I need to replace my engine, I want to get an engine from another mustang, I know I can get it from crown Vic and couple others, what are really the downside to getting something from crown Vic or anything other then what came in the 2000 mustang GT
So backstory last night after The Dodgers took it home... started burning out & doing donuts, and my car started overheating( knew it was going to happen) all the coolang splashed out, i parked near by let the car cool down had half a gallon of coolant poured it in. Drove home 10 min drive it over heated close to home and thats when the sound started happening and loud. Today it happened on my way to work when it started over heatin but it wasnt as loud as yesturday i clipped to videos , anybody know whatit can be ? Throw out bearing? Belt tensioner? Input tranny shaft?
I have a 2000 GT with long tube headers. The car is a 5 speed (remanned t45) and I’m getting ready to drop the motor/k-member so that I can get the trans out and replace the clutch. I believe the current headers I have on it are BBK (not 100% sure as the car already had them when I bought it), I want to get a set of long tubes that would allow me to remove the trans without having to drop the k-member too while I’ve got the motor out. I’ve heard that the American racing headers give enough clearance but want to be sure before buying them. Does anyone run those and if so do they give you room to remove the trans without also taking the motor out by way of the k-member?
Orher than the pcv valve hose (thanks Reddit) anything else on this engine that you can catch that I can’t that needs replacing bad? You guys are the experts. Thanks, humbly.
While cornering an off ramp it cut off and I almost went into the wall but luckily figured out it turned off and let the clutch out in 4th to jump it back on.
I am in the process of coyote swapping my mustang, and have some parts of anyone is interested. I’m in VA and will be willing to meet halfway anyone in Va, Md and Nc if they’re serious. Here’s what I have:
4.6 2v. With Sean Hyland 5.1 stroker rotating assembly, Manley rods, Manley 18cc dished pistons, DSS main support, ARP head studs. Cylinders are scored on 4 and 8 so will need a bore/rebuild.
Patriot stage 3 heads with one bad exhaust valve.
Kenne Bell 2.1 with 14 psi pulley, bypass relocation, Frpp/ Siemens deka 80lb injectors, brand new motorcraft cop’s, big air intake, Bbk 75mm throttle body, thump racing tensioner, boost a pump, new Bbk 300lph fuel pump assembly, x4 with 93 tune that will need to be unlocked, instructions included. Everything needed to install and run will be included, even the belt.
Tremec tko600 with bellhousing
Bbk longtubes/catless midpipe/magna flow street series cat back.
I have receipts for all parts. Everything has 20,000 miles on it. Dm me if interested.
So I’m looking for a new engine of course, I have a 2000, Mustang GT Windsor. I am tryna find out if my car had a PI engine( performance improved) I am asking this because if I don’t have a PI engine and I go to swap it I will not know if I need more parts or not till it’s too late

Bought this beater GT as a project/fun car but I don’t know much to nothing about these stangs. Any idea what may be causing the noise? Drivability is seemingly unaffected.
It’s a 2003 mustang GT 5 speed. You can hear some type of rattling. Do you guys have any idea what it could be? From the engine bay it sounds fine. I don’t have an easily available lift to throw it up on so just looking for some recommendations on where to start If possible.
Hey guys! I’m new to the forum and Mustang platform. I picked up an ‘01 Mustang convertible couple of months ago! The passenger side rear quarter window stopped working all of a sudden. What connections/components do I check to diagnose this issue? The other three windows work fine! Thanks!
Title. My tail lights have this issue where the running lights vs braking or turn signal lights have barely enough difference in brightness. During the day, if I have my parking lights on then its nearly impossible to tell when my rear turn signals are on because they don't get much brighter than the running lights. I currently have LED replacement bulbs in the tails, but this problem existed when they were incandescent as well and was most of the reason I switched to LEDs, because I thought it would fix the issue. It didn't.
So, is there any way to either brighten the turn signals/brakes or dim the running lights? At night it isnt so bad, but its still sometimes hard to tell. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
My airbag light is on and the passenger airbag had deployed, any ideas on getting the light out? I need to pass a a safety inspection for salvage title, it has a passenger side short code
Was driving and a weird LOUD sound started.. hope it isn’t a manifold gasket but any advice is appreciated!!
Does anybody know what these wires go to? They all appear cleanly cut but ive been having electric issues (flashers cutting out/staying on/rapidly flashing, and a constant beeping when i pull the headlight knob out) and ive checked off pretty much all causes except wiring. any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
alright so in my previous post I mentioned getting LEDs but thanks to u guys, it turns out those r meant for projector housings and will look weird and do a bad job with reflector housings so now i’ll be looking for halogens and im also doing the turn signal switchbacks so any recommendations??
Whenever I go above 130 km/h and have cruise control on my AC stops working, yet if it’s below that without cruise control it works freezing cold.
I have checked my AC gas and compressor and both are in top shape.
What could be the issue as it’s working fine before with cruise control and high speed
