This is a place to show people your 3D models, whether it be 3d studio max, Blender, Maya, Zbrush, Rhino, Alias, any type of 3D models.
Links to different articles and videos about 3D modeling are highly encouraged, whether it be a great CGI film or an article or new rendering software.
Feel free to post questions or opinions on anything that has to do with 3D modeling. The point is to have a place where we can help each other out.

Skull motif ring I created in Zbrush and rendered with Blender. Sterling silver with 18k skulls, black diamonds, and a moonstone
All video game models have these triangles instead of squares and I'm wondering why this is, I'm assuming it's for optimization reasons however Is there anything else? when I'm done modeling in blender should I triangulate my faces? blender has a feature (I think its ctrl + t) where you can triangulate your faces.

Using blender for about a year now on and off, mostly for abstract art and game asset creation and rigging.
This one I wanted to start off super simple and see where I went with a few things. It incorporates congruent lighting and incongruent geometry, I hope that's observable. I didn't want to focus too much of material work here so it's fairly basic.
Any commentary welcome.
I didn't want to make this too complex, just a simple GFX design of a military character my friend wanted me to make. In my opinion, the sky in the background is horrible, but other than that it came out in the way I wanted. What do you guys think?
hello, I'm new to 3d modeling and I need to convert a model to quad mesh for a project, what software can I use?
Here is a design concept "sketch" I made for my current project. It's a 3D printed enclosure for a full size laptop monitor and some electronics, and it's my first design where I need to have exact dimensions so I have a lot to learn. Here are my big questions:
Due to the screen size this will be a multi part print. What kind of joint or joint/fastener system would connect the parts and still ensure it's durable?
I planned to design this in 4 quadrants to connect, divided into 3 layers; the middle layer would house the electronics, the top would cover the front of the frame and edges of the screen, and the bottom would enclose the electronics in the back of the device. Is there a more intuitive way to design large, multi-part frames?
I'm here to learn, so any information or resources are greatly appreciated, thank you!
I have been having a rough time trying to learn how to model cars and I was thinking of trying something more simple and would be a way to help me learn how to model cars. I’ve been trying to model cars for a year now and I still can’t seem to understand how to do all the right parts on the blueprints. Do you guys have any methods for following blueprints and modeling when you’re modeling an object. The farthest I know is how to use the mirror tool and how to mark seams and lining the blueprints up
Question seems weird so lemme elaborate, i want to make models similar to those of Persona/SMT/Metaphor games for a potential game im making, and id like to be sure of everything i need to know for theis art direction (what type of anatomy, texturing, clothes, hair) precisely is used or should i learn to do to create models like these ? its a bit blurry for me coz i cant exactly say if all is simply modeled/sculpted or that there are specific textures used ? and to me i cant find results im looking for by just looking for "anime 3D body models"
any help would be much appreciated
Hi I am 19yo sorry for my english so I want to become 3d character artist Iam new to this i don't know anything about industry and software basically I am college dropout i don't a have any skill but I used to make 3d clay figure that's why I want to become 3d artist and like my friend say that you don't have to need degree in this industry iam planning to buy pc to start this as self taught but I recently saw many post about howhard this industry is and it's sucks i am planning to invest my 2 year but kind afraid after seeing many nagative post and many are saying that 3d modeling only good as hobby but not good as career
