I keep seeing it, and I'm choosing to believe that people just completely don't know what is and isn't a Nazi uniform, but it's getting to a point that I'm a bit concerned.

I understand Hetalia is a historical anime, obviously, but it's never posts discussing it, it's always unrelated to the image to some extent. The uniform doesn't add to the post, and I'm hoping we can be more mindful about it.

Just a thought, I'm just worried.

1. Russia always carries around a can of condensed milk in his car in case he's ever hungry. It's his favourite food since Soviet times.

2. Italy and Germany sometimes like to play football after training.

3. Japan is secretly a fanboy of Hatsune miku. America knows about this and taunts him to no end.

4. England once accidentally traveled into the nyotaliaverse. Nowadays, if he's ever losing against America, he just imagines his Fem! Version's body on him, and how funny he'd look with boobs.

5. Every once in a while, Ukraine likes to send a bouquet of sunflowers to her siblings.

6. Hungary wishes that she could go back to her Magyar days and be free while galloping on horses. That's why she likes to volunteer at the stables on the weekends.

7. Prussia has one of the most impressive COD killstreaks, and a very respectable KD score of 1.79. Sometimes, he'll team up with the rest of the Awesome trio/BTT trio (except for France).

8. America is actually smarter than he looks. He even helped with the Saturn V rockets. But only plays dumb, because he doesn't really like being a smartass 24/7.

9. China is a big Jackie Chan fan, and has even met the guy personally.

10. Spain likes Monty python a lot. He'll sometimes intrude into an event, discussion, or meeting by saying "Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!"

11. Austria was good friends with John Strauss. In fact, Mr. Strauss was the one who helped Austria hone his musical skills.

12. Canada has never actually participated actively on the frontlines. Instead, he always prefers to carry out Artillery operations.

13. France gets angry whenever somebody plays the "traditionelle musette" meme. He's had enough of it.

14. Romano was once a smuggler for the Sicilian mafia. But as it turns out, his angsty nature led to a run in with the cops, after which he and his affiliates were arrested. Once he got released, he was kicked out by the boss for being an incompetent idiot.

15. Germany will not admit it, but dogs melt his heart like crazy. If you spy on him while he's alone, you'll find him playing with his dog, laughing like a schoolgirl and talking to it in a high pitched baby voice like: "Oh, coochie coochie poo, oh mein sweetheart, oh you're such a good boy."

I recently fell into the deep dark pits of hetalia again when i felt nostalgic one day a few weeks back and decided to rewatch it. Now, i absolutely LOVE drawing. My wallet has really suffered because of how many sketchbooks i've bought throughout the years, only for me to pretty much burn through them in a matter of a few weeks. But as of late i've begun to have some issues.

It started when i was gonna try drawing a simple little self portrait in my school notebook. (Because no. The notebooks aren't safe either.) Since i was in a silly goofy mood i decided i'd draw myself as a south park character. All went well (or so it seemed) until i started drawing on the hair. It was like my hand started moving on it's own, and before i knew it, there he was. Alfred F. Jones. America. In the south park style. I thought "oh well, that's funny. I'll let him stay.". And then i moved on with my day.

But problems started when i was gonna draw a reference picture of some OCs of mine. Again, all went well at the start. I don't know if i blacked out or something, but before i knew it i had drawn that goddamn leather jacket again. Then came the blonde hair and glasses, and there he was again. With his stupid grin as if he was mocking me. By now i had started getting uneasy, and tried drawing something simpler instead. Just a cute little plant in a pot. Nothing harmful about that.. right? No. I was a fool to think so. Slowly but surely, it turned into an America plant. Why? Why was it doing this?

I started getting desperate. Minutes turned to hours as i drew and drew and drew, but no matter what i did, all of it turned into that fucking guy again. Alfred. I'm posting this as a last resort. Please, i need help. What can i possibly draw to cure this? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Oboro Tsukimigusa

For anyone who doesn't know, the first photo is Oboro Tsukimisa (and yes, he is male) from an anime called Shimoneta: A boring world where dirty jokes don't exist. As you could probably tell from that title, the show takes place in the future, where the japanese government has become overly puritanical and spies on everyone while the heroes are a terrorist organization who are trying to spread vulgarity and dirty humor back into the world.

The second photo is of Japan from hetalia, a comedy series where personified nations play out history.

Here's where my conspiracy comes in: Oboro has quite the dirty mind, doesn't he? In the first episode he is introduced in his job is to remove explicit items from the school, but he considers basketball hoops and toilet paper rolls as such, like, they aren't. You would need to get very creative to even see the potential on how to use these things for sex or to jack off. What do we know about Japan? He is a massive closet pervert and otaku, the kind of person who would make the kinds of assumptions that Oboro would.

Oboro also works for the government, and the leader of the country to be more specific! His job is to protect the leader's daughter Anna from any inappropriate advances or events that might occur but outside of that he is head (or at least high ranking) of the 'anti-obscenity' police force. This is a hallmark of the personified nations of Hetalia, who only answer to their bosses i.e. the president/king/dictator and who have to follow their commands.

But I can hear you saying, 'Their personalities are too different, how could they be the same person' and don't worry, I have an answer for you.

How did Japan become Oboro, well, I suggest that the government brainwashed and tortured him, to mold him into their ideal vision of the nation of japan. A country which doesn't question the propaganda they push and accepts and enforces it with no resistance.

Think about it, Oboro has no sense of self, he only does what his bosses ask of him down to the letter, like a machine or a robot, and is quick to change his tune whenever someone suggests hard enough that something isn't lewd, as he's been 'trained' to follow orders. What could have caused him to be like that? Real life methods of brainwashing are designed to break down the mind and mold the victim into whatever the perpetrator sees fit. And I don't put it above Shimoneta's government to do something like this, even if they are portrayed for comedy in the anime.

So, here is my proposal for what happened: The government in Shimoneta comes to power and begins banning anything remotely suggestive but there is a problem, their own national personification who still harbors love for such things (as it might as well be an open secret). Seeing this as a massive embarrassment and act of resistance by itself, they bring Japan in for some 'reeducation' and he goes missing, possibly for so long that everyone believes him to be under permanent arrest for his 'otaku tendencies'.

Later on, Oboro emerges as the right hand of the president and her husband and head of the anti-obsenity squad, and everybody is none the wiser. Maybe they even erased his memories, but that's a bit of a stretch to be honest.

And look at this everyone.
