This is 12T Seagate drive (this model) and its new. but its making abnormal clicking noises during operation (Playing a high resolution Movie file) also when booting the pc i hear it a lot. i wanted to ask is this normal? or this disk is going to die sooner than expected? i used Seagate "SeaTools" software and it passed the tests...

I’m just unsure whether this damage has caused the wire to unsafe, any help would help appreciated.

So i was playing the sims 4 and it was running slow so i decided to run the program as administrator. I tryed to open it but that error popped up. I am the admin for the computer. I went into properties again and the option to make it not an admin is not showing up. Ive uninstalled the simms and reinstalled it. I reset my computer but i dont know what to do. Can someone help me?

Everytime I boot my pc up the internet says connected and secured but when I open websites and apps it says no internet or offline and it’s only for my pc no other devices I’ve tried pings dns flush ipconfigs netsh etc yet it wont work someone please help.

Okay, this happens once every blue moon, but it's getting tiring. There were times when this icon would flood the "Show more" portion of the taskbar, times when only a couple times it'd show... but each time it does, I can't really do much to inspect because it fades immediately. The second I hover over, poof, gone. I've run Windows Defender, I've run Malwarebytes... nothing. I've tried to look at processes, nothing that looks weird. I've also installed (today, 'cos it happened again) Process Explorer, I've tried looking at the Event Logger, I've gotten LastActivityViewer... but nothing with that icon seems to show up. I've found a post on the Microsoft help that shows it, too, but no real help was given- just "restart, see if it appears, boot in safe mode if it does, if it shows even there clean up your PC". I'll link the picture that was posted in there and share a couple of pics of my own; I took a screenshot time ago when it showed up about 9 times at once, I've taken a screenshot today, and I've tried to use some AI tool to zoom in the picture to try and "upscale it" (then I had to paint over it to make it more like it 'cos of course it was so tiny that there was no way it could've got it right).

Has anyone ever seen it? Any clue what it might be?

I've looked it up and tried the mute 119 enter trick and it didn't work, and although I did manage to guess the pin me and my roommate are worried that will alert the hotel if we mess with it. Is there a solution anyone has?

Hey guys I was playing osrs on my pc and both of my monitors went black. I restarted my pc and they wouldn’t turn on still. Power cycled and everything. I let it sit for a day and then they worked fine but now it freezes every 10 minutes or so

Okay so I got a problem with my motherboard, it’s brand new gigabyte b760m ax ds3h ddr4 micro atx, so when I turn it on the cpu led debug thing and the ram debug led keeping flashing between them, I’ve tried taking the cpu out and making sure it’s in correct which it is and tried putting the ram in different slots won’t work, and there is no display please help, my cpu is a i7 12700 12th gen my ram is Kingston fury 2x8

In the motherboard manual it appears +5v on one of the pins. Is that the positive? I have put that pin to match the red wire. That is the positive one, right?

The speaker works, but I'm afraid I put it in the wrong orientation.

Hi Idk what happened to my laptop it was working fine few days ago now every game I play getting fps Drops like every few seconds it will drop to 40 then go back to 60 it's happening in every game I resetted my laptop downloaded windows again yet no fix I tried riva tuner 60 fps fix Not working

I just found my IPad is been years since I used it and I was able to get into the homepage since I remember the passcode to unlock it. I even was able to get my hotspot to connect since It was having trouble with my regular wifi (assume the software is out i of date) but I have lots of pictures there that I want to back up (the iPad is very much in a poor condition, cracked and bent and I’m surprised it even turned on to be honest ) so I want to just move the pictures but not sure exactly how.

I forgot the iCloud password but there’s no option of my to ‘forget password’ or to sign in manually. What can I do?

For some context, this all started when I took my computer out my bag and opened it up to a blue screen with an error signal. I was confused because I'm always careful with it and it hadn't collided with anything or been dropped etc so I restarted it and it turned back on which I thought was good and had probably fixed the issue. However, I later tried to watch YouTube and the speakers weren't working, I've gone through all the settings and they should be working properly, I (stupidly) dismissed this thinking I could just take it to IT at Uni and they'd be able to fix it, but then tried to open Rhino 8, which is now crashing every time I try to open it as in it closes as soon as the opening screen has loaded, the same thing is happening with Keyshot 11 and though I can use Solidworks I can't add in photo view 360 to render anymore. Final thing is only one of my USB sticks now works, it works in all USB ports so they're not dirty/damaged and the other USB sticks are working on my classmate's laptops so they're not the problem and I'm losing my mind.

I took it to the IT department and they have no idea what's going on. Any idea what could be going on?

My problem is after trying to connect a ssd with a working Linux system on my other laptop it give me some message. The message I have not able to read all because is flash to fast. But I think he says something about xen hypervisor and after that it won’t turn on at all. About the display nothing appears No Bios, No the brend logo, nothing. but there is light on display when power button click and the Esc & Caps have light too but don’t respond they stay light up. Besides that everything work when power button click - fan, ram, SSD etc.

Some troubleshooting I have tried:

Tried to boot with windows noting comes up.

Remove CMOS Battery.

Power without battery.

Adding external RAM because this laptop has soldered one.

connecting with external display with HDMI.

What I have not tried is updating the bios via USB, because I don't know how to do it for this laptop.

if someone can guide me I will be grateful.

On a beautiful clear day I opened the laptop and the screen didn't come on, it was black, I was very scared but I noticed that if I open the screen all the way then you can actually see a little bit of what is happening on the screen. I connected it to a computer monitor via HDMI and it works great.

I tried to read tips on how to solve the brightness problem with a google search but nothing helps.

The thing I'm thinking about is replacing the screen, but then I thought maybe the problem isn't in the screen itself, maybe in the connection or even in another part of the damaged hardware that even replacing the screen won't help.

