Sold only in latin america and exported to europe under the name CBF250, all are made in brasil
They are not rare, and were made from 2002 to 2015 at least in argentina, they are also pretty well built with an understressed 250cc DOHC engine making but 22 hp.
It is the most important thing my dad and uncle left behind
Hey guys, considering buying my first bike. It’s a 2012 250r. The dude is asking 2200$. Cosmetically, the bike is clean. The only thing is miles. He says 80k. I need opinions, buy it or stay away?
Hey, just got an 04 Crf250r, had a blown engine so I did a full top and bottom end rebuild, got a stock crank but went with a 3mm over sized big bore kit from cylinder works. Everything I have read online says it’s supposed to work with everything else stock but I’m have a huge problem setting the timing. I got all the marks set perfectly but it’s still not running right and back fires like crazy. I have no stuck valves or out of spec springs, they were all inspected when I was rebuilding it. If anyone has dealt with something like this before lmk what you did, or if you have any ideas of what i could do or know how much I should advance or retard the timing would help a lot. Thanks!
Sequel to my previous post. Got it running. Clutch wont engage and will only go into first and neutral. Not sure what to do and dont want to completely pull the motor again. Any solutions?
Hi I need help asap I went to look at a venox 250 today off someone on Facebook, the owner of the bike died 2 years ago and the bikes just been sitting, the battery was dead but when I jump started it it was idling fine but as soon as I touched the gas it turned off. My assumption is that it’s the old gas in it, I’ve put it on to trickle charge so I can go look again tomorrow but any advice so that I can get it running and drive home?
I drive a derbi senda xtreme 2017. I'm curious if it came with the stock sprockets. Google isn't giving me a concrete answer. My derbi is running 11-65.
Would anyone know the sizes for the oil filter o-ring and crush washer used with the oil drain bolt? Based on what I saw in this video the bolt is 17mm, so I would get the corresponding 17mm washer, but wanted to double check. Could not find anything on sizing for filter o-ring. I did find the part numbers on various sites but none included actual specs/dims. Thanks!
Recently bought a 2004 CRF250r not running. I think its more than what the seller said was wrong or I did something wrong. Its back together enough to start and when I kick it over nothing happens. It has spark and compression, but no gas is getting into the cylinder. Gas gets into the bowl, its rejetted, I dont know what it could be. Any tips or help will be greatly appreciated.
I just took a ride about 20min came back straight started to smoke
A friend sent me this a couple days ago and said that was the last time his bike ran. We want to make it alive again by ourselves, but both of us are not mechanics with that much experiences and don't know where to start. We both don't want tearing apart an engine aimlessly and potentially not finding what's wrong, so any guesses will be so much of a help.
Any model is fine, so long as it has a clean title. The bike needs to have an upright riding posture. I can't do leaning forward (crotch rockets) or backwards (ape hangers) because I have a broken neck. See my other posts for details, or just ask specific questions. I'm easy.
I am looking to purchase an oem xr250r exhaust from the year 1996 and up, a previous owner took a cutting torch to the inside of the exhaust on the 250r I bought which made it way too loud. If anyone has upgraded to an aftermarket exhaust and has one laying around please let me know. Thanks!!
I was recently gifted a Honda Trail 125. The person who gave it to me managed to blow the motor on it. I decided I want to do something very unique with it and do a micro-diesel build. I have the stock motor removed. I could just use some help finding a small diesel motor to use for the build. I am having very little luck finding one. Thanks
Hey ive got a 04 crf250r just wondering how i would go about checking the bushings/bearings on the top and bottom of my rear shock to see if they need replaceing?
I'm currently a 2nd-year uni student and I'm planning on getting a Honda CBR 150R later this year and I was planning to modify it down the road but my knowledge about bike is next to none so it would be helpful if I could know what modifications is compatible/work best with it
Hey, I bought this thing from the 3rd owner who said he got it about 4 months ago and it didn’t run the entire time he had it. He believed there was an electrical issue. My friend and I went to check it out (he has some knowledge on bike as I do not). We attempted to push start it and whenever we would dump the clutch it wouldn’t turn over. My friend and a few other people believe I have a seized motor. I guess is it worth it attempt to rebuild the motor myself, have someone rebuild the motor for me, or buy a used working motor? Thank you!
I have a 2018 Honda 250r that starts and idles to tem with no problem but as soon as I start to ride the bike dies and locks up the wheel any help is appreciated since this is a almost brand new bike with less than 50 hours on it

Hi! I’ve never ridden a motor cycle before but I know I’m definitely going to peruse it. Have any tips for where I can learn to ride? Or should I buy a used 250 r and learn to ride in that?
I was wondering if anyone could help diagnose what’s potentially wrong with my bike.
I hadn’t rode it in around a month so I was expecting a dead battery. The bike didn’t start when I turned the key. All the dash lights came on and everything else worked. However, when you turn the key i think it’s the fuel pump? That you can hear starting. It was not doing that.
I gave the battery a charge and checked it but it was fine.
After putting the battery back in, it was the exact same. Does anyone have any idea on what to check?
I have a Suzuki GN125, and getting a japanese standard size piston was impossible (Not from US btw). So i had to resort to getting a chinese one.
I know quality varies so much between chinese manufacturers. So, how do i know if its decent? And if it isnt, what effects will if have? Will i have to replace it sooner? Will it explode my cylinder? Thanks!
