What should be the next add on ?
What brand/model of hardshell cases (i.e. Pelican, etc) do you guys use and recommend to fit a full-sized 1911 in with the cutouts for the Pistol itself as well as at least 2 extra magazines?
As for the foam cutouts - they can be pre-done for the 1911 itself (I believe that there are places that sell these for specific cases) or modular (meaning that you pluck out what will make everything fit).
Looking for good inside fit, solid protection and safe locking.
Thanks in advance!!
Filed to fit. We'll see if an difference in a day or so.

My two. 38 sup.
Love the kimber two tone look. But I hear kimbers aren’t good anymore. Is there a 1911 style two tone clean looking gun that is lefty compatible (safety can be switched…I don’t mind the trigger finger mag release) Preferably under 1000. Just a once in a while carry gun for formal occasions.
Is SA 1911 operator good purchase or waste of 1k?
Hello,
First time posting in this Sub, today I went around some FFL’s and I stumbled upon a ‘Colt Custom’ ELCEN Series, done by Lew Horton (Government.) The asking price was $3,000. The manufacturer date is 2001. Can someone tell me who Horton is or was. Are they worth the extra money and are they like special or some sort of collectible?
Thanks.
Best 1911 for everyday carry?
I finally used mild Locktite to keep the spacer in place against the frame.
So I just picked up one of these and took it out shooting just to make sure it works. First box of ammo shot great then the second box I started to have feeding issues. It would get caught up on the feed ramp and or caught on the lip of the barrel. This a common issue with 1911’s I know mine is on the cheaper side but I’m 100% new to these guns. I was shooting stellier&bellot 45acp 230gr fmj
Sig 1911 .22lr. I feel like this front sight shouldn't move this easily, any advice on how to tighten it??
