This is GONDWANA Croc from the GONDWANA - Das Praehistorium museum in Germany. It had been posted here before, but no one mentioned its creator. It turns out, the creators are the Japanese company Kokoro. This company specializes in creating animatronics for various exhibitions and is known for its work in the Natural History Museums of London and the USA, the Dinópolis dinosaurs in Spain, among others. An interesting fact is that this company is part of the Sanrio group, creators of Hello Kitty! Happy Day!
I remember riding this as a kid, and I’m pretty sure this is where my fear originated. We once got stuck near the moving dragon and all I could imagine was falling in 😭
If anyone has more photos of it please share!!
I took a trip to Gurnee Mills Mall recently. I took a picture of the crocodile outside The Rainforest Cafe. I remember being afraid of this thing when I was little. Not because it was in the water; I just thought it looked realistic. Now I’m freaked out at the thought of falling next to this thing.
