Welcome to the subreddit dedicated to Negi Haruba's manga:
The Quintessential Quintuplets, or 5 Toubun no Hanayome.
The Quintessential Quintuplets (5-Toubun No Hanayome) is a manga and anime written and created by Negi Haruba.
The manga begins with the main character, Fuutarou Uesugi, at his wedding. Flashing back to his high school days, Fuutarou is at the top of his class. He soon finds himself tutoring quintuplet sisters, one of whom will be his eventual bride.
The series is known for misdirection, dropping hints, and keeping the reader guessing until the very end about which quintuplet Fuutarou chooses.

For those of you who have finished the Anime's first season, chapter 32 is the final chapter covered in episode 12. However, some manga content from that chapter was cut so we recommend starting from the beginning of chapter 32 or even chapter 31 to refresh your memory of how far along in the story you are.

Anyone here has the watch and know how to set the watch? Ive been trying to change it to gmt 8+. There's no manual in the box. Tried to follow the citizen watch tutorial but no luck
I'm watching the anime for the first time to show my brother, but I've read the whole thing before. I know the OVA came out after the movie, but it doesn't like, give away the Bride's identity or anything does it?
Early screening starts November 23
dub>sub 100%
Have only watched the series through the anime and movie. Never touched the manga so maybe they get answered idk.
How does Itsuki know about the photo Fuu kept in his handbook? She took it so confidently when she was dressed as Rena in the boat scene. Fuu never showed that to anyone and I'm pretty sure Nino is the only one who saw it.
Did Fuu meet Itsuki when they were little at Kyoto? I heard some people saying that she was the one that said bye to him at the end instead of Yotsuba. Is this true? Who did he meet in all as a kid?
What was Itsuki talking about when she said she wanted to remind Fuu about the Kyoto trip by taking a photo? Didn't he do that with Yotsuba as a kid?
Ichika said she played cards with Fuu when they were kids but Fuu looked at her and said she was lying. Was this true? People said she did play with him. Did Fuu find out that she was telling the truth?
Did Fuu ever find out who the Quint in the picture was when they were kids?
This looks completely normal tbh 🤣 it just fits
is it just me, or was ichika made into some sort of villian in the second half of season 2. This is the third time in watching the series again, and i am seeing that ichika was actually nice during most, but was made into some sort of person who was tryna manipulate and stuff. Idk, but i think the story would have gone better without having her do that ngl. smh -_-
Never thought I'd see it right away. I didn't have time to look around but since I saw this I had to buy it :)

I genuinely think Miku would have been a much better partner for Futaro than Yotsuba. Miku’s personality aligns more with Futaro’s; she’s similarly “emotionless” and can be a bit reserved, just like him. Futaro can be blunt, and sometimes even a bit mean, but Miku understands that side of him and doesn’t try to change him. Her quiet strength and determination make her a perfect match for someone like Futaro, as they share a similar outlook and approach to life.
Yotsuba, on the other hand, comes across as almost too accepting. She often feels like a “doormat” who goes along with everything, which can be an uncomfortable dynamic when paired with someone as strong-willed as Futaro. There’s something unsettling about a relationship where one person constantly gives in and doesn’t assert themselves; it doesn’t feel healthy or balanced. Miku and Futaro could have created a bond based on mutual respect and understanding, while Yotsuba’s dynamic with Futaro seems less balanced and, honestly, not the best foundation for a relationship.
My history with quints is.. pretty interesting. I've already known about this show since the manga was still ongoing, but never got into it because I wasn't that into harem. Sometime after the manga ended, I noticed some online complaints about the ending on reddit and out of boredom I googled who won, since I thought I wouldn't watch this anyway lol (At the time, I already knew about some characters like Nino and Miku). Now fast forward to just last week, I was getting bored waiting for the current seasonal anime to come out weekly, so I decided to watch this on a whim and intended to slowly finish this series throughout the month. But.. holy shit, I did not expect to enjoy it this much. I finished the entire thing in a week.
Watching this with only the knowledge of who won and literally nothing else was pretty interesting ngl. I don't know how much that contributed to my enjoyment of this series, but I definitely noticed a bunch of hints and I think his choice made a lot of sense. Some thoughts on the bride below:
I've read some people say she didn't do enough to deserve winning but I really disagree (and my favorite wasn't even Yotsuba btw, but Itsuki). Her efforts just weren't in the usual "romantic" sense. Yotsuba was literally by his side since day 1 of his tutoring when no one else was. But more importantly, she was the one who was really actively pushing Fuutaro to "have a life" outside studying and making sure he has a fulfilling high school life without regrets. While of course it wasn't just her alone, I would say she was the "catalyst". She was the one who kept insisting him to really participate in the different school activities and events, which made him care about things outside academics, and even gained new friends, and improve his social standing in class. What makes it more interesting is that, it was her who brought Fuutaro from one extreme (doesn't care about grades) to the other, and it was also her who was trying to balance it out when they met again in high school. To me, all of this is much more significant than a date or chocolates. She was actually actively trying to make Fuutaro into a better person, and vice-versa. I actually think only her and Itsuki felt natural with Fuutaro, the others were too one-sided IMO.
But overall quints isn't just about romance, it's also a coming of age story. I loved how everyone grew and developed their own goals at the end. Anyway I'd give this a 10/10, and the only other romance anime I have with this score is Toradora (which is still my #1 but quints is second in terms of romance anime). I know objectively it has flaws but I enjoyed it way too much to not give it a 10, despite intentionally spoiling myself before. Can't wait for the honeymoon movie.
my current setup.. also have $200+ of merch coming in from japan
Deadpool is a lil silly
