https://twitter.com/Desura/status/1743338989292224667 Guys! I'm a persistent mf! Let's ask for our games back!
One of the few things I truly miss that have gone. Hopefully, someone will revive this service in the future!
I visited Desura.com today, so I've seen that it turned into a untrustworthy browser-game-site.
So what happened with the platform? I've seen a few posts here at reddit, but the last I've seen is 4 years old.
I suppose there ain't any way to backup my library now?
I'd bought FNAF back in 2012, and now my daughter is obsessed with the series. After digging through my emails, I found I purchased it on Indie Royale, which was operated by Desura. Unfortunately, as you know, Desura is no more, and if I had the installer, I can no longer find it.
I don't suppose anyone has it? I'm happy to show proof of purchase.
After OnePlay bought the remains of Desura almost the only thing they did with their purchase was spam the Desura and Indie Royale FB pages with memes. This stopped a while back, but today they advertised a sale on Direct2Drive (which I had forgotten still existed). Since it seems like OnePlay is gone, I wonder whose hands the Indie Royale FB page has fallen into now?
The domain is now owned by a Russian guy who will basically turn the site into a flash games hub

It was only on Desura, and my copy sadly wasn't download when Desura shut down. There's no other way to obtain it.
I tried accessing oneplay.com just now and even it is down. Error 523 Origin is unreachable
(desura.com goes entirely nowhere, of course, alas)
Still waiting for you to come back so I can withdraw that $100 I made from my game.
It seems that the last time Desura was up was around May-June of 2018, I'd thought I would make a post about how a few misc things, The first thing that i should probably mention is your account is not gone its actually on https://www.dbolical.com/ you can sign into your Desura account and start using the account there, second is the fact of I am hoping that Desura comes back online for a few days in 2019(probably wont happen) and that most things you bought on Desura can be transfered over to steam and/or itch.io. I will leave you to discuss about anything related to Desura in the comments as this will probably be the last post on this subreddit. Hope you have a good rest of your day :P
I sent an email to the press contact for the latest parent company one play asking for a status update. This was what I got in reply:
Hi (Real name redacted for personal privacy)
Thanks for your mail.
We are still working on Desura, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
When we have a clear picture on when we can relaunch, we will announce it.
Best
Lasse
Can't access the site, i see it's down since like 40 days.
Frustrated that I can't even redeem and old Desura code. What happens to all the desura games you own or bough. WTH.....
Oh, Desura, how I thought you to be cool.
However, with this back and forth of being dead, and then alive, and then a zombie... I can't trust you.
Listen, Desura Devs... can you just like... give everyone a backup copy of every game that they have access to or a Steam key? Your system's worse than Uplay now. And that's saying quite a bit.
After a week or so offline, Desura.com and the desura client can be launched, but I cannot download anything, either through the Desura client or a direct download. All I get are "link expired" and other error messages. Anyone else able to download games?
Yesterday Desura was down for a time and I could only get into offline mode. I only have two of about 100 games that I own downloaded. Desura did come online for a few minutes and I immediately tried to start downloading my other games, but I kept getting error messages that the links had expired. Then Desura went offline again.
I've seen lots of messages from 6 months about how Desura is going away for good, but then it's back, but then it's gone. Have other people been able to install any of their games in the past few days? I'm afeared!
Just wanting to get rid of unredeemed codes that were gotten through humble bundles in the past. Have fun.

Well, just went to Desura and the account system is down. Is it the same for you? I can no longer log in. I kept wishing they would just sell off the site, but since it is radio silence it is probably just done for good now. Bummer.
anyone else?
I'm hearing the creator went bankrupt a while back then there saying its back up but I still cant do an account conformation.
I have been trying to purchase Xenominer from Desura for months now and would constantly try every now and then, but every. Single. Time, all that happens is the screen says "Now processing. Please wait while we validate your credit card details and deliver your games." and never completes my order. I saw the recent post that it is back online and was wondering if I can actually get the game now?
Its back guys! :D
So a while ago I bought FNAF on desura and today I went to download it just now to play it and the website is down and the launcher won't update. Did they close their site or something cause I was not informed of this via email or anything.
Is Desura still bankrupt? Is the desktop client still being developed? Is ModDB affected by all this?
Thanks.
I just signed up for this, and I have been trying for two days to get a confirmation email sent to me, but it won't arrive.
