I've played tabletop RPGs for most of my life and my old group isn't getting together anymore. I've been craving a game or play in. I am in my 40s now, which I realize is super old for Reddit, and it isn't easy for older games to find groups to game in. When I was younger, I used to be really involved in my University's gaming group and I found a lot of joy in finding lost gamers and bringing them into the fold, to find them a game.
I love to write back stories for my characters and enjoy when a new concept solidifies on paper and in my head. I have been known to use accents at the table, when I've chosen one for my character. I like to play different classes but I often play Healer or support roles.
I actually live a little outside the city to the east, but I have no issues traveling. Or hosting, once I get to know people.
I set up a 1.16.5 modded Minecraft server with 71 mods to play on.
Looking for adults in the Louisville area interested in playing and hanging out.
Currently, me and my wife play with some friends occasionally popping on.
Hopefully, this doesn't violate self-promotion rules.
I'm gauging interest, but won't be able to onboard people until later this evening when I will be able to post the server information.
What?
We typically run tournaments where the games we play are determined by RNG. Instead, competitors are at the mercy of arbitrarily selected audience members, who will be choosing the game before each match. The entire list of 300 fighting games will be available to choose from. We attempted this format last year, and it was loads of fun.
It's free-to-enter, no prizes, single elimination.
Fight sticks provided. Simply show up and bring a need to push buttons.
Where?
Hideaway Saloon, Bardstown Rd, Louisville KY
When?
Monday, December 19th - Signups begin at 9pm, tournament at 10pm.
Who?
This tournament is provided by Mystery Game Fight Club.
We are also looking to expand our venues in 2023! If you want to see us somewhere that is not Hideaway Saloon, or especially if you are looking to book events for your business, hit me up.
Looking to hold a CSGO Lan party in the coming months. Need to see if we have any fellow csgo players in and around the 502 area.
Hosted by Dripset Esports.
Founded early in May of 2020, DripSet Esports enters the scene in the CS:GO community to compete for World-Class status in (semi)professional comps. With only a few actually members, Team DripSet needs prominent players who want a chance to star on their team for prize money, recognition, etc. If interested please inquire for additional information.

I'm starting back into the hobby, and would rather not have to spend the time and tolls to play in Louisville, so if there's anyone who would be interested in meeting somewhere to play some 40k I'd like to set some goals to meet and play. The new shop in Clarksville has plenty of space, so they could be good to meet play in
Hello!
Recently got into DND and was wondering if anyone has a group but looking for new members to join?
Thanks!
Hey hey 👋🏾. New guy here, just wondering if anyone on here plays Dead By Daylight by chance? I don’t really have any friends that are interested in it and while the game is fun playing with randoms, it could be even better with at least one none rando. I play on PS4 and my PSN ID is TeddieWolfe2KX if anyone would like to add me. I can’t be the only one who plays this game, lol 😭. Sorry for the long post, hope everyone has a nice Friday!
Completely unrelated to the MGFC tournament, I am celebrating the end of a months' long project by holding a tournament on a genuine Primal Rage arcade pcb! It's also my birthday, so there's that.
Hideaway Saloon in Louisville is once again gracious enough to host the event, and I'm planning to start somewhere between 9:00pm - 9:30pm (Earlier in the evening I'll be having dinner with close friends, so it's hard to gauge exactly when the event will start).
The same Hori RAP V's we'll be using in the Mystery tournament will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own controller (stick is advised with Rage's Neg-edge centric control scheme)
After the tournament, the pcb will be available for free play.
Huh?
Every match of the tournament is a different fighting game chosen at random. It could be as new as Phantom Breaker: Omnia, or as old as Joy Mech Fight. Roughly 280 fighting games are represented.
I'm gonna be real with you: I'm not especially picky. If there's two life bars and you can punch each other, it's probably in here somewhere.
Where?
Hideaway Saloon, Louisville.
When?
April 11th, 10pm. That's a Monday night.
How much does it cost? Should I bring anything?
Entry is free. No prizes.
The one thing you should bring is an unquenchable need to push buttons. Arcade sticks are provided. We will be using a pair of Hori RAP V's.
But I probably won't know the games!!!
Yeah - we know. That's on purpose. It levels the playing field for all skill levels, and it's actually more fun that way, we promise. Much less risk of going up against someone who's been grinding Guilty Gear Strive for the last several months, although it's still technically possible.
