That's it. That's the post. Theo/Robin is my favourite pairing by far is CAOS. Not exactly sure why but I don't care why.
Horror writer Algernon Blackwood was a contemporary of H.P. Lovecraft and like the author of the Cthulhu stories was an influence on CAOS. I have more than a suspicion that Faustus Blackwood is his namesake. Algernon is a fine writer, a master of spooky atmosphere, of creating the feeling that all is not quite right; he is far more subtle than Lovecraft. Algernon Blackwood’s best known stories are The Wendigo and The Willows. His works are available online as free downloads online and are perfect Halloween reads.
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, creator of CAOS, really knows his sources. There’s a lot of background to the episodes in this series, especially when it gets into the Eldritch Terrors (“eldritch” is a word H.P. Lovecraft virtually owns).
I’ve decided to rewatch Sabrina since tis the season, but it’s always bugged me in episode 2 when she’s talking to father Blackwood and he’s trying to convince her to do her baptism, he says “but I do hope I’ll see you in the woods on Samhain”. He says sam hain instead of the actual pronunciation saowin. I wonder why that is since it seems the directors were trying to be as accurate as possible with this show, how did they miss this one?
It’s one of my favs tbh and Sabrina’s wig is the best in season 3 out of all the seasons. (Currently in my October rewatch)
Ok I've been trying to wrap my mind around this. It's confirmed Sabrina is 16, like just 16. But then Ambrose is like..70+. Then the weird sisters must also be 70+ right? From what I've heard. Or 18+ AT LEAST. Else itd be SO weird that ambrose has been with them. But then there's nick...Hes been with the weird sisters. Is he 18+? Is he maybe 18-19? That wouldnt be too weird I guess, considering he dated Sabrina (mild spoiler warning for season 3!) - tho the two didnt have sex. Maybe they end up doing it tho, idk I'm on season 3 so for me they just broke up. But if Nick is younger like Sabrina then its weird to me that he slept with the way older weird sisters?!
It baffles me and makes me confused. Either way, if Nick is also way older it makes it so weird that he was with Sabrina....Or do witch relationships not have that same age taboo considering their slow aging?!
I just finished rewatching caos for the second time but i already miss it so much. i like crave it. I love the entire cast and I love Nick and Sabrina together and I wish we could gotten to see more of them happy together and make things work the second time. I’m really hoping that there is a chance we get more seasons but what am I supposed to do for now? Are the comics worth a read? Should I actually go and watch the riverdale episodes with her?
I’ve just started rewatching CAOS and I’m on season 2. I have a lot of comments in general about each of the seasons and episodes lol but I guess the biggest issue I have is how quick Harvey moved on to Roz. He was telling Sabrina he loved her and then all of sudden they break up and he’s flirting with Roz and likes her. It just feels a bit rushed and I know she also moves on with Nick but Roz is meant to be her best friend and then she ends up with her ex who she loved. Just having a rant lol.
No spoilers please! Is he Satan himself or are they seperate beings? Is Satan above him?
Spoilers for season 4 if you haven’t seen it yet
I’ve always thought it was weird that Lilith decided to murder her child, I completely understand wanting to keep him away from Lucifer but realistically could she not have hid Adam somewhere far away and just find a different mortal baby to slaughter in his place? Maybe he could sense that the blood was Morningstar blood or something I’m not sure but she seemed to really care for Adam and I find it sad she didn’t try to trick Lucifer instead.
I recognize him SO MUCH but idk who it is!! His face his voice! I googled a bunch but I can’t find anything really since I think he’s not named? He’s in part two episode 7.
Why did the writers make Harvey so angry in season 2‽
I'm on ep 3 and he's always catching an attitude towards Sabrina
I found it difficult to pick which one of the drawings in the opening credits were supposed to be of the aunties and even had to google for the cast names to find make sure. Both of the aunties are drawn to have super dark hair and their faces are unrecognizable. Is it just me?
So in S3, Zelda kills hilda and buries her in the magic soil for her to come back to life. Only seconds later zelda also gets killed
Why in the ever living fk, does sabrina not just bury her in the soil too. There is plenty of space. Is there seriously only the magic soil in that one, very specific, single human shaped and sized plot????????
I was rewatching the show and found Harvey with a cell phone, which caught me by surprise considering I had never noticed it before in all the times I had rewatched it. And honestly, I always thought the show was set in the 60s-80s.
