30-day meditation challenge! A chill place to challenge yourself and improve your practicce. Keep on meditating and best wishes!
This is a subreddit dedicated to daily meditation practice. Typically people promise to meditate every day for a certain period of time (like 30 days) and post their daily meditation times and experiences. Let us know how you found us!
GENERAL GUIDELINES: when we begin, pick a length of time you feel you can commit to every day. Now could be a good time to add, gradually or all at once, minutes to your practice if you have one.
If you're brand new, it's a good idea to start small, maybe 5-10 minutes, and add 5 minutes each week. Don't do too much; don't do too little. You know what's right for you.
POSTING GUIDELINES: by all means, discuss problems, ask questions, and bring up confusions. That said, meditation is an internal experience, and it's somewhat detrimental to your practice to try to describe in words each and every sensation that comes up. So feel free to simply check in with how many minutes you sat for each day.

Had a long day at work. Sat for 15 mins. I had whole body tingling for a brief stretch in the middle. Once it settled, I felt settled. Interesting stuff.
Had the day off. Sat for 15 mins. Session felt peaceful.
Chill day. Sat for 15 mins. Session felt ok. Still feel pretty rusty.
Had the day off. Slept in. Watched my team lose badly in American football. Sat for 15 mins. Session felt solid. Some peace, some restlessness.
Sat for 15 mins today. Session felt rusty. Very restless.
I have multiple things on my plate and it's very difficult for me to just sit at one place and get something done.
I'll use this space and challenge to see if there's any difference in the amount of time I can work without being distracted. It's currently less than 5 minutes. Wish me luck 💀
I have been insanely busy. Too many jobs and too many trips. I'm exhausted. I had to work today but I forced myself to sit at the end of the day. 15 mins. I felt rusty. Had a hard time getting into the flow.
2x20 min each day except one. Been hectic here and I did miss one of the days.
2x20 min. Actually got to sit early for once, it'd been awhile! Lots of energy and focus though not without some physical struggle at the en. Also got some more bad news but taking it okay.
2x20 min each day. Yesterday's felt good despite some physical distractions, today's I felt worn down. I can't sit earlier or later so I have to roll with it.
2x20 min. The time really got away from me today, session seemed to go by very quickly!
2x20 min. Late session, tired but doing well.
2x20 min, then 4x20 min. Lost someone close to me, and their shocking parting likely will make things get really truly bad for my family on top of things, but at least I could sit. Couldn't really do much else.
Had a little bit of time in between two work shifts. I'm exhausted but I sat for 15 mins. Session was peaceful but restless.
2x20 min each day. Late night sessions but not a lot I can do about it at the moment.
2x20 min. Missed yesterday, was necessary I was out and am paying for it.
I sat yesterday and today for 15 mins. Today's session felt restless. Like I was ready to move on.
2x20 min each day. Thankfully been sitting when I can, though I did miss yesterday but was able to sit 4 sessions today.
Please feel free to use this check-in thread with commenting if there's any reason you don't want to start daily threads for yourself (for example, maybe you can't sit daily, you just want to test out a period of sitting shorter than 30 days, or you just don't want it to pop up for subscribers). I'll still be monitoring this thread but I'll keep personal comments to a minimum unless requested. Best wishes for your practice!
