japan would you see two adults, having a beer with their arcade prizes.

My wife went over to ask if they were old enough to drink, but sadly they did not speak any English.

A danjiri matsuri in Osaka. I got off at a random station and was walking around when I heard them practicing and took a look, they invited me to come to the actual festival, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences I've had after traveling through Asia for more than 2 years.

So, with the huge success of Godzilla and Ghibli in America this month, in reverse Hollywood appears to be in free fall in popularity in Japan. This seems to coincide well with the recent dearth of originality and quality…
