"aUI is a philosophical language created in the 1950s by W. John Weilgart, Ph.D. to further intrapsychic harmony as well as interpersonal and intercultural understanding."

"Weilgart created aUI based on a similar idea — that there are some basic symbols and sounds — the building blocks of language — that are universal. He imagined aUI as a language of space, a more evolved language, that could help people to unify their conscious and unconscious thinking through words."

capital "i" in the aUI web dictionary

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to explore the aUI dictionary but I can't seem to be able to access what in the book is presented as I (capital "i") symbolising "sound". There is i and î but no I. Is it something I am doing wrongly ?

Thank you for your help bro ( with an "s" ? I don't know how plural gets expressed in aUI yet) !

Damien

Any active community? And, let the language evolve.

Is there any current active community (e.g. Discord) that we can practice speaking aUI? I love the design of aUI a lot, sadly it's not popular currently.

I also see the great evolution potential of aUI -- because of the small number of morphemes/roots, with sufficient number of speaker, it's possible that speakers will make up sensible word on their own, and they might do a much better job than one single/a few people! Toki pona is one such example.

Just as an experiment, I'm trying to not strictly following dictionary, but making word up using the "elements of meaning" in the following sentences. Are they readable?

brun, fnu wav trev at UIv aUI eb xu, fAm vec, hI? fu nQm trOv Us Ub aUI, yUg ynEm uc dEv cu.

I am interested in learning aUI - is it easy to learn?

I've heard it's like toki pona, with a root vocabulary where you have to break things down, and this really appeals to me. What's the best place I can learn aUI?

Is there a tutorial on how to write the aUI script?

I know the characters and everything, but when I see it written, it's always written in a certain way where the characters are stacked.

Encapsulated Language Project

Greetings all!

I come from a small Reddit community called 'The Encapsulated Language Project'. We are democratically creating a language which integrates as much scientific and mathematical knowledge into the language as possible. So far we've created a proto-phonology and have designed our own proto-number system. We are currently looking for new members to join and to suggest fresh ideas.

If you think this could be interesting, please join our sub: https://www.reddit.com/r/EncapsulatedLanguage/

Most of the discussion is taking place on the Discord: https://discord.com/invite/8WvgTRF

To get started on the basics, read our documentation: https://kroyxlab.github.io/elp-documentation/documentation.html

All are welcome :)

Alt. Phonology

So, after I learned toki pona, I decided to look back at one of the languages that made me want to learn conlangs, aUI. Unfortunately, I never really learned it because it's fairly hard to pronounce. If it were a syllabary, or didn't have around 20 vowels, i might have actually learned it earlier on. Does anyone use alternative pronunciations for aUI's phonemes?
