For aspiring writers and bloggers, a place to link to your work and see how it fares in an open community.
Upvote the better of the two. Or read three upvote two, etc. If everyone justs posts and walks away, we won't be able to sustain any meaningful existence here. If we actively read and separate the good from the not-as-good, it will produce a benefit for quality submissions. It's a small price to pay for not being banned and tormented, really.
To prevent the sub from becoming a sea of garbage, though, moderators may remove any post at their own discretion. The bar may not be set very high - we will let voting take care of assessing quality for the most part - but if your content is not even well presented or original, it may be removed.
Unfair and subjective? Possibly. But it's the only way to create a place where we have a chance to exchange and help promote quality content that is banned virtually everywhere else on Reddit.
1) Please upvote or downvote the content based on its quality here on Reddit, but try to make your comments on the post itself at the contributor's website directly.
2) Anyone appearing to solicit any kind of call-to-action on their blog [like clicking on ads] will be banished to the nether regions of hell. It puts all of us at risk by association.
3) This sub is for sharing your blog content. If you want to discuss questions about the non-creative side of blogging, like technical or marketing questions, bounce over to r/Blogging
4) No pornographic material. Yes, even tastefully done art porn needs to go elsewhere. Our goal here is to cultivate a community for writers and artists not focused on genitalia.
5) Anything that appears to be an ad, or trying to sell a product in any way, will be removed. Same goes for pages that are almost entirely advertisements clearly designed to bait traffic.
6) If you wouldn't want to be seen reading what you're posting at work, then mark it as NSFW.
7) You're limited to one new blog post per week. Posting the same article more than once [after changing the permalink] will get you banned.
