Hey guys.
So I have been on a calorie deficit for around 56 days or so. I am eating 1.4k calories a day and it hasn’t been horrible. Gone from 90 to 81kg but that was my previous cut.
Haven’t managed to lose anything in my current 56 days I believe, only started weighing myself daily very recently although I understand we fluctuate.
Anyway to the point, I aim for 130g of protein because I’m trying to put on muscle and lose body fat. I just recently started to consider that sugar may be my issue. I eat 1,400 calories a day but upon checking my tracking, easily hit 60-80g of sugar per day due to snacks I have since I’m out a lot.
I decided I would try to stick to 35g a day. Can I get some guidance on the importance of sugar when trying to lose body fat and if this will potentially make a difference? I know all bodies are different but just needed some opinions.
Thanks!
Edit: I weight lift about 3-5 times a week and only started doing cardio super recently, either stairs for 220 calories burnt (22 minutes roughly at level 3) or skip roping for 20 minutes.
Hey!
I've heard sourdough, the 'real' kind, is the healthiest bread and really good for you.
However, i've researched and hear that the one found at your classic woolies, coles, and bakers delight is not 'real', and was wondering if anyone had recommendations where i can get the proper one of just flour, salt, n water. thanks :)
Hi 1200 Cal Pals
Outsourcing which is the best tasting protein powder on the market.
I'm into strength training so whey protein isolate would be good if possible for bioavailability. I don't mind paying a bit more for a premium product but since I will be using it often, I want it to taste as good as possible. If I don't like the taste or texture then it tends to just sit in the cupboard gathering dust.
hi i am just wanting to know if what is written on the cans is correct or is it fishy the (nutritional facts) please as i am going to start dirty fasting where i can have some calories but not to many i will link the products here

So on the nutritional info for the GYG menu, the salads are listed as ‘with chipotle mayo’. At the bottom it has the cals of the mayo on its own which is 124 cals for a serve. Could I assume that if I ordered a salad with no mayo, I could subtract 124 calories from the salad total and 13.6grams from the fat? It’s just that 182 cals seems so little for a grilled chicken salad but idk. I know it’s just an estimate anyway but yeah, would you guys track a chicken salad no mayo as 182, a ground beef salad with no mayo as 228 and so on?
Thanks! :) Just wanted to get some others opinions

Hi all! Has anyone had any luck switching from whey protein to vegan? I’m not lactose intolerant but for some reason protein powder is giving me the worst stomach aches, could possibly be the sweeteners used in the flavoured ones but just looking for any gentle on the stomach protein powders. I would go without but I’m pretty much vegetarian so need protein powder to hit my target.
It says on the website calories per 100g is 360 kJ. The single package contains 60 g NET of dry noodle but the calories per serving somehow became 360 gr with 1300 kJ for a single package? Is the 360 kJ/100 gr referring to weight of noodles once it's added with water?
I personally hate the taste of sweeteners and sugar alternatives. I prefer things to just be sugar free.
Years ago Woolies had Mojo kombucha which I loved. But then Coca-cola bought it out and killed it. I've been on the look out for easy to buy kombucha ever since - but for some reason all the ones at the grocery store add sweeteners to their mixes. Or the ones I like seem to stop being stocked.
I'm hoping someone might have ideas about some similar to the Mojo ones. I'd probably have to ship them to my house, because I'm regionally located. But maybe there's a hidden gem out there.
I did try making kombucha at home, but I kept stressing myself out that I was going to give myself food poisoning. Our climate also isn't great for it.
I’m looking for a more cost effective alternative to energy drinks as I can’t stand coffee and this looked pretty decent plus is on special at chemist warehouse rn.
Has anyone tried it? Or have any other brand recommendations?
I bought the Farm Pride 950ml bc I see lots of recipes that use egg whites. My only concern is that it's currently frozen and if I thaw it, I'll need to use the whole 950ml? Or can I thaw it once and then seperate into batches and freeze those batches?
Any recommendations for a portable sachet that can be added to water on the go? I tried the Crystal LIght Sugar Free sachets and they are perfect, except that they have caffeine! I really don't want to be drinking caffeine in the afternoon. Do you any have suggested alternatives?
Hey 👋 McDonald’s app is telling me a bacon and egg McMuffin is 289 calories. I can’t swallow that (figuratively of course). What are your thoughts? Realistic?

i know its pretty simple but i tried one today
to me it just hits way better than a sugar free soft drink could
has a few more cals than something like coke zero tho
Guys I just went to Aldi and the cottage pie is gone 😭
It’s been replaced by a shepherds pie which has higher cals.
45grams of protein and 300 calories. Two pouches of vanilla, one pouch of mango. I’ve also made a rokeby shake+ protein powder+ xanthan gum pint, but I prefer the yoghurt to the “ice cream” bc my protein powder aftertaste isn’t great.
Only downside is how LOUD this machine is
So I tried making the viral breakfast weetbix tiramisu, using an espresso shot rather than instant coffee powder. Omg it was so delicious!!! I topped mine off with YoPro vanilla yoghurt and avalanche sugar free hot chocolate powder. It really tasted like a dessert and the macros on this one are awesome. https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSjJpvY4p/
looking for recommendations please and the best value for money
i got the sugar free one from gloria jeans (it’s the brand arkadia) but it’s not very strong meaning you have to use more of it so i’m running out of it very quickly- and it’s too expensive to not last at least a couple of months 😫
TIA 🩷
Hey All,
I usually eat really healthy but probably 2-3 times a week I’ll get hood burger, I get the cheeseburger, chips (there’s so many!) and burger sauce. That’s all I eat for the day but just wondering if anyone knows the calorie estimate for it? I’m guessing like 1000 for the chips, 1000 for the burger, and like 1-200 for the sauce? Hoping it’s less but jw to see whether I should cut it out.
Sydneysiders or anyone who’s tried the legendary emperor’s puffs - how many calories do you think are in each?
Ps. Not my pic
Anyone know how much is in a Zeus Greek Street Hermes wrap? I cannot find anything about their nutritional info online. If not, give us your best guesstimates.
I can't find the nutritional labels online - even on woolies website haha. If anyone has seen them in store could you drop the calorie count of the pint? Somehow, I'm sensing they will be on the higher side.
Hi, I wanted to check in and see if anyone has tried the Lady Shake range. I’m looking for a meal replacement shake that’s not overly sweet and has a coffee flavor. If you have any recommendations, I’d really appreciate it! :)