So I just started S3. Previously, Sabrina had her celestial powers as herald of hell, then pawned them off, then Lilith gifted back her powers
Except only normal witch powers? So she's never going to get the celestial ones back? This makes no sense. She is literally daughter of stana, yet she's so.. useless
Tbh I feel quite bored watching at this point because it feels like such a regression. The celestial powers were too strong, and had they stayed in the show everything would be as easy "let me close my eyes and wish for this thing oh here it is"
So I feel like they introduced the powers too early, and it would make sense to have them towards the end of the show so we don't have to have an entire show of her just being OP, but still
Please spoil, does she ever get them back? Does hse ever become.. better. So far she has just been selfish, pushy, and can barely recite a few spells??
I'm really enjoying the show, but does anyone else think that the actress playing sabrina, just isn't very good? Like I'm enjoying the plots and everything else, but she's just a terrible actress? Anyone feel the same?
Our own Sabrina, Keirnan Shipka, stars in the Amazon Halloween slasher comedy Totally Killer. Check it out, it’s good!
I don't understand how Sabrina is a tribrid, is Lucifer and Edward both her father at the same time? or is Sabrina only the daughter of Lucifer but that would'nt make her a tribrid but a hybrid
Does anyone in here know how Sabrina and Harvey's relationship began - is it ever explored in the comics?
I really enjoyed binging this show but am I just not remembering or seeing all details or are there some issues with parts of the writing?
Sabrina addresses Prudence, Agatha and Dorcas by name in episode one. Where would she even know them from, though? Not the unholy mass at the desecrated church, because for some reason, Sabrina didn't even know her own high priest before he came to visit, so perhaps anyone under 16 isn't allowed to attend for some undisclosed reason? Same with episode seven, the entrails hanging from the door. Sabrina is shocked and asks her aunts what's going on. They say it's a feast of feast invitation to participate in the drawing. But if the feast of feast happens every year, why does Sabrina not know about it as well as about so many other things? I don't understand the worldbuilding. Sabrina evidently knows spells, that witches engage in cannibalism, about the Academy of Unseen Arts, so it's not as if young witches are being coddled. But she's showing illogical gaps in witch knowledge. Which is weird considering how devout Zelda is.
On a side note, how come we only saw young children as ghosts at the academy? There were otherwise only living people that appeared to already have had their dark baptism, so 16+.
And when Sabrina met her mother in limbo, she said the coven had taken her baby after the baptism. It sounded as if it was a punishment for having her baptized to me, but in episode 3 it was a huge surprise to everyone that Sabrina had been baptized at the Catholic mother church of Greendale.
I also feel like with various little hints throughout the show they wanted to go in the direction of Sabrina's parents having been murdered and in season 2, episode 5 Edward Spellman's ghostly vision really does claim Blackwood killed him and Diana. Miss Wardwell later confirms it's true, and Ambrose's Tarot reading showed him Blackwood wanted all Spellmans dead. And then...Edward and Diana's murder just never really comes up again after Nick and Sabrina failed at their glamor spell to have Blackwood confess??? This seems so unlike Sabrina. Why not just slip him some truth cake again and ask? Why didn't they use truth cake when the anti-pope was murdered and Ambrose was falsely imprisoned for it? Eh.
Rewatching for the hundredth time.. In chapter 16 why does he help hide Ambrose in the lounge only to later tell Father Blackwood about the mouse?? I’m so confused
Is there an "ending"?. Or will it end in a sort of clifhanger? I really like this show, it ticks everything I like, but since it was cancelled, idk if I should subject myself in that sad feeling of watching it all but no followup after.
I just also read that my show's crush Ambrose's actor died just this year. He was my favourite in the show and always looked forward to his character on screen.
I can't figure out if Lucas was supposed to be involved with The Weird in some way, or if he was just a random side character with no purpose. At first, I assumed he was The Weird and he was going to infect her. But then we learned that the corpse Ambrose was working on was the original host of The Weird and it must have transferred from him to Sabrina. Also, Lucas seemingly freaks out about Sabrina and goes running for the hills, as most students would do in this situation, so he acts like an uninvolved side character. The only reason I'm confused is because he appeared in a dream to her about The Weird after their first date, he loves to swim, and his presence is completely random. So does anyone know what the deal is with Lucas?