On that note, controls for each game will be displayed before the game starts, and if there are any special rules, we'll tell you about them beforehand. Wouldn't want you going in completely in the dark (although that's fun, too).
Who is responsible for this mess?
Mystery Game Fight Club is putting on the tournament. I'm the technical half of a two-man team that does this kind of thing whenever we can. We've been regulars at Hideaway Saloon for some years now, but we've also been to Recbar 812, and during Covid lockdown, we even did this exact tournament online over Parsec!
We are on Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, Discord, and Element (the privacy-focused alt to Discord). We're not hard to find. Any questions about this tournament or us, please feel free to comment below or send a message.
Looking for suggestions. I have a friend who sponsored a kid for Xmas and the one thing on his wishlist is a gaming computer. That’s a big ask but she really wants to make it happen, are there any organizations or sponsors that donate to situations like this? Thanks in advance for any ideas!
I know this sub is dead but if any of you want to play Valheim together PM me.
Trying to find 1 to 2 people to join my small group for Pathfinder and other tabletop adventures. No experience required, just looking for people who are interested in having fun and exploring their imagination. Feel free to comment below or message me directly. Hope everyone is staying safe.
This saturday Session Zero for Faerun 5e Campaign LGBTQIA & Sober Friendly Adult Experienced 5e D&D game on Zoom. Saturday 3pm Every Other Week. Starting 1st Level. Hopefully meet in person in a couple months
Hey all!
Is anyone in the area looking to help build a raid/crucible/dungeon clan more or less from the ground up?
I haven't played in something like 37 years, and I had all but forgotten the fun until I recently found it is still in active development. Maybe up for an adventure, Covid style?
I'm looking to find other local people to group and play Valorant with. If you're interested in grouping up, post your name and rank and with any other relevant info and I guess people will add as they please. Also, if there is already a discord or something for this I'd be looking to join.
Hey so a few weeks back I posted that I was looking for a Switch to buy used. Little did I know what a hilarious proposition that was at the time with Coronavirus starting up, but thankfully fate intervened! My little brother heard of my search and offered to sell me his first gen one at well below market value. I even offered him more but he insisted I only pay him $200 for it. He is the best little brother I could ask for, shout out to you bro, love ya man. Anyway, now I'm on the hunt for some games! Seeing as how economics are tight for everyone right now, especially me as I was out of work for a broken leg for almost 2 months before losing my job due to Corona, I thought why not see about loaning each other some games?! I have Splatoon 2 and Arms that my brother got me along with the switch but I have little to no interest in either of them, so what I'm going to do is list games I'm interested in along side games I have, if you'd want to do a temporary trade or swap reply or message me and let me know? Alternatively if you'd want to just rent me a game I'd be willing to work out a fair weekly fee and set up some collateral so you'd be assured of getting your game back. Other people that want to do something similar could reply below with a list of games they have and a list of games they'd like to play?
Own:
Splatoon 2
Arms
Animal Crossing: New Horizons (I'm buying this today, I'd be willing to loan it out starting in 2 weeks)
Want To Play/Swap:
Zelda BoTW
Super-Mario Odyssey
Pokemon Sword/Shield
Dead Cells
Bayonetta 2
TLDR: I got a switch finally but I really don't have money to be blowing on games for it just now, anyone want to work out a temporary trade or rent me a couple games I'm interested in?! Others should feel free to post their lists as well!
Hey anybody else playing this game? I'm trying to find some dudes to trade fossils with and share Turnip profits.
PM me if you want to friend up.
I've been wanting to play DnD for a while, but because of some personal stuff, my first campaign fell through, and I don't have much of anyone to start a new one with. Anyone else fairly new to it or willing to help me get a party of newbies together? (Once we're done social distancing, of course. Or maybe even remotely?)
Looking to buy a Nintendo Switch from someone, if any of y'all have one gathering dust I'd love to take it off your hands. Interested in Pokemon, Zelda, and Mario Odyssey games too. I've been at home for 2 months already with a broken foot, then this stuff hits and I lose the job I was just getting back to! I've gotta get something new to change things up and keep myself from bouncing off the walls. Please let me know if any of y'all can help! I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe and healthy!
I picked the Thorn ship/server. Make sure if you want to play with friends, you pick the same server as they do!