Have any of you experienced this problem with your screen? Does such a problem depend on other hardware parts of the computer?

Hello everyone. As of recently i got myself into a stupid situation, because of my own stupidity,

Couple of days ago i got hacked, many of my accounts from Instagram to my Microsoft account got deleted, my steam almost got stolen as well, but luckily i managed to save that.

So, yeah i got hacked and i believe its because i downloaded something i shouldn't have to, from Ryuugames (dot) com. Yes, i know -- judge me, i deserve it to be fully honest.

And i want to clean install my PC, cuss I'm not sure where the virus and what not i got is. so the smartest decision is to clean install, but every time i try i have issues with it. if i try to clean install it from setting, by recovering to how the computer was, when i got it.

and by downloading win11 and installing that from.

Both of the option i get issues, first i get the blue screen after the PC restarted saying there has been some issues and it cannot be recovered.

Second -- when i try to download win11 again, it says that i have no space in my root folder or something recovering partition, im not really sure.

I hope somebody can help me, im sorry for the countless mistakes writing this and i know that i sound like a retard, im not exactly someone who can be considered "tech savvy" so apologies for that as well.

How do you all deal with anexity?

When I hover over the audio icon in the taskbar it says “no audio device installed.” I’ve tried a couple things like updating the driver etc. I’m stumped any ideas? It’s a Lenovo Legion 5.

I have been having problems with a 2019 MacBook Pro and I have had it taken to have its battery replaced and they have shows me this photo saying this wire is been added and they can’t fix it does anybody even know what this part is and any possable explanation I have also had the screen replaced a few years ago

I've noticed that some of my games are heavily pixelated on specific stuff, like transparent objects, effects and sometimes hair (as shown in the image). I know part of the problem is the low quality settings and 1366x768 resolution i'm using, but this also happened on Devil May Cry 5, a game i can play on max settings. My PC has a Ryzen 5 4600g and i'm using integrated graphics. My monitor is also quite old, 2008-2010s old. Any ideas? Thanks

This litterally just happened and im lowkey freaking out because I can't afford this at all right now. I was playing minecraft and listening to a spotify podcast when I suddenly hear some kind of noisy sound error. I first thought its something with the headphones since the cable has been giving me trouble. However as I check to no avail, the sounds start getting louder to the point where they drown out everything. A noisy crunchy static sound. I tried unplugging the headphones but it still went on, first the same as with the headphones but soon not at all anymore, the audio died and the audio controls became laggy and unresponsive.

My first instinct was doing a hardware scan, I used Lenovo vantage for that so it's probably not that thorough, however the test said everything was fine. I also checked my hardware status but load, clock and temps were all ok.

First I did a restart and nothing changes, still the same noise when plugging the headphones in, trying to record it with audacity didn't work ether, however the speakers ceased functioning completely. Also as I restarted there was a rythmic sound of the same nature, just tik tik tik tik every second or so, but not continuously as with the headphones.

Next I tried updating the nvidia driver since I had an issue with random gpu crashes for about a year now and I currently was testing wether an older driver would work. Still though even with the new driver installed the issue persisted, also the same rythmic sound when booting up, even though I had my speaker sound dialed down at that point.

I'm really freaking out about this right now, I do 90% of my creative work and hobbies on my computer or at least with it, I can't afford a new one at all and this just came completely out of left field. The system is barely four years old and it worked completely fine up till now.

As I have mentioned I am also experiencing random GPU crashes under the error nvlddmkm 153 (I also checked for any errors when this started and nothing was out of the ordinary) I have been troubleshooting that error quite actively for a couple of months now and everything pointed toward it being software related and not hardware so I doubt that the same thing caused this. However I did a fair bit of tinkering in order to try and fix the crashes so maybe something I did there is the culprit? Please if anyone can advise me on what to do next I really need this to not be a terminal diagnosis.

My laptop (HP) has started glitching, I tried opening it and turning it on like I do everyday at around the same time.

Two days ago, however, when I tried to turn it on it only flashed every 10 seconds or so.

I turned it off unplugged the charger and waited abit, tried again and it worked.

It did the same thing yesterday, I plugged it in tried turning it on and only getting flashes. Unplugged it and fixed it like they do on the Russian space station/ref and it worked.

Today I went to plug it in and turn it on, but tried without plugging it in first and it worked.

Charging works normally, so I don't think that's the issue.

So what is?

I can still single-click on things by lightly tapping anywhere on the touchpad, but to click-hold and drag (as when you highlight a piece of text on a website) I can only do it by holding down right in the dead center and moving my other finger around it. But this is tricky and inconsistent.

I also notice if I try to click-hold over a Chrome tab using the edge of the pad, it acts as if the cursor is just idling there, and doesn't change tab when I release.

This is a Lenovo laptop if that helps

So my family got a 500 bucks power efficient laptop with a ryzen 5 7520U (kinda feel scammed on that one) and I've realized since the first days that it makes this weird pop sound coming from the left of the laptop. It does this when I open a new tab, when I unpause the preview while editing, when unpausing vids or movies (in a browser), when notifications come up, and even when I hover over tools in Photoshop. Sometimes it even seems like it's just doing it randomly. When I put my earphones, the popping sound kind of stops, and the weirdest thing is that I've heard the popping sound coming from the earphones too (only once). When I mute the laptop, the sound doesn't occur again, and the only time the sound has occured whilst wearing earphones is when I heared it from the earphones themselves.

Also another thing that worries me, is that when a notification comes up, the screens color starts flickering. It looks like it is switching from the original colors to the calibrated ones. It also flickers randomly sometimes and I've had two occasions where the screen has went black for a milisecond.

Form what I see none of these things affect performance.
