This is a place to show people your 3D models, whether it be 3d studio max, Blender, Maya, Zbrush, Rhino, Alias, any type of 3D models.
Links to different articles and videos about 3D modeling are highly encouraged, whether it be a great CGI film or an article or new rendering software.
Feel free to post questions or opinions on anything that has to do with 3D modeling. The point is to have a place where we can help each other out.

Hello all,
First off, let me just state that I am an absolute beginner, I have not the faintest clue about how to use CAD, but after seeing all the creative stuff that you can model, I am considering learning it as a hobby.
How rewarding is it personally for you guys to be able to craft models of your choice, and of course when it is finally complete? Do you get intense satisfaction and fulfillment? As a teenager who doesn’t really do anything productive, I am hoping to develop a hobby which gives me feelings of productivity and accomplishment.
Also, how long would you estimate it would take to learn CAD, and what software would be the most beginner friendly? I am hoping to be able to pick up basic modelling skills in a few weeks time, which brings up the question, where should I start to learn?
Lastly, what are some tips that you believe are essential or beneficial for beginners to know about, and why would they be useful?
Thank you, all appreciated!

So, as the title says, I got an internship offer after a talk at the company.
However, the way the company works, it’s the responsibility of all interns to prepare lunch and clean up afterward. The company likely has a maximum of 50 people, and it’s unclear how many other interns there are (but probably not many).
The company itself and its work seem really good, but this threw me off. I know the market is tough right now, so I honestly don’t feel like I have much choice but to accept it, as it might lead to a job afterward, but that’s just me hoping.
In your opinion, if the company asks this of me, what would your recommendation be: to take or not to take the internship?
Hello everyone,
I’m facing an issue where my Huion tablet’s pen pressure is not working in Substance Painter, and I’ve tried several steps to fix it without success. Here’s what I’ve attempted so far:
Has anyone else experienced this problem with Huion tablets and Substance Painter? I’ve tried multiple solutions but can’t seem to fix it.
I feel like this issue might be more widespread, so I’m hoping someone has found a workaround or a definitive solution. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance!
The app is completely Free with no pay walls. It lets you upload your 3D creations and share it with the world. People can see and visualize the objects in real world using their phone camera.
This is my first app and I am sure it needs a lot of work. Looking for feedback, improvements and suggestions, your input means the world to me.
App is called "AirVis" : Available in App Store for iOS and MacOS.

I've been running into a problem while rendering a scene in Blender (both 4.2 and 4.3) lately. Said scene is not complex at all. It's a simple animation, there's barely more than 60.000 polygons in it, I'm rendering in 2048 samples in Cycles with the Noise Threshold set to 0.1 to speed things up. I set the max light bounces to 2, I'm rendering with my GPU and I'm using OptiX since I have an RTX 4060. I set the tile size to 512 (according to Blender Guru that's the best the best size for rendering with my specs) and the camera res is 1920x1080.
And yet my PC keeps freezing completely after rendering 2-3 frames.
I made stress tests, but nothing shows up. The only thing I noticed is that the GPU and Memory (64 GB RAM) reach full power limit even when Blender is only open, but doesn't crash until I start rendering (I'm using Afterburner to check that). The temperature doesn't exceed 45°C.
I have a high-end PC. I use it regularly to play heavy games. Even Unreal Engine works flawlessly. Blender does too in the Viewport, it only causes problems while rendering.
Should I start rendering with both the GPU and CPU? Am I doing something wrong? Is it worth mentioning that I'm using a Volume Scatter node in the World shader?
Any kind of help is appreciated.
I am looking to make some simple animation sequences with existing 3D models. My company has solidworks & fusion 360 product models and I would like to make animations of these products to use in marketing videos. Simple things like rotating around the product, or having some pieces of the product move while I pan or zoom.
I have no experience with 3D modeling software but I can usually pick up new softwares easily. I am proficient in most of the main Adobe products (Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) as well as some other video/graphics editing. I have limited experience with solidworks.
I know there are options for creating animations in solidworks and I assume fusion360 as well, but I wanted to ask here if anyone has any suggestions for the simplest way for me to do this type of animation with an existing asset. On my computer I have adobe creative cloud but I’m willing to install additional software.
Hello, I’ve decided that I’d like to change my job and become a 3D artist. About six months ago, I started learning the basics of modeling in Blender and tried to find a style I’d like to focus on. A month ago, I finally made a decision: I’d like to specialize in HardSurface modeling.
So, I’d like to ask, if I want to work in this field, what skills should I learn? I believe they might include topology, modeling, UV unwrapping, and texturing. Is there anything I’m missing?
Also, I’d like to ask about career opportunities in HardSurface modeling. Is there something like a concept artist role in 3D? I’m sorry if this is a silly question, but I’d like to learn as much as possible. Unfortunately, I don’t have anyone around me I could ask about this.
I also have a question about a portfolio. Should the portfolio follow a consistent style, such as HardSurface? Is it better to include wireframe renders to showcase topology?
Thanks for any tips.
Have a nice day!
I have a 3D scan but when exported as a STL or OBJ it is only a shell. Is there any way to make this a solid object? Any recommendations on scanner apps that would do this automatically? or a way to fill the shell in a modeling program?
I am working on a project involving 2D planes as elements, which should fool the viewer to seem like a 3D object. In this instance, I want to cast a shadow of a flower on a 3D ground, which doesnt exist, which is being simulated by a 2D plane in the background.
Google-ing doesn´t help, nobody seems to have the same exact situation like me. I know you could render the shadow as a extra output and comp the video of the flower without shadow and the shadow render to one video, but this seems simpler to me, as I try to optimize my workflow.
I currently work in Blender 4.2.1 LTS / EEVEE and cant change that, please keep that in mind.
