Glossary of terms:

Qualified Immunity granted: The government official (police officer, FBI agent, etc.) is allowed to do what was described and is immune to any criminal or civil litigation.

Qualified Immunity denied: The official can be held liable in a criminal or civil case for their actions.

1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th/6th/7th/8th/9th/10th/11th/DC: Shorthand descriptor of which Circuit Court Of Appeals this case is coming from (i.e. "10th" is the 10th Circuit). Circuit Courts are one step below the Supreme Court in the appeals process. Because the Supreme Court takes very few cases, Circuit opinions are typically the final say on the matter.
