I will be heading to Saskatoon, sask. Canada the first week of January 2025 to open a safe.. If anyone needs a safe opened while I'm there send me a message. Spread the word.
Yesterday, I Purchased a Leabank Safe second hand safe, It did not come with a combination the Dial was taped and it would open and close. However, One of my children has been to the dial and turned it and I can't get into it.
I usually laugh at Sentry safes, but this one gave me the run around.
This one tried to give me the run around. But we got it.
I got this free 'safe' from the local free social media group. I thought it would be a fun challenge to open and useful to to store documents in once the code was recovered from the inside. I have picked the tubular lock and have tried quite a few methods to bypass the electronic lock but have not had success yet. I would like to retain function of the 'safe', and would rather not destroy it in the process of opening. I did get a borescope camera inside and found the instruction manual for the safe (pictured), which will have the electronic code in it. I know that I can call the company and pay $ to retrieve the code, but I would rather work towards solving the puzzle. I would appreciate your suggestions on methods of bypassing the electronic portion. From this video it looks like the solenoid is behind the plastic portion of the key pad which makes using a magnet to manipulate the solenoid difficult. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwB7-PKpeQ8&ab_channel=What.is.unseen Thanks for the hints!
Edit: I clearly don't know how to properly add pictures.
I bought a UNION SAFE COMPANY 10 Gun Key Lock Security Cabinet and it came with 2 keys, one of which was bent. Where can I make a copy or order a replacement key?
Hi All - I'm a recreational lock-picker who has now caught the safe-cracking bug. This week, I opened a S&G 6700-series lock that hadn't been opened in about 40+ years. It was challenging to learn from YouTube videos, but I finally got it.
Now, a friend has asked if I can open her safe. But.it's got an electronic lock. I don't know where to begin. Any advice or links to reference material would be most appreciated!
Oh - and the story behind this safe is that my friend bought the house that has the safe in it. She put her jewelry in it and then forgot the code. She contacted the seller who told her he'd dig it up for her but then he died(!). She probably has it written down somewhere, but that's no fun. I want to learn how to open it before she finds the combo. Thanks for any help!
ETA: I don't post a lot, so I am not sure why my picture didn't upload, but the safe says, "Steelwater" on the front and this appears to be the model: https://steelwatergunsafes.com/products/sw592216
I have an old Gary Safe Co. floor safe from The City of Industry. A while back, some shady contractors tried to break into it while working on our house without our knowledge. Needless to say, they didn’t succeed, and we promptly fired them. But their attempt left the safe in rough shape: the dial has been busted off, and there are deep cuts slashed into the round lid.
We’d completely forgotten about the safe until recently, but now we’re eager to open it up and see what’s inside. I’ve included photos of the safe from before the contractors got to it, as well as how it looks today. I’m looking for advice on how to best or most easily break into this safe, even if it means destroying it, as long as the contents inside are not damaged. Any help from experienced safecrackers or knowledgeable folks would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Hay everyone. So I have bought a shop and in the shop is a Dudley mark 2 grade one safe with the key (or at least a key that fits) the problem is the dam safe won't open. Is there a trick to opening it or is it simply the wrong key. I'll get some pictures on Monday if needed.
It's not a combination lock it's a key with a handle which I would guess you turn after it's unlocked.
This safe is a beast stand around 3/4 foot high.
Thanks all in advance
