POST A QUESTION

Just as the title says, I tested the wifi strength prior to setting up my desktop to make sure the wireless signal reached where I wanted the computer and it worked great. Full signal, good speeds. Once I set up my pc, it can barely detect there even is a wifi signal. I must have set it up right on the edge because it will show up, but be too weak to connect, then fully disappear. I'm currently sitting at the desk using my phone on wifi, so I know it isn't the wifi signal and most likely the internal adapter that is the problem.

I am curious what my options are. I can't move the pc closer, I'm staying in a family members guest room for a while so my options for placement are limited and this is the closest outlet. And I can't connect using an ethernet cable. Would purchasing a router to put on my desk solve the issue? Or is there a better option I'm unaware of?

The modem is a starlink modem, beyond that I don't know much, and the current wireless adapter in my pc came with the computer so I'm not sure it's model either. Up until now I've never used it, I always hardwired to the modem.

I was playing GTA 4 on steam until it suddenly closed and then I got this error.

After adding another Ethernet device to the network via a switch that is attached to the main router, the internet barely works. On some devices (IOT devices, it will not work at all) A second router won’t connect at all.

Hello, I was trying to find the best settings to use for GTA IV so I used a website called canyourunit. I thought it would give me a menu of what I was using to determine the settings but instead it downloaded and EXE file. I ran the file then permanently deleted it. (NOTE: My Norton Antivirus did not detect anything but I still don't trust it)

I got a new prebuilt MSI CODEX gaming pc and it already blew up. I had it running for about 2 hours, downloading games and software and everything seemed fine and dandy until I loaded up into a valorant match. Round 2 into the match, my screen went black and I instantly looked over towards my PC to see what happened when all of a sudden a ton of yellow sparks fly out of the PSU, specifically near the power supply port. I tried to turn it back on a couple minutes later but nothing happened. I tried plugging in another computer and it worked so it's not the chord. I did nothing to the computer other than instantly replacing the 4060 that was in it with a 4060 ti. The PSU was a 650W gold so there shouldn't have been a problem with the small upgrade that I did. If anyone has an idea of why this may have happened please let me know, thank you.

I’m in urgent need of assistance. I have a SanDisk SSD, model SDSSDE61-1T00-G25, and I’ve forgotten the password. This SSD contains critical data that I need to access as soon as possible. I've looked through various resources but haven't found a clear method tailored to this model for resetting the password without losing the data.

Does anyone have experience with this kind of issue or know of any tools or methods that can help with password recovery for this specific model? Quick and effective solutions would be greatly appreciated as I am on a tight schedule to retrieve the data.

I have been quite busy and don't really check my emails too much until recently and I came back to find out my Microsoft account has been almost fully hacked, the password is different the alternative email is gone and the alternative phone number has been changed I don't know how this happened but I wanna change it back, can someone please help me I need this back.

So around a couple of months ago my pc just started randomly turning off at first it started to randomly turn off once it reached 30% and now it's starting to turn off at 70% idk if it's a virus or just a problem with my old laptop i did a scan using avast and it said that there was no malware but im not sure to trust it

I have tried so much and nothing has really worked for me that I have found.

I recently discovered a laptop i had which i dont know the password too. I purchased a software that can bypass windows passwords called “isumsoft” (personal version) i tested this software on my windows 11 desktop and windows 10 laptop both of which the software worked on. When I tried it on the windows 11 laptop it have me a error saying that windows isnt being detected. I messed with the boot order in the bios but nothing has worked. I sent this email to their support team but have not heard back. Please help if anyone can.

I recently reinstalled windows 10 via USB flash drive and haven't ejected it since. I am particularly worried about Volume 7. It is of the "removable" type but it is labelled UEFI_NTFS, which seems very important. Maybe I am overthinking it but I just want to be safe.

I want to know if it is safe to remove the flash drive at this point. Thank you for your help.

HI! I'm an intern photographer and I recently took over a 1000 pictures at a concert. To turn in our photos we will take the edited and exported Lightroom images from our desk top, drag the folder over to the dropbox link and upload it. This time, I did absolutely nothing different, I didn't change any settings at all etc. the pictures when I try to upload them to drop box either sit in the queue or refuse to even upload at all. can anyone help? This event was really important.

So I was transferring files from my sd card to laptop but after around 1hr it's only 4% complete I don't know if is it my sd card corrupted or is it another problem.

Hi I'm currently having an automatic repair loop and I've tried everything youtube and Windows has recommended from using command prompt, to trying a restore point, and trying to reset my pc which all have failed I do not know if I have a faulty drive I checked bios and it does show up so if anyone can help I would be forever appreciative

I wanted to reinstall windows 10 and I bought a 16 GB USB flash drive to make a media creation tool. I used Rufus 4.4 to burn the ISO file on the flash drive.

Why is it in two partitions? I only have one flash drive and really don't want to mess something up. Thank you for your help.

Laptop sometimes doesn't turn on;

sometimes the fan stop spinning, and the PC goes black, but is still on;

sometimes everything looks fine, I run a stress test, 100% load, for 30 mins or so, the temperature is at about 70°C, but eventually it goes black;

Or I see green and purple lines and then black screen.

When I noticed, that the fan stops spinning, I thought, the fan is faulty > APU gets hot > errors.

Bought a replacement fan, changed the thermal paste, same result.

What can I do, if anything. Or is it just for the waste bin now?

Hey, I'm trying to listen to music but my right earbud won't turn white. It is staying blue which indicates it is charging, even while out of the case. Nothing I try is working.

When I put my laptop in sleep or close the laptop and then try to wake it up by pressing any key, moving the mouse or pressing once on the power button the screen stays black. But if i press long on the power button to turn it of and than turn it back on I can use the laptop as normal.

The weird thing is if I connect a second monitor the problem disappears.

What can I do to resolve this problem?

Hp specter x360 14 Windows 11

I was playing LoL last night when all of a sudden the client crashed. I restarted my computer and it was stuck on the blurry screen after the login. Wasn’t able to log in. I did a full reset on my computer and now it is stuck on 94% update for about 6 hours. I’ve turned it off and turned it back on again twice in the last 2 hours but it is still stuck at 94%. This is a new computer (a month old).

Computer specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz, NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti, 1TB NVME Gen4 SSD, 32GB DDR5 RAM RGB, 850W GOLD PSU, 360mm AIO, 11AC Wi-Fi, Windows 11 Home 64-bit

My PC is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M720T running Windows 11 Pro and the GPU is a Nvidia Quadro K620. Since installing it, the monitor either will not wake once in sleep and I have to restart the PC, or it wakes very slowly.

So far I have tried:

• Updating the GPU firmware and drivers
• Changing the BIOS default to PCIe 2.0
• Disabling ULPS
• Reinstalling Windows

I would really appreciate any advice!

Hi, so I basically bought a Samsung tablet for my school and they have installed a software to restrict access. However, my school has ended and i basically tried factory resetting it and now Im stuck in the google setup page and cant get past it. So, it seems my school has removed the software today. Will I be able to get past the setup page now since its been removed? (I haven't opened my tab yet.)
